Three people died on Tuesday when a small plane crashed near an indigenous village in western Guatemala, firefighters reported. The National Association of Municipal Firefighters responded to the plane crash. The emergency occurred in a village in the jurisdiction of Chimaltenango. Upon arriving at the scene, rescuers found a scene filled with debris. They immediately began searching for the crew, but found no survivors. Preliminary reports indicate that three people have died, identified as Carlos Javier García Villatoro, Franklin Alexander Francisco Santos, and a third person who was not listed on the flight manifest at the time of takeoff from La Aurora International Airport.
