00:00last night something crazy happened a couple things that were crazy happened in the dodger
00:03brewer game one brewer dodgers have bases loaded one out uh hit a ball deep to center field center
00:10fielder goes back hits his glove pops out of his glove hits the yellow tape on the top of the fence
00:16which honestly i thought that meant home run i've been told this morning that that's there so the
00:21umpires can uh see or differentiate between the top of the fence of the wall behind it but i always
00:26thought the yellow line was a home run so i guess i'm wrong on that although i'd like to see an
00:31actual fact toward you know presented to me i just heard i somebody on my staff just said no no you're
00:37wrong it's accurate and it wasn't a home run last night all i'm saying is they didn't rule it a home
00:44run the ball hits the dude in the glove pops out of the glove and it hits the yellow line right but it
00:49didn't hit the top it hits the yellow line what's the point of having the yellow line if it's not a
00:54home run what do you mean we don't need a yellow line there anyway so it's like a four inch whatever
01:00six inch line yeah it's like yellow paint the ball pops out of the dude's glove hits the yellow tape
01:06i'm like home run grand slam dodgers are gonna win now right it pops out of his glove he then catches it
01:13the runners have no idea what's going on so the dude on third actually goes back to tag up at third
01:19and kind of lollygag so him gets thrown out because it's a forced play because the bases
01:24were loaded so that's out number two then the catcher realizes that the dude who's on second
01:29base never goes to third base so he takes a slow walk in the park up to third base steps on the bag
01:36and we have ourselves a double play but that i know that's the most talked about play of last night
01:41and it was crazy watching it live last night the announcers were also very confused about what the
01:46hell was going on and i love brian anderson but i'm like him i'm like home run caught out not okay
01:52nobody knows what the hell's going on but the play i want to talk about uh is actually in the ninth
01:58inning so fast forward to the ninth inning i first off the dodgers decide to take blake snell
02:03out of the game he pitched like a one hitter through eight was at 103 pitches and was cruising
02:10but you know baseball can't let a guy finish a game so they bring sasaki in he doesn't do a good
02:16job he's their closer so they have to bring another dude in to save sasaki but here's where i want to
02:21get to it's now a 2-1 game it's the bottom of the ninth milwaukee's up obviously there's dudes on base
02:29the bases are loaded and you've got bryce terang up lefty okay curveball comes in and looks like it's
02:37going to hit his back leg so his left leg all right because it's a way inside pitch instinctively
02:44bryce terang kind of jumps out of the way or moves his left leg out of the way so it's a ball it's not
02:52ball four but it's a ball all right fast forward the at bat he winds up striking out on some high cheese
02:59and the dodgers win the game 2-1 everybody watching that game now especially uh brewers fans
03:05are yelling and screaming at bryce terang you gotta let the ball hit you or actually move your
03:11leg into the flight of the ball so that you get hit by pitch that forces in the tying run now it's a
03:182-2 game two outs bases loaded a hit wins the game for you and you take a 1-0 lead and i'm sitting
03:25there going you guys have some balls you people out there you negative nellies out there who've and i'm
03:33not typically a guy that goes if you've never done it hard to comment on it because it's my whole
03:38living your whole living we've never done it but we have opinions on it you're asking a guy
03:44having a projectile thrown at him at 90 plus miles per hour so we're talking splits of seconds here
03:53the ball is about to hit you and you want this guy to have the presence of mind in game one of the
04:02nlcs to actually allow the ball to hit him or even worse physically move into the flight of the ball
04:10to guarantee that the ball hits you to get the tying run
04:14you
