00:00I get angry at Penn State, right?
00:02Sometimes it can be a little bit envious
00:03because the reason why, Joe,
00:05is I want to talk to you about Penn State's 2026 schedule
00:08because every year we look at Penn State,
00:10it's the same MO.
00:11Like, you are James Franklin.
00:13You're an institution that sells out 110,000 tickets
00:16every single game.
00:17Unlimited budget.
00:18Buy whatever players you want
00:20and the fans will always support you.
00:22It's a massive home field advantage.
00:23And for a while the way,
00:24you're playing a Big Ten schedule.
00:26It's like, okay, every once in a while,
00:28Michigan's going to be good every three years.
00:29Now, they've been good the past couple years,
00:31don't get me wrong.
00:31Ohio State's always good.
00:33Somebody might rise up and bite you,
00:34but you know you're going to get at least 10 wins
00:36every single year just by being blindfolded,
00:39and that should be good enough.
00:40So this year when you open up, just like every year,
00:42you play horrible opponents to start the season.
00:45And a lot of times you don't even leave Beaver Stadium.
00:48Look at this 2026 schedule,
00:50which James Franklin got fired this year.
00:52Whoever's going to be the coach next year
00:53walks into this schedule, Joe.
00:55Home to Marshall, at Temple, home to Buffalo.
00:58Every year, every September,
01:01you open up with three free victories
01:03as the Penn State head coach.
01:05Then you head in the Big Ten play,
01:07the vaunted Maryland Terrapins,
01:09which is basically a home game for Penn State in Maryland.
01:12You're going to take on Michigan,
01:13who is a decent opponent.
01:15At Northwestern, bad opponent.
01:17Minnesota, bad opponent.
01:18Purdue, bad opponent.
01:20Rutgers, bad opponent.
01:21You play USC.
01:22It was a good program, but you got them at home.
01:24Wisconsin, bad opponent.
01:26At Washington, end of the season,
01:28we'll see what that turns out to be.
01:29But it doesn't seem like Penn State
01:31sets their schedule up every single year.
01:33No Oregon on the schedule.
01:35No Ohio State.
01:36Like, you mint yourself 10 wins,
01:38and James Franklin's like,
01:39I can't believe they're going to get rid of me here.
01:40Oh, did you see my two playoff wins last year, Joe?
01:43Which meant they beat, what, SMU,
01:45and then Boise State.
01:47The most fraudulent scheduling
01:49in the history of college football
01:50always takes place at Penn State.
01:53How is it possible?
01:55And I think, Donnie,
01:57if you put that list back up on the screen,
01:59because if I'm not mistaken,
02:01of all of those games,
02:03there is only one team in the top 25 right now.
02:07One team that they're playing,
02:09and that's USC,
02:10who, by the way,
02:11wasn't in the top 25
02:12until this just past week.
02:15So they don't play any teams
02:17currently in the top 25 on that schedule.
02:20And that may not change, Donnie,
02:22by this time next year as well.
02:24So maybe it is the job of the century, right?
02:27Go in, run the table,
02:28and then get blown out by Ohio State
02:30in the Big Ten, you know, championship.
02:33Congrats.
