00:00Good evening and welcome back to Carl Shulton. I've got Helion's keeper Alfie
00:06Mansell with me. Alfie, that must have been a lot of fun out there.
00:11Yeah, it was good. It was good to be out there with the boys. Another win, two on the bounce now.
00:16It was good fun. Obviously, playing against 10 men is a bit easier than 11, which helped.
00:21And then seeing the boys do their stuff from where I'm standing is just a joy, really.
00:26Well, yeah, I mean, that result is a team game and you've thoroughly paid your part in that.
00:34What's it like playing in front of the back there and watching people like Chris Welpdahl do their stuff?
00:42Yeah, I've played with some players that I'll hopefully go on to do some stuff. Hopefully, I can do it myself.
00:48But obviously, I've never played with someone like Welpdahl. The goals that he's getting at the minute is just incredible.
00:54Just the street that he's on. In the league especially, he's very special to watch. He's got very good experience under him.
01:01You can learn from him, even from him as a goalkeeper. It's just a pleasure to enjoy.
01:05Just sit back and just watch him do his thing.
01:08Good. I'm sure he'll be very pleased to hear that.
01:11On your own performance, what strikes me with you, you're very clean in your approach.
01:21There was a catch late doors that they pinged it in from the halfway line and you had to come through a bit of a crowd of players.
01:28I've got it on tape, so have a look at it. And you've caught it without juggling or anything.
01:32Yeah, just talk me through that process. Well, obviously, I've spent a lot of time building myself, training,
01:40making sure that everything I do as a goalkeeper is as clean as possible.
01:43Because if anything pops out of me or even just a remote touch can just cause it a severe sort of strike or give them another opportunity that I could have prevented really.
01:54So it's just been working on myself to be the cleanest person I could be as a goalkeeper.
01:59Because I don't want to give any opportunities away that hard. I don't need to.
02:03Yeah, that's really well put there. Clean sheets. I'm guessing as a goalkeeper, I've interviewed quite a few goalkeepers now.
02:12Yeah. Clean sheet. It's all about a clean sheet. I know you didn't get one tonight, but you got one on Saturday.
02:16Yeah. Clean sheets important?
02:17Yeah. Obviously, the most important thing is the win and the three points.
02:21That's what I've come here to do is get this club as many three points as we can.
02:26But on my own personal thing, I do want to keep clean sheets and build myself as a goalkeeper that people can rely on to keep a zero or a one instead of conceding two or three.
02:37So clean sheets are important, but the three points is the most important thing for me.
02:41Cool. And last but not least, you are my man of the match today. Congratulations.
