00:04Aston Villa have completed the signing of Emily Ramsey on a free transfer
00:09following the expiration of her contract at Everton.
00:14The 25-year-old arrives with valuable WSL experience
00:19after spending four years on Merseyside with Everton,
00:23originally joining the Toffees on loan in 2022 before making the move permanent.
00:30Ramsey also gained experience through loan spells at Sheffield United,
00:36West Ham United as well, and ultimately Birmingham City
00:39during her time with Manchester United.
00:44She made six appearances as well.
00:47Speaking after completing the move, Ramsey said she felt it was the right moment
00:53to take on a fresh challenge and join Aston Villa.
00:56She's looking forward to representing the Midlands club this season.
01:01She said it felt like the perfect time for a new challenge
01:05and added that she was excited to play at Villa Park on the right side of the team,
01:11getting to know the players and see what the club is about
01:15and what they can achieve together this season.
01:19Ramsey has represented England as well at youth level through the under-23s
01:26and earned a senior call-up in 2023 too.
