Noah Fant on Bengals loss to Packers, Joe Flacco's debut
Transcript
00:00What did you think of that touchdown to Jamar down the sideline?
00:02It was a great play.
00:03Great play to put us in range to try and make a play at the end of the game to win the game.
00:11Yeah, it would have been even better if we would have won.
00:14Zach says that after a game like this, he still knows, he doesn't have to tell you guys that this locker room still has confidence.
00:21Where is this locker room's kind of mentality right now?
00:24I think everybody just wants to win.
00:25I think that's the biggest thing.
00:27But we aren't in the game to lose.
00:31We aren't in the league to lose.
00:32So that's our biggest focus.
00:34And I think if it's not, then we have problems.
00:37But I don't think that's the case at all.
00:38No moral victories, obviously.
00:40But that first drive of the third quarter, how important do you think that could be going forward?
00:45Yeah, I mean, 21 play drive and you go down and score, I think that's great.
00:49I think that's something that we can definitely build off of and go forward from there.
00:55Was there a physicality about that drive that kind of stood out to you?
00:58It seemed like you were not only able to throw the ball, but also run and push people off.
01:04I'm not sure.
01:04I haven't been able to watch it yet.
01:06But obviously something was going right for us to be able to have that many plays and drive down the field.
01:10So against a really good defense also.
01:13So they're a good defense.
01:16So, yeah.
01:18How much of the first four drives do you feel like is just getting used to a new quarterback type of stuff that you guys had to kind of work out some of those games and find that comfortable?
01:25Yeah, there's definitely a factor of that there for sure.
01:28Different cadence, all those things.
01:31Different in and out of the huddle, things like that.
01:33But once the ball snapped, I mean, you're playing football.
01:38And I think JoJo did a great job of, like, obviously he got here on what, Monday, Tuesday?
01:44Tuesday.
01:45And he did a great job of having everybody where they needed to be at, two-minute drive, all that stuff.
01:51And it just kind of worked seamlessly.
01:52So there's a little bit of, like, kinks along the way.
01:56But I don't think nearly big enough to be an issue for why we didn't win.
02:04You know what I'm saying?
02:04Picking up some, getting some rhythm on offense, how much could that potentially carry into Thursday?
02:09It's a short week.
02:10You had the change with Jo on Tuesday.
02:12Yeah.
02:12And four days from now you're playing the Steelers.
02:14Yeah, I think it could definitely carry over for sure.
02:16I think the biggest thing is, like, every game is, like, kind of, like, you can obviously carry momentum over to the next game.
02:25But, like, every game is kind of in a vacuum.
02:26So we have to, like, do that again next game.
02:29You know what I'm saying?
02:29To start in starting early.
02:31We can't rely on, like, hey, like, we had it going at the end of the second half.
02:36It's just going to roll seamlessly.
02:37We're going to have to go ahead and take it this next game and get on a roll and do that early on so that we can put a complete game together as a team.
02:44So it definitely gives momentum, but at the same time it's, like, you have to, like, reestablish it every game.
