Joe Flacco's Future With Bengals and Free Agent Contract Projection
Transcript
00:00The one that I certainly hope is in Cincinnati is Joe Flacco projected to get one year, six and a
00:04half, $6.25 million. Look, I would sign him to this right now. It's about opportunity for him. He wants
00:11to see what's out there. Obviously, Minnesota is really intriguing and could be an option for him. Could the Indianapolis
00:17Colts go after him again?
00:19Could the Steelers, could the Ravens in a backup role? There's just so many different ways to look at it.
00:27And people would balk, oh, well, the Ravens, but why would he do that? I'm not saying he would. I'm
00:31just throwing it out there. Could the Giants do that? Well, why would you go to the Giants? Well, you
00:37reunite with Harbaugh and it's the same opportunity you have in Cincinnati, which is to be a backup.
00:41Yeah. And that's why I threw out the Ravens and the Giants. It's not just some of these teams that
00:46you could potentially start for for half the year or maybe the whole year or be a bridge guy. The
00:53Raiders, for example, right? Be a mentor. It's the other side of it. And the other side of it is,
00:59all right, well, if you're going to be a backup, what's the best location? What's the best place? Maybe it
01:06is in New York with the Giants and getting close to family.
01:10Maybe it is that route. Maybe it's going to Philly where he had a stint there. It's funny how much
01:14he's bounced around the league. Maybe you want to go to that warm weather and Miami's interested, right? And they
01:20cut to her. They trade to her. And now Joe Flacco's starting for the Miami Dolphins in his swan song.
01:26It's going to be tough from a Joe Flacco standpoint to get that deal done. We'll see. But I think
01:31it's all about opportunity and not necessarily money with him.
