Zac Taylor on Bengals' Loss to Ravens, Being Eliminated From Playoffs
Transcript
00:00Frustrating, you know, it really starts with our offense getting shut out.
00:04That's not who we are, that's unacceptable.
00:07Never saw that coming, you know, I think we had five trips, you know, to their side of the field and came away with no points.
00:13And just, again, as a play caller, that starts with me.
00:17When you walk away with no points, there's a huge amount of accountability that I've got to take for that.
00:22But it was just an overall very frustrating day.
00:25I think we did some things that were very unorthodox on offense for us, you know,
00:29just penalties, silly penalties that were controllable on our end, you know,
00:35and some possessions where we had opportunities at points and didn't walk away with anything.
00:38It was frustrating.
00:39What are your thoughts on the team's effort?
00:42Well, I thought defensively.
00:44I saw some really good things.
00:45I mean, they pressured him.
00:47He didn't have a lot of time in the pocket with three or four sacks, got a turnover,
00:51had an opportunity at another one, I know.
00:54They got us on a zero beater, you know, where it was something we'd practiced,
00:57we were ready for it, and they still got us for a touchdown.
01:00So there was some helping three points in the second half, you know,
01:03if my memory surfaced correctly.
01:07So there was some effort, you know.
01:10I didn't see a lack of effort.
01:12I just saw a lack of attention to detail maybe on offense that really showed up that was disappointing.
01:17What do you think was a reason for so many drops today, and how big were those drops?
01:21Yeah.
01:21But it was everything, you know.
01:23It wasn't just drops.
01:24It was, I think, everybody involved in the offense has got to own up to that performance today.
