00:00So The Origin of Colour takes its inspiration from a short story by the Italian author Italo
00:17Calvino. The short story is called Without Colours and it tells of the creation of colour on earth.
00:25So in the beginning everything already exists in the universe but it just hasn't been given colour yet.
00:32So everything that does exist exists in greyscale until suddenly a meteor shoots across the sky and then illuminates the world in colour for the very first time.
00:42So this piece is trying to capture what that moment in the story is all about whilst also kind of simultaneously trying to capture the wonderment of the characters as they experience things like
00:54sunsets and fireworks and the oceans of the world for the very first time.
