00:00The New England Patriots, six games into the 2025 season,
00:03matched their win total for both the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
00:08And you're right to point out, the same way that I point out,
00:12the Pats turned the ball over six times against Pittsburgh,
00:14even though the stat sheet only says five because they turned it over on downs once.
00:18You're correct to point out, Andy, that in 2024, yes, it says they won four games.
00:23They really only won three.
00:25I mean, because they shouldn't have won that final game.
00:27And any competent coach or anybody within their wits would have found a way
00:31to out terrible Buffalo in a game that would have secured you the first overall draft pick.
00:35Be that as it may, as they like to say in the industry,
00:38the fact that the Patriots are four and two, let's calibrate like, you know,
00:43they probably should have come out of September three and one.
00:45Everybody expected them to lose to Buffalo and the hopes were that they would beat New Orleans.
00:49So for anybody that has this team at around near 500 or into double digit wins territory,
00:56I know there's 11 games to go and I don't want to start, you know,
01:00planning duck boat parades or clearing out playoff paths and weekend schedules in January.
01:05Right now, the Pats are actually on a very impressive track,
01:09holding on for the win today and more importantly,
01:12developing the kind of confidence you need to stack dubs in the league.
01:16It's a win on the road and it's a win when expectations were heightened significantly
01:21following the huge upset last Sunday night in Buffalo.
01:24Yeah, I'm acknowledging the path.
01:27There's a path to the postseason for this team.
01:29I know it's only October.
01:30Are we recording this, Zach?
01:31I just want to make sure.
01:32Is this for posterity?
01:33We have this?
01:34We do have this, yes.
01:35Okay, we have this.
01:36Okay.
01:36I can only be honest.
01:37I've gotten very annoyed in past Novembers
01:40when people were talking about paths for a football team
01:43that I thought had no shot of getting to or competing in the postseason.
01:47This is a team that has a shot.
01:49They should get better.
01:51As, you know, Mike Frabel had a snarky answer to Dan Roach's question,
01:54like, how big is it for a young football team to go on the road down here
01:58and win this leave with a win?
02:00And he's like, well, it's better than an old football team leaving with a loss.
02:04Like, this is a young football team that just got a nice win.
02:06That was kind of a great answer.
02:07I got to be honest.
02:08It was.
