00:00:00Team that wins the block this year is obviously going to build a magnificent home but they're
00:00:06going to have the best garden. Gardens are so important. Landscape wins the block. 100% mate.
00:00:14We know the task at hand, this week's going to be busy. And it is the biggest week of them all.
00:00:19This property is massive. Just the scale of this week is ginormous. You could arguably fit
00:00:25three previous block backyards into one of these places. It's unrealistic to think that you could
00:00:31landscape a whole backyard in a week. It's landscape week. We've got lots to do. Big space. Big space
00:00:35means a lot of things that need to be done which means a lot of money. I keep just saying any money
00:00:39you win is going to go into your landscape. Has anyone gone through the block and not won a room?
00:00:45Yep. We have not had a win yet. Thank you for pointing that out. We are going out with a bang.
00:00:51Even though some put plans in motion weeks ago, building a winning Dalesford backyard hasn't been
00:00:58a bed of roses. This is meant to be a fun week. There's been compliance issues. The fireplace is
00:01:03not compliant. Concrete slab between the pool and the deck was too steep. This may have to be ripped
00:01:10up. This slab cost me 20 grand. Budget strains. Hold off until we work out how much we KFC for.
00:01:18Redone it. We're going to make the most idyllic, beautiful Japanese Zen garden. A lot of time and money.
00:01:24Neither of those we have. I'm not doing what everyone else is doing. I will do what I want to do.
00:01:30And it wouldn't be backyard week without a gift from the gods. And now it's officially landscaping week.
00:01:35Tonight. Step right up. Step right up. The greatest show on earth. It's the final push to backyard reveals.
00:01:42And there's no time for clowning around. Do you reckon we're going to get it done?
00:01:47Fine. Done. A lot to do. A lot to do? Yeah. Go next door. That's a lot to do.
00:01:54But how will it all end? Joining the Ringmasters tonight is special guest and landscape guru Dave
00:02:02Franklin. You're going to have a fantastic garden here and it's going to be hard to beat.
00:02:05But not everyone is on the bandwagon. Don't really like what I'm looking at. What is the
00:02:12purpose of that? I think this is a massive, massive error. It could be the only thing that
00:02:18turns a buyer off. And big secrets are revealed. That's not all. Oh my gosh. Massive. Absolutely
00:02:27massive. Lied to our faces. Boy, you're going down in the last week, I tell you.
00:02:36Wow. Dead. Too much to do, I suppose.
00:02:55It's the biggest week of them all. It's landscaping week. Yep, you heard it right. This week is
00:03:05the biggest week of them all. Because with each backyard measuring over a thousand square
00:03:10metres, it's literally the biggest area our blockheads have had to finish this season.
00:03:15Essentially from the back doors of the rumpus. Rumpus in the back bedroom. Back. So that includes
00:03:21this pool area. Cold plunge and hot plunge. Paving around it. Pool cabana. What's it called?
00:03:27Well, we're not sure if it's a cabana or a cabana. Cabana. Cabana. It's definitely cabana. Cabana.
00:03:39In Adelaide, a cabana is a meat stick.
00:03:41And for those who know Matt. No. Everyone's got a big sausage in their backyard.
00:03:52Oh, we just call it a pool house. Straight to the pool house start. Yep. Pool room.
00:03:56It's very us, isn't it? Pool house. And you can bet your bottom dollar, our teams have a long
00:04:01list of features going in their backyards to help stand out from the rest and win ten grand
00:04:07for their front yard next week. Look at that. Matt and I believe landscaping week is probably
00:04:17one of the most important weeks. And if you win landscaping week, you've got a really good
00:04:21crack at taking over the competition. 24 hours to go. We will be using every single minute
00:04:29of those 24 hours. We've never done a pool cabana. We've never built a cellar. We've never
00:04:35landscaped to this scale. Hardest week by country mile. Predominantly because of the big setback
00:04:41we had when we had to pull up the concrete slab. Ah yes, that was a massive concrete slab
00:04:47that joined the feature deck stairs to the pool area. 10mm over 100mm. It's like five times
00:04:53the limit. Like, it's steep. This may have to be ripped up.
00:05:00Yeah, the concrete skate ramp that had to be deleted really lost us about two days.
00:05:04Oh, probably more because by the time that we had to, like, put the new retaining wall
00:05:08in, that only happened yesterday.
00:05:10I put this retaining wall in and Colin goes, get rid of this retaining wall and I want to
00:05:15put grass. It comes over and then down like that.
00:05:17He's not joking. Are you not joking? No.
00:05:19And I was like, are you serious? Like, we've just spent four days putting this in.
00:05:25I know there's a lot of work but it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
00:05:30I didn't know what to do. So I was like, oh, we'll wait till Em comes back and she can
00:05:34decide.
00:05:34Holy doly! We're trying to work out the ugliest retaining wall I've ever seen you guys build.
00:05:40What's the game plan? Just shovel dirt? We don't have one. We're going to make that
00:05:44flat for you. Yep. And then you're going to have some stairs there. Yep. And I want to
00:05:48put grass that comes over. Yep. It looks epic. Let me go find a space. And you just said,
00:05:53yeah, go for it. I don't really get it. Colin's the designer and he knows what's going to look
00:05:58good. So we had dirt, then we had concrete and now we have dirt again. Now the dirt is
00:06:03going over the retaining wall. So we're going to have the grass roll over it. Still serving
00:06:06its purpose. It's still retaining everything. But we've just got a thin layer of soil over
00:06:11the top, which the grass will roll over. So that's the retaining wall finally sorted.
00:06:17Now how about those other pressure points? The cellar is so far off. And pool cabana,
00:06:24the shell's there. Unfinished. It's got a sauna in there, it's got tiles,
00:06:28um, and that's it. They're pretty screwed. I think just the stress of trying to put a
00:06:34cellar in as well is really tricky. And we obviously want to try and do a really great
00:06:39job like the boys did. So we're comparing ourselves to them, which is hard when they get three
00:06:44tiles. At the block's hardest working tilers, the Curcio's, have agreed to tile the cellar
00:06:49floor. Yeah, the Curcio brothers have come to save us. Save the day.
00:06:59This week, with Sonny and Alicia's permission. Are you painting the rocks on? Fantastic. No,
00:07:03you're going to be gluing the rocks on. Curcio times three have been spreading the love across
00:07:10the block, working in four of the five houses. Are you ready for the circus? Are you ready?
00:07:16They're ready to go now. Wine cellar needed sanding this morning. So
00:07:20Plaster did that quickly. And then the Curcio brothers came and helped out with some tiling.
00:07:25Start at that end and work our way now. House one can take out this week, but they've got to finish
00:07:31their cellar. And that's the big issue we've got at the moment. Everything outside that wine cellar
00:07:35is looking amazing. They've got the gnome. I'm going, who's this hairy dune on it? I'm like,
00:07:41She's a secret gnome. They need that wine cellar finished.
00:07:48Next door in house two, Han and Kan are also getting a helping hand from Han's dad Lee.
00:07:54I'll clean these and we'll just grout it. Yeah.
00:07:56They're going for a Japanese style garden designed by their landscaper Christian. But with little money
00:08:02in the budget and less manpower, it's anything but Zen.
00:08:06There's a lot to do still, probably furthest behind. We need the pool fence to go in.
00:08:11We need to clean the pool, fill the pool. Obviously the rain yesterday didn't help.
00:08:15Tiling the cabana, trying to clean the cabana, grout the cabana, paint the cabana.
00:08:21I've got to go pick up furniture. There's boxes all through the driveway. It's a lot to do.
00:08:27I've really a lot to do. Do you need a hand with your tiling?
00:08:31Han should be helping you. Who?
00:08:33She's painting inside. We need help out here.
00:08:35We'll be right, Dan. You sure? Yep.
00:08:37I've heard that before. Okay.
00:08:41Oh, look, this is just poor time management right now. This is what this is.
00:08:44I can't see them finishing today. I really can't. Priorities are not where they should be.
00:08:49We're focusing off too much in there. We're just going to paint it or leave it and just come out here and get out here looking good.
00:08:55There's no point in having a pool cabana if we can't get water in the pool.
00:09:09Pressure washer.
00:09:10Well, just, yeah, it's always a good sign when the pressure washer comes out, isn't it?
00:09:13It means we're nearing the end. Feeling good.
00:09:16We've managed our trades well and we're in a really good spot.
00:09:19Obviously, we have all this land, but we're so lucky because we have this huge seven and a half ton fireplace and then an 18 by eight pickleball court.
00:09:28So that takes up a lot of real estate in our backyard. So winning that was a great thing.
00:09:33Now that it's all come to life, like, it's pretty emotional looking at it.
00:09:37I can't be happier to be honest. I wouldn't change a thing.
00:09:39Well done, lads.
00:09:40There's the hand in the house.
00:09:41Thank you. She's getting there.
00:09:42What's that?
00:09:43Who's that?
00:09:44The hell?
00:09:45Oh, it's my husband.
00:09:46Wowee.
00:09:47The plumber.
00:09:48Hello, hello.
00:09:49How are you?
00:09:50That shower head is all good to go and pick up from Howard Street Rees.
00:09:54All right.
00:09:55Thanks, mate.
00:09:56Appreciate it.
00:09:57I told you.
00:09:59He pretty just asked me to be his boyfriend, so I'm like, whatever.
00:10:02Like, stop calling me all the time.
00:10:06Sonny and Alicia are yet to win a room, and with only two more chances up for grabs, they could make block history and be the first ever couple to go home without a win.
00:10:16We're on the podium.
00:10:17We're either second or third, and just can't seem to get that win.
00:10:20This week, they're going all out with a family-friendly backyard, and they're the only ones with a fully self-contained pool cabana.
00:10:27Are we going to finish?
00:10:28Yes, we are.
00:10:29100% going to finish.
00:10:30We always finish.
00:10:31We're not going to let it down on the 11th week.
00:10:33We're in a good spot today.
00:10:34The boys went hard yesterday.
00:10:35They planted every single one of these trees yesterday, and so to do that meant that they could pretty much turf today.
00:10:42How do you feel about the space?
00:10:43Do you think you're in the running?
00:10:45Oh, listen.
00:10:46We could be in.
00:10:47We could be out.
00:10:48We could be in with three 10s and someone will get three 11s, so we'll come second again.
00:10:54Stone and Lisa, Stone and Lisa.
00:10:59Stone and Lisa, it's a work of art.
00:11:02Don't you know the room wasn't built in a day?
00:11:06I think for us, we've put such a high importance on landscaping.
00:11:11From day one, we said kitchen and backyard landscaping is our number one priority.
00:11:16And it's safe to say that after weeks of planning, Britain Towers are throwing everything they've got at securing a win this week.
00:11:23There was nothing else we could do.
00:11:25Because we asked, we said, what else should we do?
00:11:27How do we elevate this?
00:11:28And Troy's gone, we cannot.
00:11:30Like, we've got a creek running through the backyard.
00:11:32We've got all the amenities you need.
00:11:34You've got your spa, saunas, ice baths, fruit orchard.
00:11:38Greenhouse, chicken coop.
00:11:39A massive fireplace, all stone cladded.
00:11:41It's a statement piece of our backyard.
00:11:43It's the hero.
00:11:44We wanted, there is just the one case of the flu.
00:11:48Ah yes, that issue with the fireplace flu.
00:11:51You've got to be 300mm above the roof line.
00:11:54We can't build the chimney out of bricks that high.
00:11:57It's just not going to be structurally stable.
00:11:59Not 100%.
00:12:00So the question is, do we get a flu made up?
00:12:02More about the flu later.
00:12:04This morning, Taz's mind is elsewhere.
00:12:07You're all very quiet today.
00:12:09Yeah, my brother's getting married today.
00:12:11So.
00:12:12You know when you come on the show, these are like one of the many sacrifices that you make.
00:12:19So this was, this was one of them.
00:12:22You know, you go three months without your kids, you miss birthdays, weddings, funerals,
00:12:30all of it for this.
00:12:32Um, you can walk away with nothing.
00:12:36We're very family first people, Brit and I, so it's a little bit flattening, but this
00:12:41is the biggest day for us on the block.
00:12:43This Saturday is our everything, so.
00:12:45Hey!
00:12:46Hey!
00:12:47Hey!
00:12:48Hey mate, how are ya?
00:12:49Smallow!
00:12:50Good.
00:12:51Looking good mate.
00:12:52Looking very smart.
00:12:53Looking really good.
00:12:54Hey!
00:12:55Dad, how are ya?
00:12:56Yeah, we dressed up for the occasion.
00:12:57Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:12:58Real sharp man, real sharp.
00:12:59Sorry we can't be there today mate.
00:13:00You look, you look unreal.
00:13:01Um, I hope you have a real good day.
00:13:02We're very proud of ya.
00:13:03And yeah, I'm glad Carter and Mila can be there for us and, you know, watch you go down.
00:13:04No worries.
00:13:05Thanks very much.
00:13:06Thanks for the call.
00:13:07He gets it.
00:13:08He loves his show.
00:13:09He loves, you know, he's a landscaper.
00:13:11So, we're in landscape week, so it's only fitting I reckon.
00:13:14He would have, you know, we would have loved to have him down here.
00:13:16When you win I'll see you back in this wedding present, it would want to be good.
00:13:17I'd tell you that much.
00:13:18Well, you could, you could, you could, you could have a better place to go and get
00:13:21a good day.
00:13:22Yeah, I'd love to go out and get a good day.
00:13:23I'd love to go out and get a good day.
00:13:25And, you know, I'm sure you can't be there today mate.
00:13:27You look unreal.
00:13:28I hope you have a real good day.
00:13:29A wedding present would want to be good, I'd tell you that, mate.
00:13:32Well, you could have your wedding here again.
00:13:35Yes, beautiful.
00:13:37Yeah, it looks really good. You're doing really well.
00:13:39Thanks, mate. All right. Proud of you, mate. Take care, all right?
00:13:41Speak to you later.
00:13:42See you, Chris. Bye.
00:13:45I'm just so proud of him.
00:13:47You know, the family he's created and we just...
00:13:50we wish he could be a part of it because it's so important to us family,
00:13:53but, yeah, we know.
00:13:55We know how important it is to be here
00:13:57and I'm just glad our kids are there for us as well.
00:14:05Got me crying.
00:14:08You just, yeah, you wish you could be there, but...
00:14:11no, we're here for a reason.
00:14:13It's, yeah, it's hot.
00:14:27It's Saturday afternoon.
00:14:32And all our blockheads are busy racing to complete their backyards
00:14:36by 9am tomorrow morning.
00:14:38Ah.
00:14:42Well, most of them.
00:14:43This is a life.
00:14:53Today and today only, folks. Step right up. Step right up.
00:14:56The greatest show on earth.
00:14:58First.
00:15:03Yeah, the Curzios are here.
00:15:04The circus is in town.
00:15:07Bit stressed out that we hadn't ordered enough files.
00:15:10Yeah.
00:15:11It turns out we'd ordered one too many.
00:15:13Lucky we didn't make a mistake.
00:15:14Oh, no.
00:15:15Very lucky.
00:15:16We couldn't make any errors.
00:15:17Lucky we had the best boys in the biz on it.
00:15:19Yeah.
00:15:27Normally a Saturday comes around
00:15:28and we are styling by afternoon, night time.
00:15:31Not this week?
00:15:32No.
00:15:33No.
00:15:34It was dire.
00:15:35Benji's gonna plug along with the cellar
00:15:36and I'm gonna focus on the pork cabana.
00:15:39Think I'd given up on the cellar.
00:15:41Yeah.
00:15:42What do you reckon?
00:15:43Do you reckon we're gonna get it done?
00:15:44Define done.
00:15:49In House 3, the High Pages stonemasons,
00:15:51with the help of the Curzios,
00:15:53have performed a block miracle
00:15:55and have finished recladding Britt and Taz's
00:15:57Statement fireplace in record time.
00:15:59I believe in miracles.
00:16:01It looks amazing.
00:16:03And they're making good progress in their cabana.
00:16:05Wow.
00:16:06Getting there.
00:16:07Look at that.
00:16:08It's beautiful.
00:16:09It's commissioned for us by a local artist.
00:16:11Nice.
00:16:12We have a beautiful custom graphico
00:16:14from a local Jar Jar artist.
00:16:17So that's gonna be the hero of the room.
00:16:20We're also doing the home pro installation
00:16:22of curtains on the ceiling
00:16:23like we've done in the wellness room.
00:16:24Just to keep that flow,
00:16:25keep that continuity.
00:16:26This is where you tie everything together, isn't it?
00:16:28Yeah.
00:16:29With your wellness area
00:16:30and that room that you wouldn't budge on.
00:16:32You have one living space
00:16:34and that's it.
00:16:35And it will impact them on the market.
00:16:39We love it.
00:16:40We love the room.
00:16:41We don't wanna change it.
00:16:42We don't wanna change it.
00:16:43We knew the vision of what that whole space is gonna be.
00:16:46The reformer room,
00:16:47the ice bath,
00:16:48the hot tub,
00:16:49the sauna.
00:16:50You've got other sitting areas.
00:16:51You're gonna have the pool cabana.
00:16:52I mean, for us,
00:16:53we're the wellness house
00:16:54so it's now starting to make sense.
00:16:56Why the long face?
00:16:58A lot to do.
00:16:59A lot to do?
00:17:00Yeah.
00:17:01Go next door.
00:17:02That's a lot to do.
00:17:03Who's there?
00:17:04That's a lot to do.
00:17:05You're in a really good spot.
00:17:08You're stressing about the floor.
00:17:11The chimney needs to be a certain height relevant to the distance to the house.
00:17:20As the chimney is very close to the house, it needs to be built up past the height of the roof for it to be compliant.
00:17:27But bricks that high are a structural issue.
00:17:30So Britt and Taz need to add a steel cylinder flue to reach regulation height.
00:17:35We've got to put a scap up.
00:17:37Put a scap up.
00:17:38And then put a flue in.
00:17:39And then put the scap down.
00:17:40That's tomorrow morning.
00:17:41That's tomorrow's job.
00:17:42The only installation time they have is 7am on Sunday.
00:17:45I'm pushing it.
00:17:47Oh, yeah.
00:17:48Just want to be in the race.
00:17:49You're in the race.
00:17:50Yeah.
00:17:51I can tell you right now.
00:17:52You're in it.
00:17:53Thanks, Dan.
00:18:00I've just wished,
00:18:01I've wished since the beginning.
00:18:03I've wished for a Saturday where we were just, like, polishing and priming and styling.
00:18:11Like, we were just a day ahead.
00:18:13Everything was done.
00:18:15I'm yet to have that day on the block.
00:18:19Pool 13 up.
00:18:20Pool tiles not complete.
00:18:22The cabanas not anywhere near complete.
00:18:25Tiles still need to be done.
00:18:27No paint on.
00:18:28Like, I'm just...
00:18:29No.
00:18:33How's your day going, Matt?
00:18:35Yeah.
00:18:36Well, it's been a lovely day, to be honest.
00:18:38Now I have a night making furniture.
00:18:41Hardcore landscaping is completely done, which is a huge plus.
00:18:45But there's still this other factor of making that landscaping look good by styling.
00:18:49How the **** does this even work?
00:18:52I was putting together flat pack furniture and house three's, um, landscaper came in through our back door.
00:18:59And he goes...
00:19:00Hey, mate.
00:19:01Hello.
00:19:02How you going?
00:19:03Good.
00:19:04Now, Paul knows I'm coming to have a look.
00:19:05Okay.
00:19:06I'd prefer if you didn't, though.
00:19:07Oh, it's okay.
00:19:08I'm mates with Paul, who's our landscaper.
00:19:10And I said, no, thank you.
00:19:12That is a snake move.
00:19:16Not having a...
00:19:17He can come through and have a look after judging.
00:19:20But Taz and Britt are our biggest competition.
00:19:23We had the fire going.
00:19:24We were doing all the styling.
00:19:25If he comes out there and goes, they've got their fire lit.
00:19:28They're going to be doing this.
00:19:29They've got this on their table.
00:19:31You know, they could see what we're doing.
00:19:33They could get an upper hand.
00:19:34So I said, sorry, mate.
00:19:36Back to house three.
00:19:37He's the boss.
00:19:38It's his house.
00:19:39You can see who's allowed in and who's allowed out.
00:19:41So I said, no worries.
00:19:42Turned around and came back.
00:19:44He wasn't thrilled with it.
00:19:45I could tell by the look on his face.
00:19:47But, you know, I'd rather...
00:19:49I'd rather win.
00:19:51Hmm.
00:19:52So then we found a trampoline.
00:19:53There's no one in there.
00:19:59Looks good.
00:20:01Yeah, it looks okay.
00:20:02You know what?
00:20:03He looked at our backyard.
00:20:04So let's go have a look at theirs.
00:20:06Lots of arbors.
00:20:07They look like matchsticks.
00:20:08After seeing that, we thought it's a perfect opportunity to play hide and seek.
00:20:13We wouldn't call it hide and seek.
00:20:15We call it peekaboo.
00:20:16What can you see, mate?
00:20:18A Japanese garden.
00:20:20A Japanese arbor.
00:20:22We'll just have a little look every time.
00:20:25I can see bricks.
00:20:27A brick thing.
00:20:28I can see a pool.
00:20:29And there's Ben.
00:20:31Hey, Ben.
00:20:32We didn't get to see too much, to be honest.
00:20:35Everyone's got a beautiful yard.
00:20:37We're going to be biased and say ours is the most beautiful and ours is the best.
00:20:42Yeah.
00:20:43She's bloody looking good.
00:20:44Afternoon delight.
00:20:45Sky rockets in flight.
00:20:46Afternoon delight.
00:20:47Afternoon delight.
00:20:48Afternoon delight.
00:20:49Afternoon delight.
00:20:50Afternoon delight.
00:20:51Afternoon delight.
00:20:52Afternoon delight.
00:20:53Afternoon delight.
00:20:55How are you feeling, mate?
00:20:57How are you feeling mate?
00:21:05Yeah, just feel like it's just slipping away a little bit actually.
00:21:09Yeah.
00:21:10What do you do?
00:21:11It's a beautiful garden.
00:21:13Absolutely.
00:21:14Yeah, it's a beautiful garden.
00:21:15We're proud of it, but we'll just give it our best shot.
00:21:22You might love the garden, but is it going to get done?
00:21:24Don't know.
00:21:25I don't know, never ending story of Will It Ever Get Done?
00:21:41I love a flat pack.
00:21:43Everyone knows lesbians love a flat pack.
00:21:48Read up on it.
00:21:49I didn't know about it, and I'm a lesbian, so I don't know how that works out.
00:21:53Oh.
00:21:54You mustn't be a real lesbian.
00:21:58Do you believe in block magic?
00:22:03Block magic?
00:22:04Yeah.
00:22:05It's a miracle.
00:22:06Inspiring because everyone was just keen to see it finished.
00:22:12What a team, huh?
00:22:13Oh, yeah.
00:22:14You guys have honestly saved us.
00:22:15That's what you knew.
00:22:16That's what you realised.
00:22:17Everyone had bought in.
00:22:18Everyone had bought into the dream of actually finishing this, and it required us both to
00:22:28believe it for everyone else to as well.
00:22:31Yeah.
00:22:32I reckon you've got a chance to get three tens.
00:22:35Pretty epic, isn't it?
00:22:36The only thing I think you're missing is some dry prosciutto up here.
00:22:39If you had some dry prosciutto, I reckon you'd get a ten.
00:22:42Any prosciutto shops open at this hour?
00:22:43I'm not sure, but if you don't get your hands on it, it definitely won't be a ten.
00:22:58Good morning, Leigh.
00:22:59Oh, good morning.
00:23:00Good morning, Leigh.
00:23:01Oh, good morning.
00:23:02Good morning.
00:23:03Think I might have pushed my luck and tried watching.
00:23:07Everything about us is what gets me through.
00:23:11Oh, look at it going.
00:23:13Phenomenal.
00:23:14We have to just get everything all sorted and pretty.
00:23:18And I like being sorted and pretty.
00:23:21It's all about selling the dream.
00:23:23We're trying to sell the dream, so we need to put the flute in the fireplace.
00:23:31We really want, really, really want to sell that fire.
00:23:34It's a beautiful backyard.
00:23:36We could, like, like, there's nothing we'd change about it.
00:23:38We're just going to do all the little extras now, cleaned, style,
00:23:41get that bloody flute on, and then we're laughing.
00:23:44Get the what on?
00:23:45The flute.
00:23:46The flute.
00:23:47Would you look at that.
00:23:53Considering what that wine cellar was only 12 hours ago,
00:23:59you just wouldn't think it's possible.
00:24:05Girl on a mission.
00:24:07Jeez.
00:24:085,000 steps this morning alone.
00:24:11Love it.
00:24:13Love it a million.
00:24:14I love this backyard.
00:24:16I actually, like, I love this backyard.
00:24:19You can imagine having a big party underneath there.
00:24:21Say whoever buys it, we're coming to Christmas.
00:24:24It's not a catwalk.
00:24:29Yeah, I think it's safe to say that we're going to win this week.
00:24:39I'm moving on.
00:24:40I'm moving on.
00:24:41Just raise me on my list.
00:24:43I'm moving on.
00:24:44Ooh.
00:24:45How are you, Christian?
00:24:46Me?
00:24:47Yeah.
00:24:48Pfft.
00:24:49Couldn't be better.
00:24:50H-hah.
00:24:51Here.
00:24:53One minute, Lee.
00:25:12Hallelujah.
00:25:14Dad, light the fire.
00:25:16Hello.
00:25:17Come on.
00:25:1920 seconds to go, quick.
00:25:21Fast.
00:25:21Fast.
00:25:2210 seconds.
00:25:25God.
00:25:28Tools down.
00:25:31Tools down.
00:25:32Well done.
00:25:36Yay.
00:25:38Yes, it is.
00:25:40That's the biggest make of our lives.
00:25:43Team hug.
00:25:43You guessed it.
00:25:44Well done, Jill.
00:25:46Well done, Dad.
00:25:47That's David.
00:25:48Oh, he's got it.
00:25:49Is it cold?
00:25:52Yes.
00:25:53Oh, it's freezing.
00:25:56Will we be seeing the secret gnome tonight?
00:26:01The secret gnome is going to be dropped tonight.
00:26:03Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.
00:26:11Good morning, everybody.
00:26:12Morning.
00:26:13Morning.
00:26:14Morning.
00:26:15Darren.
00:26:16Another beautiful morning in Dales.
00:26:18The perfect day for a room reveal.
00:26:21Now, I suppose you're wondering why I brought Darren here this morning.
00:26:23Well, I cannot drive two cars at the same time.
00:26:27And I'm also thinking that you're asking, what is this?
00:26:32Wow.
00:26:33Well, this is the brand new MGU-9.
00:26:37It's their very own ute.
00:26:39Hey.
00:26:40Hi.
00:26:40It is a 2.5-litre turbo devils.
00:26:43It's got 3.5-tonne towing capacity.
00:26:46It's their very first ute, and it's an absolute ripper.
00:26:50Oh, it's nice.
00:26:52Darren, of course, is driving the latest version of the Super Hybrid that you've been driving
00:26:57these past couple of weeks.
00:26:58And guess what?
00:26:59What?
00:27:01You could win both these cars next week.
00:27:04Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho.
00:27:05Oh, my goodness.
00:27:06That is correct.
00:27:08The winner of Front Yard and Front Facade Week will win both these cars.
00:27:13The ute going straight in your driveway to sell with your homes.
00:27:17And the Super Hybrid ready for you to jump in and drive all the way home to keep for yourselves.
00:27:23Two MGs.
00:27:24My gosh.
00:27:25Massive.
00:27:26Absolutely massive.
00:27:27Oh, my gosh.
00:27:28Do I want these cars?
00:27:31So your final week just got real.
00:27:36Wow.
00:27:36Absolutely.
00:27:36You did.
00:27:37Now, for you guys, it's tools down right now.
00:27:40But for these guys and the judges, it's tools up.
00:27:42All right.
00:27:43All right.
00:27:44Go on up again.
00:28:10Thank you. Hello. Hey Scottie. Thank you. Wow. Hello Scottie. Very spectacular. Everybody.
00:28:20Scottie. Oh mate. What about the lavender suit? You're welcome. Good evening everybody.
00:28:29Hello Scottie. Well that was epic wasn't it? You've got to love Backyard Week. Absolutely
00:28:36outstanding. Well done everybody. Round of applause.
00:28:40Let's head to some feedback and find out who's going to take home the last $10,000 from MG.
00:28:49M and Ben.
00:28:56Week 11 was probably our worst week on the block. Worst as in? Most challenging. Yeah. It was just really really hard. It was full on.
00:29:04We are the winner. We are the winner. We won a sauna. You won a sauna. I did **** poor.
00:29:13Boy we got a wine cellar.
00:29:20Just the scale of this week's room reveal is ginormous. The plan is we've got to do this whole backyard.
00:29:28Just doing an added little bonus room of a cellar. We've got a pretty incredible design that's been created by our landscape.
00:29:34I'm Em. Hi I'm Colin. Colin really wanted to incorporate the borrowed landscape. Just what was it? The rolling hills of Dalesford.
00:29:41Yeah. And the other thing will probably be the tree selection. We're replanting Dalesford.
00:29:46It looks like we're going to have to lose all this paving. What? The bit between the deck and the pool is too steep.
00:29:57So we have to get rid of all that concrete.
00:30:04Tuscan path pavers that we have here are probably going to suit the style that you're looking for.
00:30:08Kind of like how organic looking these ones are. I will take 50 please.
00:30:13The retaining walls taken a lot longer than we hoped. Put the posts in so that sleepers could go in the next day.
00:30:24Colin said to me. I really want to get rid of this retaining wall.
00:30:28Are you serious? Like we've just spent four days putting this in.
00:30:31I think if you'd asked us at the start of the week how this space is going to look.
00:30:36The answer would be completely different to how the space looks right now.
00:30:40It's all for the better. Like how this is all shaping up looks incredible.
00:30:45And I mean I'm so happy with it.
00:30:47Yeah I think the end outcome looks great.
00:30:50Cause you were amazing. We did amazing things.
00:31:00And I've been changing. Cause we were amazing things.
00:31:11Oh look at this magnificent.
00:31:19That's great.
00:31:21Well hang on. We now have Dave Franklin with us. The expert on the landscaping.
00:31:27You can tell us what the plants are and not Marty.
00:31:29Everything's a fire to silly eye.
00:31:34Dave Franklin told the others about your landscape designer.
00:31:38The artist Colin Hyatt.
00:31:40Yeah.
00:31:41He's not just a landscape designer. He's actually an artist okay.
00:31:45So when he's designing this here it's picking up the colours from the cedar trees which you see over to the left here.
00:31:50But where we're standing here is basically designed as an amphitheatre to look out at Daleswood.
00:31:56Oh but this is a grandstand for family memories and portraits and photos.
00:32:00And Shana I can imagine you standing on the deck and singing and.
00:32:04Stop me. Just stop me. I am about to.
00:32:07Don't love the undulating form of the landscape throughout.
00:32:14And the Tuscan path stepping stones.
00:32:17Obviously this is what Colin's done. So he's obviously mimicking the you know what Daleswood's about.
00:32:21And that's the rolling hills. And that's what you've seen in the landscape through here.
00:32:24Yes.
00:32:25Is that what he said to you?
00:32:26Yeah. That was the brief.
00:32:27Borrowed landscape was the term to use.
00:32:29Basically 80% is native here. Very sustainable as well.
00:32:33We've got some beautiful sheake pines up the back there.
00:32:35And they are already two and a half, three metres tall.
00:32:38I'm expecting at least another half a metre by the time it comes auction time.
00:32:41You know what, you're going to have a fantastic garden here and it's going to be hard to beat.
00:32:46Shana then spotted a fruit orchard.
00:32:48They headed over and they think the fire pit is well placed.
00:32:52How great is this for a little sitting spot to get the marshmallows out?
00:32:54Beautiful because you can see the pool, you can see the deck, you can see everything around here.
00:32:59I think this position is beautiful.
00:33:02Yeah.
00:33:03And it's great to have a citrus garden for sustainability, not to mention the ready availability of delicious fruit.
00:33:10Talking of sustainability, the runoff from the gutters runs into that Kingspan tank and then that feeds the irrigation.
00:33:17Boom.
00:33:18Done.
00:33:19Thinking of your domain listing, Marty thinks there's a great hero shot looking back at the house which takes in the pool and the cabana.
00:33:28That is the hero shot showing such a unique house on this season.
00:33:33I think this is going to be one of the hardest houses to beat in terms of how relative it is to the natural environment.
00:33:40This here just screams Daleswood because you can see it in the foreground.
00:33:46And around the pool, Dave Franklin thinks the brown Little Hampton Brick is a great choice.
00:33:51Works in perfectly with the mulch, works perfectly with the landscape, you know, so I think it's a winner.
00:33:56Into the cellar.
00:33:57Into the cellar.
00:33:58No way.
00:33:59Oh.
00:34:00Oh.
00:34:01Wow.
00:34:02Geez, isn't this strategic from Emma and Ben.
00:34:16They've got a full wine cellar.
00:34:18Darren thinks the PGH stone is stunning.
00:34:22It's that natural environment, colour palette, materials palette, relates to the outside, relates to the landscape, and it just feels really right for Daleswood.
00:34:32Well, this is their answer.
00:34:34We are in a real estate competition.
00:34:36This is adding value to the buyers.
00:34:38And after seeing house five cellar, this is the perfect chess move.
00:34:43Checkmate is what you're hoping for, I'll bet.
00:34:48Yeah.
00:34:50These guys are damn good players.
00:34:52They're back in the game.
00:34:55There are five great houses, two with very substantial wine cellars.
00:35:02And this one feels like you're at a cellar door.
00:35:07That is a million dollar view.
00:35:08I was going to say, this is blowing my mind.
00:35:11It's something that I should be designing my landscapes from now on.
00:35:14Oh.
00:35:15I think this is just a massive tick.
00:35:21Shona agrees.
00:35:22The whole space is beautifully presented.
00:35:25And it wasn't even close when she visited on Friday.
00:35:28Nah.
00:35:29Nowhere near.
00:35:30It was very far.
00:35:31Oh, yeah.
00:35:32Look what they've done and styled to perfection that they've even decanted the wine.
00:35:37And can I just say also, Emma is 18 weeks pregnant.
00:35:42Wow.
00:35:43It's incredible.
00:35:44It really is.
00:35:45Power to the women.
00:35:46Yes, mate.
00:35:47So good.
00:35:49Finally to the cabana, Darren noted the solar panels on the roof.
00:35:53The solar panels as the roof.
00:35:55Geez, that's smart.
00:35:56That is so great.
00:35:57That is genius.
00:35:58I love the form too.
00:35:59And the fact that that's printed.
00:36:00It's beautiful.
00:36:01Incredible.
00:36:02Inside they found some smart thinking.
00:36:05Geez, that's smart building in the steam saunas Australia.
00:36:09Yeah.
00:36:10You get access to the view.
00:36:12Yeah.
00:36:13Wow, that's amazing.
00:36:14Who would have thought?
00:36:15Wow.
00:36:16Ben and Emma were going to put a couch in here.
00:36:18And we were saying, you're coming from the sauna, the pool, just a bench.
00:36:22Smart.
00:36:23And I thought this was tiles and that's just not stuck down wallpaper.
00:36:27Yeah.
00:36:28Karen thinks the basin is heaven.
00:36:32Shona added, the whole space is heaven.
00:36:37I love that.
00:36:38I just love how luxury it feels.
00:36:40And there's so many layers of luxury here.
00:36:44That is what will capture the buyers.
00:36:46And when they see this online, this will jump through the screen.
00:36:49This is prime location.
00:36:52It's easy to live in.
00:36:54It's easy to entertain in.
00:36:56It's easy on the eye because it's so beautiful.
00:36:58Why would you ever leave?
00:36:59It's lifestyle.
00:37:00It was incredible.
00:37:01Okay, we need to leave because we've got four more of these.
00:37:03I've got to say.
00:37:04Wow.
00:37:05What a start.
00:37:06Well done, Emma.
00:37:07Ben.
00:37:08Well done.
00:37:09Hi.
00:37:11That's great.
00:37:21It's time for you to decide which contestants you think have created this
00:37:24week's winning outdoor space.
00:37:26Yep.
00:37:27Just head to the Block website now to cast your vote.
00:37:29And don't miss the results a little later in the show.
00:37:33Okay, house two.
00:37:34Han and Kang.
00:37:35Mmm.
00:37:36This week was just joyous.
00:37:38Joy, flow, zen.
00:37:39You are so full of .
00:37:40Before we even came to the Block, we decided we were going to do a Japanese-inspired garden
00:37:46with Christian Jenkins.
00:37:47Keep calm and drink tea.
00:37:48He's an absolute legend at doing pretty Japanese Zen gardens.
00:37:53The rocks are pretty cool.
00:37:55You know how I got those rocks delivered next door?
00:37:56Yeah.
00:37:57And I still had a few to get around here.
00:37:58Yeah.
00:37:59He still had like four or five.
00:38:00He used them in the garden.
00:38:01Our point of difference to the landscape is these rocks.
00:38:02Okay.
00:38:03Okay.
00:38:04Okay.
00:38:05Okay.
00:38:06Okay.
00:38:07Okay.
00:38:08Okay.
00:38:09Let's go.
00:38:10Okay.
00:38:11Let's go.
00:38:12Let's go.
00:38:13Let's go.
00:38:14Let's go.
00:38:15Let's go.
00:38:16Let's go.
00:38:17Let's go.
00:38:18Let's go.
00:38:19Let's go.
00:38:20Let's go.
00:38:21Let's go.
00:38:22Let's go.
00:38:23Let's go.
00:38:24Let's go.
00:38:25Let's go.
00:38:26We're going to put them in the garden.
00:38:27Our point of difference to the landscape is these rocks.
00:38:28Okay.
00:38:29And now they're in your landscape.
00:38:30The thing is we were lovely enough to be able to store your rocks for you guys.
00:38:34The deal was we would have the rocks there until the end of that day.
00:38:35Yeah.
00:38:36That's right.
00:38:37And they're actually still there.
00:38:38So I think if anything we've been doing you guys a favour.
00:38:39We disagree to disagree and we get on with it.
00:38:42We spent our full $15,000 in Freedom furniture.
00:38:48And then in our pool cabana, I want to do, like, a curved lounge.
00:38:52See, I love this side table, too, so we need some, like, sun lounges.
00:38:56How many of those can we order?
00:38:58One, two, three, four, five.
00:39:04We're on a tight budget here.
00:39:05They're not cashed up.
00:39:07You know, we're competing in this landscape week
00:39:10in a kind of handicap race.
00:39:15So Dad and I were both rendering inside the cabana,
00:39:18that's you, Dad.
00:39:19Yeah.
00:39:19We didn't want the ripple effect inside.
00:39:22I like it.
00:39:26How are you feeling about the backyard?
00:39:28Yeah, like, anxious.
00:39:29We need to get the pool fencing in,
00:39:31but we need these outer tiles down ASAP.
00:39:34Pan.
00:39:36Hasn't dried at all.
00:39:38The pool fencing guy's standing around,
00:39:41scratching his head going,
00:39:42they're not going to be ready.
00:39:45People on the other side.
00:39:46Beautiful.
00:39:46The amazing Tori gates went up this morning.
00:39:49Look at that.
00:39:50Tori gates are used in Japan
00:39:52as an entry to a sacred place
00:39:55or a spiritual place.
00:39:56And they look absolutely stunning.
00:39:58I'm super proud of the fireplace
00:40:01that our High Pages Liverpool got us.
00:40:04It looks spectacular.
00:40:06Freaking amazing.
00:40:07We'd just love to have another week
00:40:14to, like, really finesse it,
00:40:16add some elements,
00:40:17like, go the full gung-ho on it.
00:40:20But it is what it is.
00:40:21Tools down.
00:40:22We're about to get judged for it,
00:40:24so let's see what the judges say.
00:40:30God, I love a Japanese maple.
00:40:31Yeah, I like a Japanese maple,
00:40:33but I don't really like what I'm looking at.
00:40:38Oh, what, that quickly?
00:40:39Yeah, that quickly.
00:40:40From what we've just come from,
00:40:42I'm sorry, but I just...
00:40:44He said this has a harsher feeling.
00:40:48It has a lot of rock.
00:40:50It's got a lot of pavers.
00:40:51This is really hard for kids to run around.
00:40:53They can trip.
00:40:54They can hit themselves.
00:40:56So it just has that harsher feel,
00:40:58and the buyers will feel that
00:40:59walking out onto this.
00:41:03Well, I do have to say,
00:41:04so this is a landscaper that I do know as well.
00:41:07He's Christian Jenkins.
00:41:08He's always got a bit of a Japanese inspiration with him.
00:41:11I get what you say is harsh,
00:41:13but you're looking at all the creepers through here,
00:41:14which is Dichondra, OK?
00:41:16So this will grow out before the auction.
00:41:19I did actually see Christian this morning,
00:41:21so maybe just a little bit undercooked
00:41:23with some of the finishes.
00:41:24That's why you can see that there's no water in the pool.
00:41:26And the guys from Protect to Trade
00:41:28were still doing the pool fencing at 8 a.m.
00:41:32You guys really did come down to the wire, didn't you?
00:41:34We did.
00:41:35Yeah, we cut it fine this week, for sure.
00:41:38I really like the stone.
00:41:40I love how organic and natural edge it is.
00:41:44And in the long term,
00:41:45that Dichondra, once it grows all through,
00:41:48and it will cover every single bit
00:41:50between all of this light grout in time,
00:41:53that's going to be really, really elegant.
00:41:55I think it's great.
00:41:57I do hear what you're saying about kids
00:42:00and running around and grass,
00:42:02but it's over there.
00:42:06Lots of lawn for kids to play.
00:42:09Shona agrees.
00:42:10She also really liked the use of boulders throughout.
00:42:13I love the boulders, the use of boulders,
00:42:16and all the plants that are around it.
00:42:18There'll be a lot of softness,
00:42:20and it becomes very ornamental.
00:42:23And a lot of people do gravitate to that.
00:42:25Marty agreed on this.
00:42:27The boulders are a hero.
00:42:29And the outdoor fireplace,
00:42:31Dave said,
00:42:31that is so cool.
00:42:33I've got to say,
00:42:34I have not seen an outdoor fireplace
00:42:36that not is only circular,
00:42:37but you've got your circular seating around it as well.
00:42:40This is a really good selling feature,
00:42:42and it can have nailed this from a real estate perspective,
00:42:45because buyers will, just like us right now,
00:42:48naturally will just congregate here.
00:42:49This is such a great place to just sit,
00:42:52look back at the property,
00:42:53enjoy the sun.
00:42:54Yeah.
00:42:55It feels so intimate too.
00:42:57As Shona pointed out,
00:42:58the modular walls are providing
00:43:00not only visual privacy,
00:43:02but acoustic privacy as well.
00:43:05What are the plants against the modular wall there?
00:43:07It's a lily-pilly, that's water, how's it?
00:43:09They'll be a big hedge,
00:43:10you can see it all the way around here,
00:43:11so they are fast growing as well.
00:43:13Will they get to like three, four metres in height?
00:43:15100%.
00:43:15Amazing, 100%.
00:43:16Yeah.
00:43:16And I think that will then take away
00:43:18a lot of that harshness that I've felt walking out.
00:43:22Marty also thought the deck around the pool
00:43:24is very appealing.
00:43:25I mean, it definitely has that more rustic feel, doesn't it?
00:43:29Well, OK, I absolutely love the deck,
00:43:33and I love the rawness of the edge.
00:43:35I just wish they didn't put these feature tiles in here.
00:43:39Yeah, if that was just plain...
00:43:41Yeah.
00:43:42..this is the hero.
00:43:43Yes.
00:43:44This is beautiful.
00:43:46That fourth material is a little bit too much.
00:43:49Well, it looks like the checkerboard in the garage.
00:43:51It does.
00:43:52It's not needed.
00:43:52Yeah.
00:43:54Marty thought you had great furniture around the pool.
00:43:58Was that all from Freedom, girls?
00:43:59It was.
00:43:59It was a big Freedom advert this week.
00:44:01One thing that we haven't noticed
00:44:03are these arbors over here, OK?
00:44:05So that's where that Japanese influence comes from.
00:44:08So there is a story about these arbors here.
00:44:11So obviously, Scotty's got a sawmill.
00:44:13He milled up the timber and brought it to Christian,
00:44:15and Christian built it right on site.
00:44:17Oh, it's beautiful.
00:44:18It's stunning.
00:44:20Into the cabana,
00:44:21and Marty was perplexed with the layout internally.
00:44:24There's a couch on one side
00:44:25that doesn't really look at anything,
00:44:27including the TV.
00:44:28Why have a TV in here
00:44:34that can't really be utilised from the pool
00:44:37because of the way that the doors are
00:44:39doesn't fit what this is meant to be used for?
00:44:41Like, this just is the wrong application.
00:44:44I think this is a massive, massive error.
00:44:47Yeah.
00:44:47I mean, the girls would have been better off
00:44:49just painting the contour of what was already there.
00:44:52Put a couple of yoga mats
00:44:53if they had no money or time.
00:44:54Yeah, that would have been a bit...
00:44:54Just a couple of yoga mats
00:44:55and a couple of towels on hooks.
00:44:57That's all they needed.
00:44:57It would have been better.
00:44:59Marty really wanted to walk under one of the harbours.
00:45:03When the judges got there,
00:45:04they all decided
00:45:05this was their favourite part of the garden.
00:45:09This is beautiful.
00:45:10This is tranquil.
00:45:11It's gorgeous.
00:45:12And you can imagine all the kids running around.
00:45:15Running around here.
00:45:16I was just going to say that.
00:45:17How beautiful is this?
00:45:17So, you can picture the kids running around here.
00:45:20Race you to the next house.
00:45:21Mixed feedback there, girls,
00:45:26but plenty of positives today
00:45:28from all of the judges.
00:45:29That is it.
00:45:31You're welcome.
00:45:33You're welcome.
00:45:33OK, three, Britt and Taz.
00:45:44Mm-hmm.
00:45:45Deep breath.
00:45:46This week was what?
00:45:51A seafood sandwich from the survey.
00:45:56What?
00:45:56Because you'll have a crack at it,
00:45:58but you do not know how it's going to end.
00:46:01Landscaping will probably win you the block this year.
00:46:03How you doing?
00:46:04Good, thanks to yourself.
00:46:05Nice to meet you.
00:46:05We secured Troy Lovett.
00:46:08Lovett landscaping.
00:46:12The plan is to have beautiful timber arbours
00:46:15from trees that have fallen down in the area.
00:46:17Now we've got the timber.
00:46:19It's about cutting it up.
00:46:20I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK.
00:46:23I'll sleep all night and I'll work all day.
00:46:25Sorry, sorry.
00:46:25I'm not.
00:46:25My God, it just felt like out of a movie.
00:46:28Yeah, it was a bit romantic, actually.
00:46:29Me and Scotty Camden, wasn't it?
00:46:32So, we started landscaping three weeks ago.
00:46:34All the levels have been done.
00:46:36All the concrete that we needed to be poured is poured.
00:46:39It's going really well.
00:46:40We're in a really, really good spot.
00:46:42Best week of the block here.
00:46:43Landscape wins the block.
00:46:44A hundred percent.
00:46:45So, how we're trying to set ourselves apart
00:46:47is being very on brief with Dale's Fits.
00:46:49It's all about natural beauty, sustainability, wellness.
00:46:56A beacon lighting consult.
00:46:57That's how it's going.
00:46:59We also need to look at where you want garden lighting
00:47:02so we make sure they've got power points in it ready for it.
00:47:05Basically lights everywhere.
00:47:07A lot of drawings.
00:47:08Hopefully it all comes together well.
00:47:11Troy over here is that I've found a fruit orchard
00:47:13in the backyard of this girl's house
00:47:15who's happy to give it to us.
00:47:16Six fruit trees all up.
00:47:18Mate, we'll get whatever we can.
00:47:20It was about nine grand's worth of fruit trees.
00:47:22Troy sent his guys and we're able to pick up
00:47:23this beautiful nectarine tree
00:47:25and we've got the plum tree as well
00:47:26and the second lemon tree over there as well.
00:47:29To be able to save some money
00:47:30and, you know, repurpose some of these trees
00:47:32has been a really, really good result.
00:47:36Colby and Sean work tirelessly offsite
00:47:38to create a chicken coop
00:47:40in the exact same shape as the house.
00:47:46I put the two birdhouses up,
00:47:48which we really love.
00:47:50Again, like the chicken coop,
00:47:52triangle houses.
00:47:54It's just like what's not a feature out there, actually.
00:47:57There's lots of features.
00:47:58It looks amazing.
00:47:59I'm just proud of Brit
00:48:02because this week was also super stressful
00:48:04but we produced
00:48:05The Best Backyard.
00:48:07I hope the judges just say
00:48:16that it just screams to Ellsfords
00:48:18from your bar saunas, ice baths.
00:48:21Hopefully they say,
00:48:22I get why they did the reformer room now.
00:48:24Because they've been rinsing us
00:48:25for seven weeks for it.
00:48:27So hopefully it makes sense to them now.
00:48:33Wowee.
00:48:34Okay.
00:48:35Oh, heaven.
00:48:41They were immediately drawn to the lounge area
00:48:43and took a seat.
00:48:44Darren said,
00:48:46thank goodness they put an umbrella in.
00:48:48This is a very elegant space
00:48:50but I'm still the only one in the shade.
00:48:53Guys, you've got to remember,
00:48:54we've got some big trees here, okay?
00:48:56So they are deciduous trees.
00:48:58So when it's summertime,
00:48:59these trees are going to give you cover.
00:49:01Love that.
00:49:02Thank God you're here, Dave.
00:49:03Darren thinks the PGH stone
00:49:06on the fireplace
00:49:08is stunning and magical.
00:49:10It is really beautiful.
00:49:12I love the stark white.
00:49:14I love the link to inside.
00:49:16And I just,
00:49:17I think this area
00:49:19as a lounge area
00:49:20on top of that area
00:49:22as your dining area,
00:49:23it's just magic.
00:49:24Marty said seeing it all finished,
00:49:28he can imagine the wedding shoot
00:49:29here right now.
00:49:33They actually started on this outside area
00:49:35of planning and prepping months ago
00:49:38and you can see the level of finish here
00:49:40compared to what we've seen.
00:49:42This is shoot ready right now.
00:49:43Yes.
00:49:44Well, this is Troy Lovett,
00:49:45Lovett Landscapes, okay?
00:49:46So talking about the design
00:49:48that he's gone for,
00:49:49he wants to basically have
00:49:50like a contemporary garden here
00:49:52with links to like the wellness
00:49:54and that's why we've got the sauna,
00:49:56the spa,
00:49:57the cold plunge.
00:49:58But the connection
00:49:59is these arbours, okay?
00:50:01So this feeds you out.
00:50:02Now, they may look a little bit bare
00:50:04at the moment,
00:50:04but you can see that
00:50:05they've got star jasmine
00:50:06that's going to go up
00:50:07the sides of these.
00:50:07So, yes,
00:50:09if it's a wedding,
00:50:09but it's more to take
00:50:11the focal point down
00:50:12into the pool,
00:50:13it sections it off.
00:50:14This is something
00:50:15that I absolutely love.
00:50:16It's more like a classic modern to me.
00:50:18It's like a journey garden.
00:50:19Yeah.
00:50:21Shona thinks the planting
00:50:23is all stunning.
00:50:25She also really liked
00:50:26the birdhouses
00:50:27attached to the arbours.
00:50:29Speaking of birds,
00:50:30a chicken coop as well
00:50:32and a greenhouse.
00:50:34What a great spot.
00:50:35It's fantastic.
00:50:36It really is.
00:50:37It feels very expensive.
00:50:39Yeah.
00:50:39They've sold perfect use here.
00:50:41They've given
00:50:42every single thing
00:50:43a purpose
00:50:44and a deliberate use.
00:50:46And they found a creek.
00:50:48That's a first on the block.
00:50:51So generally,
00:50:52all of these properties
00:50:53have a rainwater garden,
00:50:54all right?
00:50:55Yes, we've seen that.
00:50:55But this one's so much bigger.
00:50:57Do you see this
00:50:59as too big of a bed?
00:51:01Because whilst I love
00:51:03the architecture behind it,
00:51:05I also think,
00:51:06well, a buyer will come here
00:51:07and go,
00:51:08what is the purpose
00:51:09of that
00:51:10versus the purpose
00:51:11of having more grass
00:51:13for the kids
00:51:14to kick a footy
00:51:14or...
00:51:15I love the look of it,
00:51:16but just the practicality side.
00:51:18I'm on the fence
00:51:19on this one,
00:51:19to be honest,
00:51:20because, you know,
00:51:20this will photograph up
00:51:21so good
00:51:22and I get where it is.
00:51:24It's sustainable.
00:51:24It's got everything.
00:51:25It screams Dale's foot
00:51:26as well at the same time.
00:51:27It could be the only thing
00:51:28that turns a buyer off.
00:51:29Sheena told him
00:51:32to shut up.
00:51:34Yes, Sheena.
00:51:35She said,
00:51:36this is magnificent.
00:51:38This is like a childhood dream.
00:51:40Like,
00:51:41I know you've got little kids,
00:51:42I've got grandkids,
00:51:43and I can see them
00:51:44just spending
00:51:45all their time out here
00:51:46and not coming inside.
00:51:48I think that
00:51:51this is the stuff
00:51:53of childhood dreams.
00:51:54It's the things
00:51:54that I remember
00:51:55from when I was a little kid,
00:51:56but selling a house,
00:51:59families always say,
00:52:01oh, this isn't enough lawn
00:52:03for my kid to run around.
00:52:04Well, I've never seen
00:52:05someone jump online
00:52:05and go,
00:52:06I need to find a house
00:52:07with a big dry creek.
00:52:08With a creek, yep.
00:52:09I mean, it's a great feature,
00:52:11but it's not...
00:52:11This is huge.
00:52:12They're building something
00:52:13that you didn't know
00:52:14you wanted.
00:52:15I'm literally going to stick
00:52:16to my guns with this one.
00:52:18And then headed
00:52:19towards the cabana
00:52:20and took in the pool,
00:52:22and they were immediately
00:52:22drawn inside.
00:52:24Oh.
00:52:24Wow.
00:52:25How's this craftsmanship?
00:52:26Look at the way
00:52:27that they've cut
00:52:28and installed this decking.
00:52:31Just the simplicity
00:52:32of using this
00:52:32over and over and over again.
00:52:34It's one big space.
00:52:36It looks super minimalistic
00:52:38and refined.
00:52:38Wow.
00:52:39It's...
00:52:39Garen also loved
00:52:43the consideration
00:52:43of doing one light-plungy pool
00:52:46and one dark-plungy
00:52:47for the spa.
00:52:49That Freedom furniture
00:52:50is beyond stunning.
00:52:52Now, I have the Contour 3D cabana,
00:52:55and I want to see
00:52:57how they've used it
00:52:58because, controversially, Dave,
00:53:00in there,
00:53:01we've got a Pilates studio.
00:53:03So this is clearly
00:53:04a lifestyle-centric house.
00:53:06I want to know
00:53:07how they've picked up
00:53:08that lifestyle in here.
00:53:10Finally, to the cabana,
00:53:11they thought the couch
00:53:12was in the right spot
00:53:13and no internal render,
00:53:15so it honours the detail
00:53:16of the Contour 3D.
00:53:21This is not a lounge room,
00:53:22though, is it?
00:53:23No.
00:53:23This is a cabana.
00:53:24Yeah.
00:53:24Yeah.
00:53:25You've still got one lounge room.
00:53:26Why on earth
00:53:30you have to stick to your guns
00:53:33and not put the Pilates studio
00:53:34in the shed
00:53:35or in here?
00:53:37This is such a good spot
00:53:38for a Pilates studio.
00:53:40Here we go.
00:53:41Yes, for real.
00:53:43Pilates said
00:53:44they could lose this competition
00:53:46because of that Pilates studio.
00:53:48They all debated
00:53:49if you are just too focused
00:53:51or too stubborn.
00:53:53Both, maybe.
00:53:56Fortunately,
00:53:57this is
00:53:59Backyard and Cabana Week
00:54:00and the backyard is amazing
00:54:02and so is this cabana.
00:54:04This cabana's fantastic.
00:54:05This sells the dream
00:54:07of the wellness
00:54:08and they've ticked every box.
00:54:10I want to do a call-out
00:54:11to Troy Lovett
00:54:12for his design
00:54:13and also Britt and Taz
00:54:14for getting someone in early
00:54:16because you can feel it,
00:54:17you can see it
00:54:18and they've allocated money
00:54:19right from the start
00:54:20and it is
00:54:21the dream.
00:54:23They have created
00:54:24this dream backyard.
00:54:26Some brilliant feedback there,
00:54:27Britt and Taz.
00:54:28That's it.
00:54:43OK, house four,
00:54:44Sonny and Elish.
00:54:48This week was fun.
00:54:49We're not at the peak yet
00:54:51but this was us
00:54:52climbing to the peak.
00:54:55Hey, Paul.
00:54:56We worked really closely
00:54:57with our landscape design,
00:54:59Paul Pritchard
00:55:00and also Dylan
00:55:01from Jade Built.
00:55:02I've had experience
00:55:03in the past
00:55:03working with Dave Franklin.
00:55:05Yes, Dave does the judging
00:55:07so maybe he'll be
00:55:08a little biased.
00:55:08We've built our house
00:55:15with a family like us in mind.
00:55:18Kids want some grass to play on.
00:55:21They love having a bit of grass
00:55:23and a bit of lawn
00:55:24to kick the football.
00:55:25Open space is great.
00:55:26You don't want to feel like crowded.
00:55:27You've got this space,
00:55:28use it.
00:55:31We have to think
00:55:32if we're using tiles
00:55:33anywhere in the backyard,
00:55:34the front yard,
00:55:35the side yard,
00:55:36the up yard,
00:55:37the down yard
00:55:38and every yard in between
00:55:40and your neighbour's yard.
00:55:41Let's do pool.
00:55:42There's these ones.
00:55:43Yeah, that one,
00:55:44that one there,
00:55:44yeah, that looks quite different.
00:55:46That looks like
00:55:46kind of seen
00:55:47sort of looking,
00:55:48isn't it?
00:55:48The bocce court,
00:55:51they've marked all that out,
00:55:52dug it out.
00:55:54Sick.
00:55:54Yeah.
00:55:55Yeah.
00:55:57I got to Bunnings
00:55:59and I found the fire pit aisle
00:56:02and I needed to make sure
00:56:04that I picked the right one.
00:56:07I mean,
00:56:19it's pretty good.
00:56:22Looks like Heathcote's the one.
00:56:24Oh, Mick,
00:56:25I think this is sold.
00:56:29It's the biggest wood
00:56:30on the block,
00:56:30my arbour.
00:56:34Looking at the arbour here,
00:56:35is this Wombat Park
00:56:36inspiration?
00:56:37from our long lunch?
00:56:38Absolutely.
00:56:38It is.
00:56:39It is.
00:56:40Yay!
00:56:44Our team has been
00:56:45A1 from the start,
00:56:47haven't they?
00:56:47Are you getting sad now?
00:56:48No, but they have met.
00:56:49They have.
00:56:50I was a bit teary
00:56:51looking at it this morning.
00:56:53It withdrew
00:56:54emotion out of me.
00:57:03It pulls the focal point
00:57:04of the whole yard
00:57:05with the arbour behind it
00:57:06and everything
00:57:07and everything is
00:57:07right there.
00:57:09When you stand
00:57:09on the alfresco
00:57:10and you look out.
00:57:12Yeah.
00:57:12It's sick.
00:57:13Yeah.
00:57:18Nice.
00:57:19Oh.
00:57:19Wow.
00:57:21Look at that.
00:57:22How good's this look?
00:57:23Sun coming through.
00:57:24Oh.
00:57:26This is beautiful.
00:57:32It's so simple,
00:57:34but yet looking out
00:57:35is a textbook back garden.
00:57:38It is.
00:57:39It's textbook.
00:57:40Yeah.
00:57:40This is a landscaper
00:57:42that we have had
00:57:42on the show before.
00:57:43So his name's Dylan Barker
00:57:44from Jade Landscapes.
00:57:46Wow.
00:57:46I got to speak to him
00:57:47this morning
00:57:48and the landscape
00:57:48is all about family
00:57:50and a home.
00:57:51Mate, I would say
00:57:52a good, proper
00:57:53Aussie backyard.
00:57:54That's exactly
00:57:55what this looks like.
00:57:56Yeah.
00:57:57Shona said to Marty,
00:57:58you wanted lawn,
00:57:59you've got lawn.
00:58:01I mean,
00:58:01that's the thing.
00:58:02Straight off the deck,
00:58:03you've got heaps of lawn.
00:58:04Yeah.
00:58:05This is the only design
00:58:06that we've seen
00:58:06where the outdoor dining
00:58:08is so far away
00:58:08from the rest of it.
00:58:10It's quite different
00:58:11and unique
00:58:11and it actually works.
00:58:14Shona just love
00:58:15the colour
00:58:15of the Little Hampton
00:58:16Brick Company pavers.
00:58:19They feel very handmade,
00:58:21probably because
00:58:21they are Shona.
00:58:22Yes, Shona,
00:58:23they are.
00:58:24Look at this
00:58:24and how
00:58:25the arbor relates
00:58:26to this furniture.
00:58:28We were saying
00:58:28that's the wedding house
00:58:30but this is like
00:58:31you entertain
00:58:32for Christmas Day
00:58:34with three or four
00:58:35families combined.
00:58:36It's like 24 people.
00:58:37Yeah.
00:58:40It's simple,
00:58:41it's solid.
00:58:42I was even looking
00:58:43at the pool fencing
00:58:44going,
00:58:44I wish they had
00:58:45upped the spec
00:58:46but then I've noticed
00:58:47a lot of these trees
00:58:48and plants,
00:58:49they're actually
00:58:50all going to keep growing
00:58:51and they're going to
00:58:52actually make the fence
00:58:53disappear.
00:58:53So if it was glass,
00:58:55it would have been
00:58:55an issue,
00:58:56is that right?
00:58:57Correct, mate.
00:58:57Again,
00:58:58this is a garden
00:58:58that's going to be
00:58:59ever-changing as well
00:59:00so it is well thought
00:59:01out with the plant
00:59:02palette here.
00:59:03So this is another
00:59:03garden that's going
00:59:04to look fantastic
00:59:05come auction time.
00:59:07Yeah.
00:59:07Shona noticed
00:59:08the wisteria's planted
00:59:09next to the arbor
00:59:10and imagine
00:59:11and imagine
00:59:11what it will be like
00:59:12when they grow
00:59:13over the top.
00:59:14Just beautiful.
00:59:15I'm looking at the timber
00:59:16and thinking,
00:59:17jeez,
00:59:17do you want to cover it?
00:59:18But again,
00:59:18wisteria will look fantastic.
00:59:20I tell you what,
00:59:22everything I look at
00:59:24looks like
00:59:25an elevation
00:59:27of the perfect
00:59:28Aussie garden.
00:59:29You're right.
00:59:30You're right.
00:59:30It really is.
00:59:33Compliments kept on coming,
00:59:35Sonny and Leish.
00:59:36Yay.
00:59:36I do love that
00:59:37raised garden bed.
00:59:39That's just so practical
00:59:40and we've got a fig tree,
00:59:41got maybe a lemon
00:59:42or a lime.
00:59:43This is great.
00:59:44Look at this
00:59:45little rolling knoll down.
00:59:47Imagine the
00:59:48boots going down there.
00:59:50Marty then headed
00:59:51inside your sauna
00:59:52and he thanks you
00:59:53very much
00:59:54for switching it on.
00:59:56Look how big it is.
00:59:58This is a cool sauna.
01:00:00It's on.
01:00:01It's on.
01:00:02I love it.
01:00:03This is a great
01:00:04little spot too.
01:00:04Is it?
01:00:05It's not like
01:00:05they don't have
01:00:06a lot of dining spaces.
01:00:07I was just going to say,
01:00:08I just think it's
01:00:08don't need that.
01:00:09Unless it's to
01:00:10connect something here,
01:00:11what have they done?
01:00:14Okay,
01:00:14that's interesting.
01:00:16Check it.
01:00:18Look.
01:00:18Ah.
01:00:19There we go.
01:00:21A little day bed.
01:00:22A little day bed.
01:00:23And then found a microwave,
01:00:24a toilet,
01:00:25kitchenette,
01:00:26and then
01:00:27kind of realised
01:00:28what type of room
01:00:29he was actually in.
01:00:30It's a poolside cabana,
01:00:32obviously,
01:00:32but the fact that
01:00:33you could
01:00:34crash here.
01:00:35Crash here?
01:00:36Yeah.
01:00:36Marty said,
01:00:37it's like a little
01:00:37hotel swing.
01:00:39Because you've got
01:00:40heating and cooling.
01:00:42This is the highest
01:00:42spec cabana we've seen
01:00:43today.
01:00:44Like,
01:00:44every single part
01:00:45of the wall
01:00:46is stunning.
01:00:48Dave said,
01:00:49this is the best
01:00:50pool cabana
01:00:50he'd ever seen.
01:00:53He called it
01:00:53a great doghouse
01:00:54and it's extremely
01:00:55well executed.
01:00:57Sonny would know
01:00:57what that is.
01:00:58That's why I built
01:00:59it straight.
01:01:00You're always in trouble.
01:01:02I'm always in the doghouse.
01:01:03It's a well-lit doghouse.
01:01:05It's very,
01:01:06very beautiful.
01:01:07The design,
01:01:08the materials,
01:01:09even the decision
01:01:09to paint the ceiling
01:01:10black,
01:01:11and that they've
01:01:12honoured the
01:01:14Contour 3D form.
01:01:15Tell you what,
01:01:16I was not expecting
01:01:17to see a cabana
01:01:18to this standard.
01:01:19He said,
01:01:20this space
01:01:21is now part
01:01:21of the agent's campaign.
01:01:24They then headed out
01:01:25to find
01:01:25not only a fire pit,
01:01:27but a whole
01:01:27petonk pitch,
01:01:28or bocce,
01:01:29depending on
01:01:30where you come from.
01:01:31This looks like
01:01:31it's the professional size.
01:01:34Marty's not bad.
01:01:35That's pretty good.
01:01:36They all had a go
01:01:37and they found themselves
01:01:39very happily relaxing
01:01:40here in the sunshine.
01:01:42What is amazing
01:01:43is that they've placed
01:01:45this bench here
01:01:46for this purpose
01:01:47and we did exactly
01:01:48what you naturally do
01:01:50when you're playing
01:01:50this game
01:01:51socially with friends.
01:01:52Wow,
01:01:53what a backyard.
01:01:55That's it,
01:01:56Sonny Elish.
01:01:56Well done.
01:02:09Okay,
01:02:09how's five,
01:02:10Robbie and Matt?
01:02:11G'day.
01:02:14This week
01:02:15was
01:02:16beautiful
01:02:18and muddy.
01:02:23Pool day.
01:02:24Pool day, awesome.
01:02:25Fundy day.
01:02:26So, I'm Mick.
01:02:26Cam from Plungy.
01:02:28We're actually launching
01:02:28a new Plungy
01:02:30called the Quad,
01:02:31which is a 2.2 metre
01:02:33square Plungy.
01:02:35Wellbeing is such a hot trend
01:02:37that we've designed this
01:02:38to be a cold plunge pool.
01:02:41Plungy giving us two pools.
01:02:42One for the entertainment.
01:02:43Plungy Max.
01:02:44And a cold pool.
01:02:45Plungy Quad.
01:02:47The backyard
01:02:49is an entertainer
01:02:51and family dream.
01:02:52And family dream.
01:02:52Play pickleball,
01:02:54jump in the pool,
01:02:55sit in front of the fireplace.
01:02:56So many options.
01:02:57Paul Grant and his team.
01:02:58They're perfectionists.
01:03:00We love Paul,
01:03:01and to be honest,
01:03:02there is no way
01:03:02we could do it without him.
01:03:03He is phenomenal.
01:03:04We are going to be putting
01:03:07a big tree here.
01:03:10So I'd like to put
01:03:11maybe like two chairs together
01:03:13and something there.
01:03:14What about these
01:03:16manly chairs,
01:03:18these two little ones?
01:03:19Amazing.
01:03:20All this freedom furniture
01:03:21is going to be
01:03:22exactly what we need.
01:03:23What do you think of this?
01:03:27Oh, wow.
01:03:28It's around about
01:03:2925 years old.
01:03:32I didn't know
01:03:32what a bottle tree was
01:03:33until I got to
01:03:33the bottle tree place.
01:03:34Bottle tree,
01:03:35bottle tree,
01:03:35bottle tree,
01:03:36bottle tree.
01:03:36I love this girl.
01:03:38She's thick,
01:03:39and I think she needs
01:03:40to come home with me.
01:03:41She's massive.
01:03:43It is beautiful, mate.
01:03:44Great pick.
01:03:47Finally,
01:03:47this big pickleball court
01:03:49is now being installed.
01:03:50Just the size of it alone
01:03:52is huge,
01:03:53because you could
01:03:53chuck a marquee on that.
01:03:55You could see
01:03:55100 people on that easily.
01:03:57Easily.
01:03:59I went to
01:04:00Stony Creek Gallery.
01:04:02The gallery
01:04:02is mind-blowing.
01:04:04It's amazing.
01:04:05Took one of
01:04:06Michael Parker's
01:04:08personal sculptures.
01:04:10Wow.
01:04:11It's so much more
01:04:12beautiful than what
01:04:13I even thought it would be.
01:04:14This is one of his
01:04:15last sculptures
01:04:16that he has ever done,
01:04:18and so we are
01:04:18very grateful
01:04:19to have this in our yard.
01:04:20It's incredible.
01:04:22If I could
01:04:23bottle this up,
01:04:24bottle,
01:04:25bottle this up,
01:04:26I would,
01:04:27I would bottle this up.
01:04:27Paul's vision
01:04:28has come to life.
01:04:30I would,
01:04:31because you're gorgeous
01:04:32in this moment.
01:04:34And he even said
01:04:36this is the best work
01:04:37he's ever done.
01:04:39So suddenly
01:04:40I'm in love
01:04:41with a stranger.
01:04:42We've listened,
01:04:44we've learned,
01:04:45and we've grown.
01:04:46And this week
01:04:47showcases everything
01:04:49that we've learnt.
01:04:50We're here to win
01:04:51this competition.
01:04:53Big words.
01:04:55Well, we are.
01:04:55Oh, my goodness.
01:05:02Wow.
01:05:04Look at all the curves,
01:05:05Shana.
01:05:06This is,
01:05:06you know what,
01:05:07this is very Dr. Seuss.
01:05:08Oh.
01:05:09Don't you think?
01:05:10Very magical.
01:05:12It is magical.
01:05:16Look at the fire
01:05:17in the trends.
01:05:19Wow.
01:05:20Look at that.
01:05:21It's got a couple
01:05:22of bloody
01:05:22pieces of meat on it.
01:05:25Oh, my God.
01:05:25A couple of pieces.
01:05:26They're Flintstone size.
01:05:28Oh.
01:05:29He was literally salivating.
01:05:31That's ready to eat.
01:05:32Yeah, we'll cut that after.
01:05:33This is fantastic,
01:05:34isn't it?
01:05:35It's just so good.
01:05:36It anchors
01:05:37the outdoor entertaining.
01:05:38This bench here
01:05:39acts as a bit of a seat.
01:05:41I love the finish.
01:05:42Yeah.
01:05:43That's beautiful.
01:05:44This is a design
01:05:45that I do know
01:05:45and other landscape
01:05:46I know.
01:05:48His name is
01:05:48Paul Grant
01:05:49and he did say
01:05:50that this is
01:05:50one of the biggest
01:05:51outdoor fireplaces
01:05:52in the region.
01:05:53In the region.
01:05:54In the region.
01:05:55But I've never seen
01:05:56anything this big before.
01:05:57It's incredible.
01:06:00Marty was briefly
01:06:00concerned about
01:06:01the placement
01:06:02of the fireplace.
01:06:05From the deck
01:06:06and from
01:06:06a family perspective,
01:06:08not being able
01:06:09to see the kids
01:06:10in the pool,
01:06:10that is a concern
01:06:11and I think people
01:06:12will recognise
01:06:13that when they come here.
01:06:14Well, actually,
01:06:15a Swan security camera
01:06:16up here
01:06:16point directly
01:06:17at the pool
01:06:18so you can watch
01:06:19that from your phone
01:06:20or from the TV
01:06:22inside in the living room
01:06:23and you can keep
01:06:25an eye on the kids
01:06:25while they're in the pool.
01:06:26That's pretty cool.
01:06:27Yeah.
01:06:28That's pretty handy.
01:06:29Dave Franklin
01:06:29talked a lot today
01:06:31about the layering
01:06:32of the basalt
01:06:33and pebbles
01:06:33and the very
01:06:35considered placement
01:06:36of everything
01:06:37in the garden.
01:06:39This landscape
01:06:40here is sustainable.
01:06:41You can turn
01:06:42the irrigation off
01:06:42on this one
01:06:43and this one will grow
01:06:44there are no problems
01:06:44whatsoever.
01:06:45Dave, look to the side
01:06:46of your yard
01:06:47and said...
01:06:48We've had some trees
01:06:48on the block
01:06:49but this is just
01:06:50a hero, isn't it?
01:06:52Yeah.
01:06:52It really is.
01:06:52That's one of the most
01:06:53beautiful trees
01:06:53I've seen in my life.
01:06:55So it is about 25 years old
01:06:57is this tree
01:06:58but how good
01:06:59is just having
01:06:59a simple tree
01:07:00than having a structure?
01:07:02I think this looks
01:07:02fantastic.
01:07:05Darren then had
01:07:06to quote the castle.
01:07:08Oh, the serenity.
01:07:09I thought you were
01:07:11going to say
01:07:11I dug a hole.
01:07:15Darren really liked
01:07:16the inclusion
01:07:17of the food kids.
01:07:18So you've got
01:07:18that lovely sustainable
01:07:20grow your own food
01:07:21thing at home.
01:07:21You've got a trellis
01:07:22to grow things
01:07:23up in a vine.
01:07:24Technically it's wonderful
01:07:25but it's so pretty.
01:07:27And we haven't even
01:07:27mentioned the swimming pool.
01:07:29I'm surprised
01:07:30you haven't mentioned
01:07:30the...
01:07:31Because I can't wait
01:07:32to...
01:07:33Hey, you got me
01:07:34a bocce, mate
01:07:34but you ain't getting
01:07:35me a pickle.
01:07:36Get on that court.
01:07:38And then the competition
01:07:39between the judges
01:07:39was on again.
01:07:41Is this what you
01:07:42and your real estate
01:07:43mates do every week?
01:07:44Hey?
01:07:49There's no mercy here.
01:07:52Oh!
01:07:54Nearly went over then.
01:07:55Scores, Marty two,
01:07:56Dave zero.
01:07:58You know what?
01:07:59The boys...
01:08:00Look at how much
01:08:00you get.
01:08:01The boys won
01:08:01the fireplace.
01:08:02They won
01:08:03the pickleball court.
01:08:05They won
01:08:06the money
01:08:07from the wine cellar
01:08:08to get the bottle
01:08:09tree.
01:08:09Everything they want
01:08:10has added value
01:08:12to here.
01:08:13You've made it all
01:08:14work so well together.
01:08:16It's very cohesive.
01:08:18This here's a pretty
01:08:19incredible inclusion.
01:08:21These are the only
01:08:22contestants that have
01:08:23actually added this in.
01:08:24Hey, that actually
01:08:25goes quite quick.
01:08:26That's easy.
01:08:27Look at that.
01:08:27And they're easy.
01:08:28Jeez.
01:08:28From Shade Spot here,
01:08:29I'll be honest,
01:08:30I haven't seen one of
01:08:30these before.
01:08:31It's actually giving
01:08:32shade over there.
01:08:33Yeah, that's it.
01:08:34So it just depends
01:08:35where you're
01:08:35wanting to sit.
01:08:36Well, when it's
01:08:3712 to 2 o'clock
01:08:39and that sun is
01:08:39beating down
01:08:40on a 40 degree
01:08:41day, that's actually
01:08:42giving them
01:08:43the protection
01:08:44that's needed.
01:08:45Inside the
01:08:46Contour 3D
01:08:47Cabana,
01:08:48they found
01:08:48another sauna
01:08:49and another
01:08:50great inclusion.
01:08:51But they didn't
01:08:52think it was
01:08:53built in as well
01:08:54as House 1's
01:08:55was.
01:08:55It just feels
01:08:59like this
01:08:59plonk there
01:09:00to me.
01:09:01I would rather
01:09:01see something
01:09:02a little bit
01:09:02more in here.
01:09:04It's great,
01:09:04but it's not
01:09:05as luxurious
01:09:06as some of
01:09:06the other
01:09:06Cabanas we've
01:09:07seen.
01:09:07Definitely not.
01:09:10They then
01:09:11headed back
01:09:11to the fire
01:09:12to deliberate
01:09:13and found
01:09:14Maddie from
01:09:15the Dalesford
01:09:16Meat Company
01:09:16slicing up
01:09:17the ribeye
01:09:18for them.
01:09:19G'day, mate.
01:09:19Hello.
01:09:20Hello.
01:09:20Good, thank you.
01:09:22Looking for
01:09:23a couple of
01:09:23extra points
01:09:24there.
01:09:25As they
01:09:26ate their
01:09:27steak,
01:09:27they thought
01:09:28about what
01:09:28they'd seen
01:09:29today,
01:09:30and they have
01:09:30nothing but
01:09:31high praise
01:09:31for all of
01:09:32you.
01:09:33I'm going
01:09:34to say,
01:09:34I've been
01:09:35on the block
01:09:35for a long
01:09:36time,
01:09:36but this is
01:09:36some of the
01:09:37best landscapes
01:09:37I've ever
01:09:38seen.
01:09:39That is high
01:09:40praise indeed,
01:09:41considering he's
01:09:42done a lot
01:09:42of them himself.
01:09:44Time for the
01:09:44scores.
01:09:46Congratulations,
01:09:46everyone.
01:09:47What do you
01:09:47think of
01:09:47everything,
01:09:48don't you?
01:09:48What not
01:09:49steak?
01:09:55Here we
01:10:01go.
01:10:02Good
01:10:02week,
01:10:02everyone.
01:10:03Congratulations.
01:10:04Okay, Dave
01:10:04Franklin's first.
01:10:06Emma and Ben.
01:10:07I'm so
01:10:07nervous.
01:10:0880% is native
01:10:10here.
01:10:10Very sustainable
01:10:11as well.
01:10:12It's going to be
01:10:12hard to beat.
01:10:17Pat and
01:10:17can.
01:10:19Maybe just a
01:10:20little bit undercooked
01:10:21with some
01:10:21of the
01:10:22finishes.
01:10:22That's why
01:10:23you can see
01:10:23that there's
01:10:23no water
01:10:24in the pool.
01:10:29Britain
01:10:29Taz.
01:10:30This is
01:10:30something that
01:10:31I absolutely
01:10:31love.
01:10:32It's more
01:10:32like a
01:10:32classic
01:10:33modern to
01:10:33me.
01:10:40Setting
01:10:40a leash.

01:10:43and a
01:10:44home.
01:10:44This is
01:10:44what they've
01:10:45ticked off
01:10:45here.
01:10:49Robbie
01:10:50and Matt.
01:10:51We've had
01:10:52some trees
01:10:53on the
01:10:53block,
01:10:54but this
01:10:54is just
01:10:55a hero.
01:11:02Ooh.
01:11:03High

01:11:28I
01:11:28really
01:11:29like
01:11:29the
01:11:29stone.
01:11:30I
01:11:30love
01:11:31how

01:11:55Everything
01:11:55I look
01:11:56at
01:11:56looks like
01:11:57an

01:12:01It's
01:12:07probably
01:12:07in
01:12:07that.
01:12:08Technically
01:12:08it's
01:12:09wonderful,
01:12:09but it's
01:12:10so
01:12:10pretty.
01:12:17Oh,
01:12:17I've never
01:12:19seen this.
01:12:19Holy

01:12:46I don't
01:12:47really like
01:12:47what I'm
01:12:48looking at.
01:12:54Britain
01:12:54Taz.
01:12:56Love
01:12:57the look
01:12:57of it,
01:12:57but just
01:12:58the
01:12:58practicality
01:12:59side,
01:12:59it could
01:12:59be the

01:13:42Hey,
