00:00There's none potentially from the rivalry perspective bigger than the Red River rivalry.
00:05Texas, fresh off their loss against Florida, limps into Dallas as a one and a half point favorite in this ballgame.
00:13But potentially, John Matier and the Oklahoma Sooners might be undefeated by the end of this weekend.
00:20Matier might play in this matchup.
00:22Whether he does or it doesn't, it'll still be an experienced quarterback in Michael Hawkins that did play in this game last year.
00:30Texas rolled in that matchup, coach.
00:32But how do you see this playing out with or without John Matier at the helm?
00:37Well, I think Matier definitely is a better quarterback for Oklahoma than Hawkins.
00:42But it's going to be two questions.
00:43Will Matier play and will Arch Manning play better?
00:47Those are the two issues of this football game because if Matier doesn't play, Hawkins is a solid quarterback.
00:54But he didn't get replaced by Matier for no reason at all.
00:58Matier gives them a better chance.
01:00Everybody that has watched him throw the ball and run know the way he can lead.
01:05The key is Arch Manning.
01:06Arch Manning needs to really upgrade his game.
01:10This has got to be a game where he just kind of takes it to another level.
01:13He's not going to jump out there and dazzle everybody with running and throwing and all the kind of things like that.
01:21But he can play a better football game, be more accurate, hit the deep ball, make sure he hits the open receiver.
01:27He's missed some of those.
01:29And he needs to have a good game as well.
01:31And then Texas, I do believe, needs to run the ball.
01:34Because in a lot of ways, Oklahoma has stats against, they've got three G5 teams they've played.
01:41And the two offensive power five teams they've played, Michigan early, not much offense in that game.
01:47Auburn has not had any offense since the first game against Baylor.
01:52I think they're going to be tested.
01:53I've got this feel that Texas is going to grow from last week.
01:58And we're going to see Texas and Arch Manning play their best football game against Oklahoma.
02:02Yeah, look at Oklahoma.
02:04They're averaging 33 points per game on defense, only giving up seven points allowed against the opposition.
02:11They stepped up in their big marquee games against Auburn and Michigan, respectively.
02:16And this is a team, I think, in Texas right now searching for an identity.
02:20I don't know what to expect.
02:23Last year, I felt they were more reliant on the rush and took the pressure off of Quinn Ewers in the passing attack
02:29when they did have success on the ground.
02:31But to your point, that offensive line has looked a little bit inconsistent.
02:35And going up against one of the best rush defenses in all of college football,
02:39I'll take the point and a half with Oklahoma.
02:41I do feel this game trends to the undercoach just because if you're Oklahoma,
02:46I don't think you want to get into a shootout.
02:48Even though you have John Mater, you're willing to do that,
02:50but you don't know how he is in terms of he might be 90 percent, he might be 80 percent.
02:56You still want to try and win it with your defense.
02:58I lean to the under here.
02:59Do you have a feel for the total?
03:02Yeah, I don't know.
03:04I have a good – I'm not really going to total as much as I have a feel.
03:07I just have a feel that Texas will play their best game,
03:10that Arch Manning will rise to the occasion.
03:12He's got so much – every time – I know we talked to Mac Brown the other day
03:17who's watched them practice several times,
03:19and he felt like there's that much talent in him if he plays his best football game.
03:24I don't see a high-scoring game, but I think Texas can win this football game.
