00:00Live from the Meadowlands last night, the New York Giants came into that football game
00:031-4, losing to the lowly New Orleans Saints on a short work week here.
00:07The Eagles coming off a victory or a loss they should have had a victory in the Denver Broncos.
00:10The perfect chance to right the ship, and it was last night,
00:13except the final score showed 34-17, and that wasn't a fluke.
00:16If you watch this game all the way through, yeah, the Eagles moved the football through the air
00:19with Jalen Hurts, but the defense, decimated with injuries, could not stop the Giants.
00:23And we're talking about a Giants team that came in with maybe, if you look across the league,
00:27the worst collection of wide receivers you can possibly have.
00:31And under, below average, I should say, offensive line.
00:34Young, talented quarterback that runs around, makes some plays, but still rookie in like his third career start.
00:39Cam Scadaboo, decent little running back in the backfield,
00:42but no way, shape, or form should be able to compete with the Philadelphia Eagles.
00:45And they dominated the Philadelphia Eagles, because the one thing that you do have to put in perspective
00:49is a team that enters into a game that wants to win the football game.
00:52That was the Giants.
00:54It looked like the Eagles last week, ah, lost to the Broncos, shouldn't have happened.
00:57Giants on the road, short week, roll the helmets out there and beat them.
01:00And you can't do that.
01:01The Giants physically dominated the Philadelphia Eagles last night in that life,
01:06and no surprise that it was 34-17.
01:09Before the game, if you would have told me the final score, yeah, it's the Eagles 34-17.
01:12Nope, it was the Giants, and they deserved that victory last night, Joe.
01:16They do, and Donnie, we talked about it on yesterday's spread lines with this game,
01:21that it's crazy when you look at the numbers for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.
01:25He has literally dominated every team in the NFL, except for those in the NFC East,
01:34which tends to make sense, right?
01:36Because those are the teams you're going to play twice a year.
01:39Nobody's going to know you better than they do.
01:41He has struggled only against covering these numbers against the teams in the NFC East,
01:48and he struggled again last night, once again in the second half.
01:52But to me, this was about the defense of Philadelphia, who, again, is getting more and more hurt
01:58and has less and less backups that can actually step in on like a year ago.
02:02The Giants went 11-16 on third down.
02:05They converted 11 of 16 third down opportunities, and I don't care what rookie quarterback you have under center.
02:12If you're doing that, Donnie, it's very difficult that the defense can't get off the field,
02:17and that's exactly what happened to them last night.
