Transcript
00:00Well good morning Expressing Star viewers, I'm here at the Black Country Museum today in Dudley
00:04as you can see the Expressing Star tram's behind me, very apt and I'm actually here for a film
00:10premiere. Now it's an interesting one it's called Black Country by the Sea which obviously everyone
00:15knows we're a landlocked area. Now I'm led to believe it's based on Telly Savala's 1981
00:22Looks at Birmingham film which I must admit I haven't seen but this one apparently it's by Alex
00:28Billingham and it looks at what would happen if the Black Country became flooded and you know
00:35Dudley became the only uh almost like an island is what I'm led to believe
00:39I'm going to go inside and have a watch and I'll be able to let you know what it's like so stay tuned
00:50Well there we are brilliant I've just come out of watching Black Country by the Sea and I've got to say
00:55it was fantastic directed by Alex Billingham and yeah done a great job it's it's interesting to say
01:02the least I must be honest I hope it doesn't happen because the octopuses in the film look
01:07crazy you can go and watch the film actually on YouTube now but yeah it's uh certainly interesting
01:14a lot of interesting messages in there as well obviously touching on global warming and and the
01:18impact that could have but several uh several interesting things to consider really well shot
01:24all shot here actually at the Black Country Museum which you know just goes to show the the importance
01:30that this place has to the local community and and I guess you know Black Country filming is um is on the
01:35rise we've got Peaky Blinders of course and that was actually something they were discussing that they
01:40want more filming to be done in the Black Country and well I'll put it this way they certainly
01:45uh impressed me and uh it was enjoyable so be sure to go and watch it on YouTube and of course read
