00:00The UN is sounding the alarm again over escalating violence and civilian deaths in Sudan,

00:06with growing concern focused on El Fasha, the capital of North Darfur.

00:12The UN accuses the rapid support forces of committing murder, rape and other serious crimes in the besieged city,

00:18warning of a deepening humanitarian crisis.

00:22In Sudan, most horrifically in El Fasha.

00:25Our humanitarian colleagues tell us that since the start of October alone,

00:28more than 50 people have reportedly been killed.

00:32That's what medical association and local sources are telling us.

00:36We, of course, condemn this escalation of violence and the killing of innocent civilians.

00:41The Sudan Doctors Network said that yesterday at least a dozen civilians were killed,

00:46including women and children, with 17 others injured in an attack on a hospital in El Fasha,

00:52allegedly carried out by the rapid support forces.

00:55This follows reports of a deadly attack on the hospital's maternity ward on the previous day.

01:02The people of El Fasha are trapped, terrified and cut off from aid,

01:06and their last lifeline for medical care is under threat.

01:10The UN is also alarmed by a deadly attack on a mosque in El Fasha where families were sheltering.
