00:07We're jam-packed in this minivan.
00:30Hi, I'm Linnea from the band Ellis, and this is our minivan.
00:41We're on tour right now with Worry Club supporting Julia Wolfe across the United States, and we've been touring in this Chrysler Pacifica that we rented in Canada.
00:54We're from Canada, from Hamilton, Ontario.
00:57And we have driven this thing quite a lot of miles. We say kilometers, you say miles.
01:03There have been a lot of casualties on this tour. Unfortunately, many bug lives have been lost.
01:13So, RIP, bugs.
01:16This is Levi. He plays drums, my co-captain at the moment.
01:21We all take shifts driving, I'd say fairly equally.
01:26However, the guys do a lot of the city driving because I've been in more accidents.
01:32We don't have very many rules in terms of staying awake.
01:40People can nap as they please as long as one person is awake and it would be the driver.
01:46Usually a driver picks the music.
01:49However, people are welcome to make requests, which does happen time to time.
01:55We've listened to a lot of different music on this tour, including...
02:03Lonely Island.
02:04Some lonely island.
02:05Some lonely island.
02:07A lot of smashing pumpkins today as we are on the way to Chicago.
02:13An oddly large amount of knuckleback, unironically.
02:19And we honestly, though, spend a lot of the time in the car just yapping.
02:25We're mostly just talking about stuff because we all really like each other and we're friends.
02:30And we have lots to talk about.
02:32And weirdly, like, a never-ending amount of things to talk about because we've been in this van for a long time.
02:39And the yapping continues.
02:41We do also love this game called Spottle, which is like, I think, created by Spotify.
02:49It must be.
02:50Or sponsored, at least.
02:51You have ten guesses to guess an artist.
02:55And there's, like, categories where it will tell you if you're correct or not.
02:59And we play that every day.
03:00It's like, there's one different Spottle every day.
03:03So every day we play our Spottle.
03:05But that's kind of the only, like, daily ritual that we always do, I think.
03:10Oh, we also do vocal warm-ups.
03:13In the van on the way to Soundcheck together.
03:18We like this guy, Jacob's Vocal Academy.
03:21I think he's a German guy.
03:23And, yeah, just to warm up our voices before we arrive at the venue each night.
03:29Well, first of all, we were only given one key with our rental.
03:32So I have put a lot of things on it so we don't lose it, including an air tag and this little machine guy.
03:42We have Dunkin'.
03:44This iced coffee is hot now.
03:47But we drink a lot of coffee from various places, but often Dunkin'.
03:55I've got here also with me a parking ticket I received in Boise, Idaho that I am debating whether or not I'm going to pay.
04:05I like to do a lot of reading.
04:08The guys don't really read.
04:10I just finished Dracula yesterday and then I started this book.
04:14Pretty good so far.
04:15I got it from the library.
04:17What else do we have here?
04:19In this compartment we have some wet wipes and a bunch of Taco Bell gift cards.
04:27Very generously donated to us from Julia Woolf.

04:33Extremely huge.
04:34We've been eating that.
04:36In the middle we have Devin who plays bass and Devin's Crocs as well as a lot of monster.
04:55We are big monster drinkers.
04:58It's our pre-show ritual to have a monster together.
05:03And they were also generously donated by Julia.
05:08So respect.

05:13We got a relief package bag over here and we got a snack bag over here.
05:18Yes.
05:19Various snacks from the grocery store.
05:22And then this is like a throat coat.

05:32Tastes horrible.
05:33This stuff is wild.
05:34It works.
05:35But yeah it gets the mucus out.
05:39This game of Crazy 8's that I bought at 5 below at the beginning of tour and we have never once opened.
05:45But maybe tonight.
05:46Yeah.
05:47Some Lysol Whites.
05:48Floating napkins.
05:49Nothing particularly interesting.
05:50Yeah.
05:51I've been on a big mango kick this tour.
05:52I've been eating a lot of mango.
05:53And my other favorite snack is chips.
05:54My three essentials are an immunity booster shot, a pack of strawberries and a salty snack.
06:01Strawberry boy.
06:02I've been buying apples and not eating them all.
06:09In fact I do actually think that there is an apple in my tote.
06:12This is from Seattle, Washington.
06:13And we're in Chicago, Illinois.
06:15But I am eating, I'm not like, I'm not a waster.
06:19Right?
06:20But I am buying too many apples.
06:21But that's it.
06:22That's all I really buy.
06:23I don't eat anything else.
06:24Other than Taco Bell.
06:25Yeah, it's tacos and apples.
06:32My friend Charlotte has been joining us on this tour.

06:58good hang so there's four of us it's we're jam-packed in this minivan and
07:03it's kind of nice cozy this van came from Nova Scotia originally we're from
07:09Ontario but I guess that's where it started its journey
07:14we've already loaded all of our gear and so you can imagine that it looks very
07:20full in here when everything is in here these are personal belongings including
07:27sleeping bags and pillows and air mattresses because we're often sleeping
07:32in people's living rooms shout out people who post bands it's like hugely helpful
07:38and amazing and generous and yeah we're so grateful for all the hospitality that
07:43we've been showing. Levi is the Tetris man he usually knows the
07:50best way to do things though it is ever-changing as we go on as we sell
08:01merch and make more space and then we find better ways to do it but but there
08:06is usually a best way and Levi is the best at figuring that out. Thank you for
