00:00Well, Conor McGregor was slapped with an 18-month suspension, this from the UFC Anti-Doping Agency.
00:06They say the Irish fighter missed three attempted biological sample collections back in 2024.
00:12Now, the agency reduced McGregor's ban from 24 months to 18,
00:16which coincidentally would end before UFC's planned event on the White House lawn,
00:21all that President Trump said would take place on his birthday on June the 14th.
00:25Now, McGregor has been heavily campaigning to be included in the White House fight,
00:28which would be his first, Rene, in nearly five years.
00:31Yeah, and amidst those three samples within the course of a year is what leads to any sort of suspension,
00:37but it's actually between the months of June and September that he did not give his whereabouts
00:41so that they could do the random drug testing,
00:43and that is an issue with the program that they have in place for the fighters.
00:47So that suspension, allegedly around 24 months, was scaled back to 18 months
00:51after some negotiations and discussions with UFC.
00:54But as you touched on, this does have implications for the White House fight
00:59because Conor McGregor has been one actively talking about making his return for the first since 2021.
01:04He was supposed to come back last year but had a toe injury.
01:07So that date has been circled in the calendar for when we might see Conor McGregor in a UFC fight.
01:11He actually allegedly talked with Dana White and UFC specifically to make sure he could get his name
01:15on that ballot of fighters.
01:17So then here comes the suspension.
01:18It's like, what's next for Conor McGregor?
01:20And now it would make him have to, with that suspension running through March,
01:24have a very expedited short training process to get back involved.
01:28I don't know if he'll be able to pull it off.
01:30I don't know, but it will be interesting.
