In this video, I'll show how to fix the stuttering in Red Dead Redemption 2. This problem is also known as "FPS drops" and "frame drops" in RDR2, and sometimes called traversal stuttering.

1. Launch Red Dead Redemption 2
2. Go to "Settings"
Obs.: "Settings" only appear if you have "Story Mode" selected in the menu. "Settings" doesn't appear if you have "Online Mode" selected in the menu.
3. Go to "Graphics"
4. Scroll down until you find "Advanced Settings", like I show in the video
5. In "Advanced Graphics", press the left arrow key, to unlock it
6. In "Graphics API", press the right arrow key, to change the Graphics API to Vulkan
7. Press the ENTER key - Press the ENTER key again
(This will restart the game)

The bad side is that this will reset your graphic settings. The good side is that this will greatly reduce the stuttering.

After doing this procedure, change the graphics settings to your preferences. However, make sure to maintain the Graphics API in Vulkan, to reduce the stuttering.

The "Recommended System Requirements" for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 mention "12 GB of RAM". If your PC has less than 12 GB of RAM (such as, for example, only 8 GB RAM), in this case the stuttering may be caused by insufficient RAM. In this case, even if you change the Graphics API to Vulkan, the stuttering in the game may continue because the computer hardware is technically not capable of running the game in adequate performance.

This video is meant to fix the stuttering for those users whose PC does meet the "Recommended System Requirements" for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 and still suffer with stuttering. If your PC does not meet the "Recommended System Requirements" for the game, the stuttering may be caused by computer hardware that is technically not capable of running the game in adequate performance.
