00:00Robin Williams' daughter is slamming fans who send her AI-generated videos of her late father.
00:06Zelda Williams, who directed Lisa Frankenstein, took to her Instagram story on Monday asking
00:11people to quote, just stop sending me AI videos of dad. She wrote,
00:16Stop believing I want to see it or that I'll understand. I don't and I won't. If you're just
00:21trying to troll me, I've seen way worse. I'll restrict and move on. But please, if you've got
00:26any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It's dumb,
00:32it's a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it's not what he'd want. She went on to say of
00:37those creating such AI videos, you're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed
00:42hot dogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving
00:47them down someone else's throat hoping they'll give you a little thumbs up and like it. Gross.
00:52Zelda added in another Instagram story post,
00:55And for the love of everything, stop calling it the future. AI is just badly recycling and
01:01regurgitating the past to be reconsumed. You are taking in the human centipede of content and from
01:06the very, very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and
01:11consume. Robin Williams died in 2014 at age 63. Zelda Williams is the latest Hollywood notable to
01:18speak out against AI as it continues to loom over industry creatives. Last month, SAG-AFTRA and
01:23several actors criticized the news that a newly launched AI talent studio was looking to get
01:28representation for a computer-generated actress. For more on this story, go to THR.com.
