00:00Hello, I'm Matt Johnson. I'm the headteacher at Coppola Primary School.
00:03So tell me how you feel about your recent Ofsted report.
00:06We're absolutely thrilled and delighted with our Ofsted report.
00:09It's such a positive report that reflects the hard work, dedication and journey that our school has been on over the last couple of years.
00:16It's a testament to all of our staff, the parents and most importantly our children
00:21that we are delighted that all the hard work has been and the outcomes have been recognised.
00:29The fact that we've got outstanding full behaviour and attitude is absolutely fantastic as well as our personal development.
00:35We put a massive amount of effort here into our core values and one of them is especially knowing every child
00:43and the fact that we were just under 700 children and the largest primary school on the island.
00:49We are delighted that we know every child, we inspire every mind and we achieve every day.
00:54Tell me what makes your school so special.
00:57I think the most special thing here is our school community.
01:01It's not just a school, it's not just a building, it is a family.
01:05And I think for me here, being the headteacher, it's the fact that every morning when we stand on the gate,
01:10seeing those children come in with smiles on their faces,
01:13good morning, good afternoon, good day, and seeing them come in inspired for learning
01:18and that's what makes us tick.
01:20The staff are thrilled with that and revel in it.
01:24The children love everything that we have created here
01:26and that's a whole family feel rather than just being in school.
01:30Tell me what the plans are for the future of the school.
01:32Our next plans then are to continue our development with our redevelopment of our buildings
01:39and that works.
01:40We've just recently put in an e-sports suite.
01:43So it will be training our children in the life of 21st century,
01:48what that means to us beyond just the curriculum.
01:52It's now about their social emotional development as well
01:54and life in Britain in its widest sense.
01:57It's now about their children in the life of 21st century,
