00:00Frankly, I didn't think Steph Diggs was going to be even close to this.

00:03I didn't even think he'd be ready to play.

00:05You know, I thought at this point in the season,

00:06he'd be working his way back to football activities, maybe.

00:09And you might see him by the trade deadline of week eight.

00:11But now, I mean, he started week one, and now he is a weapon in the league again.

00:16I mean, he's a force here with Drake May.

00:18And I think that all of the fears that we may have had about Diggs,

00:22he's going to want the ball too much if he doesn't get it.

00:24He's going to pout.

00:25He's going to be bad for Drake May, this, that, whatever.

00:27These were all concerns I had.

00:29I think a lot of people had these concerns.

00:30I heard about it.

00:31I heard about it too.

00:32We all heard about how he was in Buffalo with Josh Allen,

00:35who, by the way, got him the ball a lot, right?

00:39Josh Allen was not shy about getting the ball to Steph Diggs.

00:42Steph Diggs was getting all sorts of targets.

00:45And he still wasn't happy with it.

00:47So watching that deteriorate and watching that break down as it did in real time,

00:52and we all sort of saw it, and there was probably more to it than that.

00:54But that seemed to be the big issue is that he wasn't getting the ball enough.

00:56Well, listen, they keep connecting like this.

01:01He'll keep getting the ball.

01:03And you can tell Drake May feels comfortable with him.

01:06He feels comfortable going to him in intermediate routes,

01:08extending the play and looking for him downfield.

01:12He's great at getting open in those situations.

01:14They spotlighted it a couple times in the NBC broadcast,

01:17him sort of running these figure eights trying to get open

01:19while May was busting out of the pocket on broken plays,

01:21which led to one of the best plays Drake May has ever made.

01:24I mean, that bomb to Diggs on the rollout was incredible.

01:29What a throw.

01:30Oh, was that a great throw?

01:31It was a great catch.

01:32It was a great play.

01:33Diggs with a toe tap on the sideline.

01:35I mean, he was everywhere.

01:36You have to be kidding me.

01:38He was everywhere.

01:40He was vintage Steph Diggs, and he has been for two weeks now.

01:44Okay?

01:44So, listen, expecting him to come back and be playing at this level,

01:49I didn't think was ever really a possibility,

01:51let alone at this point in the season after coming back to rushing back

01:55from a torn ACL, and yet here he is proving everybody wrong,

01:58proving everybody who doubted him, you're wrong.

02:00It took me a couple of weeks to get going with this kid here,

02:04but now here we are, and look, I'm back.
