00:00He's better on the field than I thought.
00:01He was out there.
00:02I didn't think he'd be out there week one,
00:04so his health is better than I thought.
00:05I was wrong about all those things.
00:07I think the thing I was most wrong about,
00:09at least in this honeymoon period that you've talked about a lot, Keith,
00:12is he is bought in.
00:14You're going to hear more from Vrabel, Diggs, about Vrabel
00:17and buying in with the coach here.
00:20But I kind of thought Diggs was going to be more mercenary,
00:24more out for himself.
00:26He might wear out his welcome.
00:27I mean, that is his history.
00:29He did it in Buffalo.
00:30He did it in Minnesota.
00:31It's debatable if he did it in Houston or not,
00:33but they certainly didn't want him back.
00:34And look at that receiver room.
00:36They could use receivers.
00:37So his history is he wears out welcomes.
00:40That might still be in the future.
00:42But for right now, the man is bought in.
00:46And the messaging there is great.
00:48It's I took it not crying about the rest like all of us,
00:51ourselves included, did.
00:52The callers have all done.
00:54People were doing a live during the game watching it.
00:56Even if he did, people would be agreeing with him.
00:58Yeah, they would.
00:59He wasn't even better than that.
01:00But he said, no, I took it.
01:01It's not the refs.
01:02It was me.
01:03I took it away from him.
01:04And on top of that, guys, let's not drink the Kool-Aid.
01:06We're four and two.
01:06There's a long season left.
01:07So let's figure it out.
01:09And I think that messaging from Diggs has been consistently strong.
01:12And I did not expect that at all.
01:14Yeah, because if anybody was going to sort of like be so caught up in one game,
01:18it might be him for, you know, because of the Buffalo game and what that meant.
01:22But it was after the Buffalo game when we played the comments last week when he was
01:26like, in many ways, this next game is tougher because, you know, going up against the first
01:30place team, the measuring stick game, the reigning MVP of the league, like all of that,
01:35then you're still going to go out and play the rest of the season.
01:37And that next week could be a little bit of a letdown because, you know, what really
01:42motivates you other than it's just another week in the NFL to play the Saints, like a
01:45one win team.
01:46You're like, oh, you could easily get kind of caught in that trap.
01:49They didn't.
01:50And then, all right, so you pass that test, but you're not done like it's and that's
01:54why, like having some of these veterans, like they got rid of so many of their previous
01:59years, captains and like veteran guys.
02:01And one of the things Mike Vrabel did was not only did he bring in his pretty much his
02:05entire own coaching staff, but look at some of these guys that have come in here and
02:10the teams that they have been on.
02:11I mean, Milton Williams just won a Super Bowl.
02:13Harold Landry's been on a bunch of good teams.
02:15Steph Diggs has obviously been on a bunch of good teams.
02:17He hasn't won it, but he's been on a lot of good teams.
