00:00I really do start to feel bad for Alex Van Pelt, and some of that is yes, he's the dad

00:04jeans nice guy.

00:06Some of it is also, other than Drake May, he might be the best thing this offense has.

00:12I think he's done a pretty good job.

00:13He's taken, early in the year he made do with what he had with Jacoby Brissett and that

00:18offensive line and that offense, and later in the year he got a quarterback that could

00:22do some different things, and they've gotten marginally better.

00:26So Alex Van Pelt should not be the guy in the crosshairs, and I know he's in Jonathan's

00:32crosshairs.

00:33He's in some fans' crosshairs.

00:35It's to the point where I think we need a flyover at Gillette that says, save Alex Van

00:40Pelt.

00:41Oh yeah, like they did at a giant stadium with the Mr. Mara, please fire everybody on

00:44one of those planes with the message behind it.

00:46Well let's do fire everyone but Van Pelt.

00:54He's getting scapegoated.

00:56It seems like they're paving a path for that to happen, and I think that's chicken and

01:02If I were Elliot Wolfe, if I were Gerard Mayo, if I were other guys that, if I'm being honest

01:05and I look in the mirror and I look at the stat sheet and I look at the results, I know

01:09he did a better job than I did.

01:11If you're Gerard Mayo, you have to know, in the totality of this year, that you've been

01:15employed as the head coach and he's been employed as the offensive coordinator, he's better

01:19at his job than you've been at your job.

01:21Yeah.

01:22Right?

01:23Agreed.

01:24Fact.

01:25And he's not been good, but he's been better than you.

01:26I'm not saying he's been good enough, but he's been better than you.

01:28And he's going to lose his job while you get to stick around.

01:32Because you went to Israel five years ago?

01:34Well, he didn't get invited.

01:35Maybe Alex would have gone to Israel, too, if you had invited him.

01:37He would have had the best speech in that airport, boy.

01:40I don't even know who he worked for back then, but I'm sure he would have taken a free trip
