00:00Let's go.
00:30A very good evening.
00:41Three fascinating matches from the William Hill Premiership on the way.
00:44Scott Allen and Michael Stewart have made it through the storm to tell the tale.
00:48Even more windswept and interesting than usual.
00:51Motherwell unbeaten in 12 matches in all competitions.
00:55But could they win at Celtic Park, something they hadn't managed in 10 years?
01:25Louis Moe, he's scored already and he's scored again.
01:292-1 Motherwell who are in Dreamland at Celtic Park.
01:37Unbeaten Motherwell face perhaps the ultimate test of their new attractive style.
01:41Though this Celtic team has toiled lately in front of goal,
01:44they are unlikely to go three in a row without scoring.
01:47It's been 16 years since that last happens.
01:50Well Brendan Rodgers brings in Ralston and Sirachi either side of the defence
01:57and McCowan and Hattati into midfield as they seek to avoid
02:00won three games at Celtic Park without a win.
02:03Can they find that spark?
02:07Stephen Welsh can't play against his parent club,
02:09but captain Paul McGinn is back from injury.
02:12Katrumbis for O'Donnell is the other change
02:13after the former's goal last time against Aberdeen.
02:20Mutual respect amongst the managers.
02:28Motherwell 12 games unbeaten at the start of this season.
02:32Lacks there though, allows Iheanaccia to go in,
02:34and there's McGregor.
02:36Crucial save from Callum Wards.
02:40And this is the risk and reward strategy employed by Jens Bertolascoe.
02:44A loose pass immediately creating the opportunity.
02:47Brendan Rodgers searching for solutions to bring the intensity and spark.
02:57And it's been what Celtic have managed for season after season,
03:02and that's a crucial challenge from Liam Scales
03:03because Apostolos Stamatolopoulos was lurking there
03:07and threw on Schmeichel,
03:08but for the intervention of the Irishman.
03:11Tunechti dancing towards the byline and Celtic get the corner.
03:22He's been at the heart of most good things from Celtic this season.
03:26Atate, Iheanaccia creates the space.
03:35Ward to the rescue again.
03:37McGregor.
03:39Handball claim here.
03:40Ward makes the stop twice to deny Ralston and Maeda,
03:43but the referee does point to the spot.
03:45Regan Charles Cook was the guilty man.
03:54Just reaches the arm out away from the body.
03:57And these days that usually means one thing.
03:59It will be Kelechi Iheanaccia to try and end Celtic's two-game goal droughts.
04:08And he does.
04:11Calmly done from the Celtic striker.
04:15And they are up and running at Celtic Park.
04:24Little stutter.
04:25Sends Ward the wrong way.
04:29And Kelechi Iheanaccia with his third Celtic goal.
04:40Gordon.
04:43Brilliant ball for Saeed.
04:46He's galloping forward here.
04:48Slides the pass for Maswanese.
04:51Here is Maswanese.
04:53And Schmeichel has to bail out Marcelo Sorachi,
04:56who got caught there,
04:59was in the position to defend.
05:02And then seemed to lose his footing at the crucial moment.
05:05Atate goes down under the challenge of Faddinger.
05:12Didn't look an awful lot in it.
05:14Saeeds.
05:17Motherwell.
05:19Looking to build on a really solid league start.
05:23Six games unbeaten, five draws in the win against Aberdeen last week.
05:27Behind in the first half here.
05:33But there have been bright moments from the Steelmen.
05:36And here's a chance for another one.
05:38Longello.
05:39Cuts on to the right foot.
05:42McGregor.
05:43Half clears.
05:44Only as far as Saeed.
05:48Now it's Maswanese.
05:49So often a danger man for Motherwell.
05:51Low cross.
05:51Stamatolopoulos with a header.
05:54And Motherwell do hit back.
06:04And the groans reappear around Celtic Park,
06:07apart from a tiny pocket of Motherwell fans in the away end,
06:10who are going berserk for this goal.
06:14Superb cross from Maswanese.
06:16And Stamatolopoulos times his run to perfection
06:19to get between Scales and Carter Vickers.
06:23And Motherwell are back on level terms at Celtic Park.
06:29That's two and two now for the Australian.
06:38Celtic Park growing restless.
06:41Maeda.
06:42Hattate returns it to his compatriot.
06:49And Liam Gordon
06:50with a crucial
06:52interception there
06:54with Ian Acho lurking.
07:01Charles Cook
07:02collides
07:03with his man there, McGregor,
07:06trying to get Celtic up the pitch.
07:09Brilliant challenge from Faddinger.
07:10Motherwell probing.
07:16Longuello.
07:18Oh, and he's in here.
07:19Pulls it back for Maswanese
07:20who hits the turf.
07:23And the goal kick is given.
07:26Not too much protest
07:27from Talanda Maswanese.
07:29It's a good play from Motherwell down the left-hand side.
07:36Well, Marcelo Serrachi does seem to catch
07:39the Motherwell winger there.
07:42And this is going to be checked.
07:43Well, Gavin Duncan has brought the referee,
07:48Callum Scott, over to the monitor.
07:50And he stands on his foot there.
07:51You can see it clearly.
07:53And this is going to be given here.
07:54Motherwell penalty.
07:55And what a golden opportunity
07:59for Jens Bertolascoe's side
08:02to hit the front in the second half.
08:04It is Stamatopoulos.
08:06Brilliant penalty.
08:09And Motherwell's dream start to the season
08:12could be about to get even better.
08:15A decade since they last beat Celtic.
08:20Now they lead.
08:21Stamatopoulos with two.
08:24And it is Celtic one, Motherwell two.
08:28He's on fire.
08:31Brendan Rodgers with so much to think about.
08:36Serrachi trying to redeem himself here.
08:41Sends the cross in.
08:42Oh, it's come off the crossbar.
08:43And it's Negrin.
08:46Huge chance.
08:48And he knows it.
08:51A substitute should bring Celtic back level here.
08:55Touch of fortune.
08:57And then it comes off the crossbar.
08:58But the goal is gaping.
09:01Negrin.
09:03Engels.
09:05Rolston.
09:07Tierney's head are Negrin on the turn.
09:12Important stop from Callum Ward.
09:15The Motherwell manager said before the game.
09:18They would need to count on him in big moments.
09:20And he's come up with one here, Ward.
09:27Motherwell playing out as they like to do.
09:29Faddinger.
09:30And Ward's giving it straight to Negrin.
09:33And Ward's giving it straight to Negrin.
09:33Oh, my words.
09:35It is catastrophic for Motherwell.
09:38Who have just handed Celtic and Benjamin Negrin the equaliser.
09:42It is sheer relief around Celtic Park.
09:46And the frustration for Motherwell is Celtic have not had to work hard for that equaliser.
09:51Ward gives it straight to the Swedes.
09:54Who sweeps it home this time.
09:57Celtic to Motherwell to.
09:58Corner.
10:07Motherwell just about get that away in the energy since the equaliser at Celtic Park has changed drastically.
10:14McGregor.
10:16McGregor.
10:18Engels.
10:20Oh, he's found Baliquisha.
10:21Who slides it across for Maida.
10:23Well, he's been a shadow of himself, Dyson Maida, this season.
10:33But he produces another magic Celtic moment to probably win this game.
10:42Deft pass from Engels.
10:44Ball into a dangerous area from Baliquisha.
10:47And Maida stoops to do the rest.
10:51And Celtic have won it.
10:53They've been made to work by Motherwell.
10:55But crucially, they nudge back closer to Hearts at the top of the Premiership.
10:59Thanks to that man, Dyson Maida.
11:01Full-time Celtic 3, Motherwell 2.
11:05Clearly it was a very important win for us.
11:09I think the players showed an unbelievable amount of heart, grit and determination.
11:14But on the pitch, to win games of football is what makes the supporters happy.
11:19And we're nowhere near our level.
11:21I can be clear on that.
11:23In terms of where I would want us to be as a football team, it's nowhere near that level.
11:30However, whilst you're searching for it and looking to grow and settle players in, it's important that you win.
11:37Today, I think we showed up.
11:40We tried to do it our way and we gave it our best shot.
11:45It was a moment of maybe bad decision-making, which comes now and then.
11:48Then Celtic had the opportunity.
11:50Obviously, it's gutting that it comes in a game like this where you have a lead.
11:53If you see the big picture, I think you can see that there's a lot to win from doing what we're doing.
12:03And the players are developing really, really well.
12:05A sickening end to this match for Motherwell.
12:09Celtic's still not at their best, but they get the three points.
12:13Scott Allen.
12:14Celtic had failed to score in their two previous matches going into this one.
12:18They would get a helping hand, obviously, on their way to breaking the deadlock.
12:22The right decision?
12:24Yeah, I think for me, you can see.
12:25I think when you go, I think it's Charles Regan, Cook, when you go out to throw your body like that.
12:29And at the same time, it's what you would want from a player when the ball does.
12:33Obviously, a land at the edge of your box, you want to go out and attack it.
12:35He's then out of control.
12:36You obviously see the hand in there and ultimately Celtic are rewarded the penalty.
12:41Michael Stewart, we can't have you here with a controversial handball and not get your verdict.
12:45Yeah, well, to be honest, I don't think this is particularly controversial.
12:47I think it's pretty clear cut.
12:49Yeah.
12:50It's understandable, as Scott's talking about there, you know, Regan, Charles, Cook's just desperately trying to get out to make the block.
12:55But as he actually jumps there, his right arm's already, you know, quite far out from his body.
13:02And there's no doubt it hits off his arm and he's inside the box.
13:04So I think, you know, the penalty was the correct decision.
13:06And, you know, with another calm and composed finish from Celtic, and you're thinking at that point, you know, perhaps, you know, fortunate that they get a penalty, you know, to get the first goal.
13:17And maybe they would, I don't mean it was a fortunate penalty, I'm just meaning they get a set piece, so to speak.
13:23It's a spot kick, it gets the deadlock broken and maybe they would find, you know, a way into the game.
13:28But, you know, I've got to be honest, that's not how it panned out at all.
13:31And fair play to Motherwell, because they were the side that controlled big chunks of the game.
13:35They were popping it about, they were spreading Celtic, they were really extending their defensive backline and creating opportunities.
13:43They were very, very impressive, Motherwell.
13:45Michael, so right at that point, Scott, and it was a fascinating game to watch, wasn't it?
13:48Because Jens Bertel Ascu had talked about going to Celtic Park to win, they've been playing a fantastic brand of football.
13:54And you could see that in terms of the equaliser as well, it was a wonderful goal.
13:58Yeah, and I think that's what we all love about this Motherwell team and what Ascu has brought to them.
14:02There's a real bravery about them.
14:04Obviously, they press really well, so Luke McCown, I think, is quite loose with the ball.
14:08But ultimately, when it lands at the edge of the box, I think that's his side here, shows great composure, stays on the ball, works its way out to Masmanisi.
14:15And just here, for me, I think Scales has got to drop just as he's about to cross it, because he gives Masmanisi a great bit of space there to hit.
14:22And Stamatolopoulos, obviously, happily oblige, it was a fantastic finish.
14:26You can see just for that split second when Stamatolopoulos gets in between Carter Vickers and Scales, Carter Vickers is still looking towards the edge of the box.
14:33And the timing of the run is perfect. It's a really, really smart finish as well.
14:37But the overall, the goal, it all comes from probably about 10 seconds before that, Motherwell are on the attack.
14:44The ball goes back to Schmeichel, but they don't stand off.
14:47They're instantly going and pressurising the back line.
14:51They play a couple of short passes, but because when you see the clip coming in, Motherwell have already got five players up the park.
14:56And it comes from that loose pass from Luke McCown, and they're able to capitalise on it because they're aggressively pressing.
15:01And that's something, obviously, you would see a lot on the, you know, the shoe being on the other foot for Celtic, going and chasing the opposition.
15:09Motherwell did it to Celtic there, and they got the just rewards for it. It was a very, very good goal.
15:14We saw before the match, Ed, obviously, Michael, the fact that Motherwell hadn't won at Celtic Park in 10 years.
15:18It did look like history might be about to happen.
15:21I remember that game.
15:23Of course, you were playing for Celtic that day, Scott.
15:25Yeah, I remember that game. It wasn't a good one.
15:28We won't delve into it too deeply on that basis.
15:31But, yeah, no doubt about the penalty award.
15:33Interesting, the reaction from Tawanda Maswanisi.
15:36Yeah, because, you know, when we watched it in real time, you know, you're thinking to yourself, yeah, it does look like there's a bit of contact.
15:41But I thought Maswanisi was almost a bit apologetic when you see the clip coming close up here.
15:48He just looks a little bit, you're saying, you know, as if, sorry, you know, there was nothing there.
15:51But clearly there was, you know, he gets his foot caught and then clips his own heels because of that.
15:56But, yeah, it's a penalty kick.
15:57It was the right decision.
15:59It was very, very good play again from Motherwell.
16:01Plenty of bodies getting forward.
16:02They've got that pacing attack.
16:04Longolo down the left-hand side getting in behind.
16:06Maswanisi being quick to react.
16:08And the right decision was finally given.
16:12And Stamatolopoulos steps up and puts them 2-1 in front.
16:15And at this point, you've got to say, it was deserved.
16:18Motherwell deservedly had the lead.
16:20And for a good chunk after that, you've got to say, up until probably they gave Celtic the second goal, the equaliser, Motherwell looked, like, very good for three points.
16:30So much praise deserves to be given to Motherwell for the style of football.
16:34But in the end, it was their undoing today, Scott.
16:37A moment of bad decision-making is what the manager described it as.
16:40Can I just jump in there?
16:41And I think it's a fair point you make there in terms of, you know, I think the perception is that it's their undoing.
16:47It's not.
16:48And the manager's spot on.
16:49It's not because they're playing football that they've conceded.
16:52It's the decision-making.
16:54If the goalkeeper Ward thumps the ball at the park at that point, nobody's talking about, oh, Motherwell ought to stop playing football.
17:01It's decision-making.
17:02You can continue to play football, and that's the way Motherwell did.
17:05But in that moment, it's decision-making.
17:08That's all it was.
17:09He just needed to clear his lines rather than continue to pop it.
17:11Absolutely fair point.
17:12But it's a moment that Callum Ward will not want to look back at.
17:15Right now, in fact.
17:16Yeah, I agree with Michael.
17:17I think at that point, Motherwell were really comfy in the game.
17:21For me, Callum Ward, I think if you see the set-up here, Celtic end up 5-for-5 in the box.
17:27And to outplay that, especially at Celtic Park, is very difficult.
17:29So once it goes back from your centre-mid, back-to-ward, there's no option.
17:33You've just got to go along with it and then deal with the set-up after it.
17:37Yeah.
17:37But ultimately, that was a huge turning point in the game.
17:40And once Celtic obviously get back with Negan, it's a really tidy finish.
17:44He does put it away really well.
17:45But that was a turning point in Celtic with their tails up.
17:48It's got to do with the Motherwell team.
17:49Of course.
17:50Absolutely.
17:51And look, Brendan Rodgers talking after the game.
17:55I mean, that's a great header.
17:56We saw Stamatolopoulos with a stooping header as well.
18:00And it's the same from Maeda.
18:01You can see he just recognises the gap in the back line.
18:05He bursts in there.
18:06Nice pass from Engels.
18:08Again, good balling from Balakwisha and a really nice finish from Maeda.
18:12But at that point, after 2-2, credit to Celtic.
18:16They were the ones that were in the ascendancy.
18:17But you do feel that second or the equaliser was the turning point in the game.
18:21Because had it not happened, the longer it went 2-1,
18:24I think the more confident Motherwell would have grown in the game
18:27that they were going to get three points.
18:28As soon as it went 2-2, you just got a slight sense of inevitability there.
18:33Celtic get the job done.
18:35Next, the Falkirk versus Rangers.
18:37The Falkirk Stadium, not a happy hunting ground for Rangers
18:40the last time they were there, back in 2016.
18:43So soon your time will come
18:47Get out while you're still young
18:51May all your dreams come true
18:54It's Tavernier into Miller
18:56So soon your time will come
19:02It's Alston
19:03Oh, that's a cracker
19:05It's a good ball in, there's Bob McHugh
19:15And Falkirk have won it
19:17It's stoppage time
19:19Rangers take their troubled season to Falkirk
19:25A first top flight visit here since December 09, when a Chris Boyd double and one from Kenny Miller sealed a 3-1 victory.
19:32How the Rangers supporters pine for those days.
19:36Another defeat came their way on Thursday and Graz with their Europa League campaign going about as well as their domestic one.
19:42Domestic one Falkirk themselves could do with a bit of positivity.
19:48Firmly put in their place at Hearts last weekend, they have just one win in seven.
19:53John McGlynn brings Lewis Nielsen back in, having been ineligible to face his parent club last Saturday, with Cairo Wilson getting his first start with his cameo at Petaudry, his only appearance so far before today, for he happened to score the winning goal.
20:08Out go Lisa and Cartwright.
20:12Four alterations from Graz for Rangers, out go Meghoma, Ant-Man, Oskar and Shermiti, with Giga, Muir, Rothwell and Miofsky replacing them.
20:21Cornelius, who was named in the Canada squad for their friendlies this month, moving to left back.
20:35That's going right over the top for Muir, might have an opportunity here, Mikey Muir, Bain spills it and Gassama on the rebound, but it's not going to count.
20:45David McGeehy's flag up on the mainstand side.
20:55Gassama got the goal in Austria that gave Rangers hope from 2-0 down.
21:01It's Muir who's offside.
21:04That was a good touch to take him into a decent position.
21:07Gassama may well have been off as well when Muir hit the initial shot.
21:11The offside confirmed.
21:15Over the top from Cornelius for Gassama, he's going to get there.
21:28Adam's trying to stick with him.
21:30Back to James Tavernier.
21:34Soft target in the end.
21:36As captain tries to get.
21:38Rangers going again.
21:39What a great touch by Joe Rothwell, he's put his team under pressure again here.
21:53Brad Spencer.
21:55Wilson.
21:57Brilliant play!
21:59Point black from Butland and Wilson wide!
22:01That's a huge chance.
22:05No matter how poorly Rangers are doing, you've got to take your opportunities against them.
22:13McKeever kept out by Butland and then Wilson on the follow-up.
22:17He might have a go himself there, he tried to tee up McKeever.
22:21The pace of the game has just slowed down recently.
22:37An awkward bobble for Raskan.
22:40They are!
22:41Fabulous hit by Williams.
22:46Did you see this bobbling off the shin of Raskan?
22:50Williams fired for that bottom right corner.
22:56Good effort.
22:57Good effort.
22:58Good effort.
22:59Good effort.
23:00Good effort.
23:01Good effort.
23:02Good effort.
23:04Good effort.
23:05Cornelius.
23:07Flip forward to Rothwell.
23:09Cornelius across!
23:14And Boyan Majofsky opens the scoring with his first lead goal for Rangers.
23:22Well Folkirk had been the better side in the opening half hour.
23:25But it is Rangers who make the breakthrough here.
23:32Great work by Derek Cornelius throughout that whole move.
23:36And Majofsky was there to touch it home at the back post.
23:44Will still make Russell Martin feel a little bit better about things.
23:48He's still being berated by the Rangers supporters.
23:52Here fell but Murphy McDermott allowing the advantage here.
24:11He's swung across as Miller's header.
24:13That's better from Folkirk.
24:18And the sub Aguiman.
24:20Over on the far side.
24:22He got himself a free kick earlier in the move.
24:25He's got his cross end.
24:26He's got his cross end.
24:27He's got his cross end.
24:28The header down and wide.
24:30Well Ross McKeever might be annoyed he's not hit target here.
24:31Albeit he's coming through a rock of bodies.
24:32Goal right in front of him.
24:33He's got his cross end.
24:34He's got his cross end.
24:35He's got his cross end.
24:36He's got his cross end.
24:37He's got his cross end.
24:38He's got his cross end.
24:39He's got his cross end.
24:40The header down and wide.
24:41Well Ross McKeever might be annoyed he's not hit target here.
24:56Albeit he's coming through a rock of bodies.
24:58Goal right in front of him.
25:00Another opportunity for Folkirk.
25:03Miller.
25:14Trouble.
25:16Here's Cartwright.
25:18Can have a pop here.
25:20Oh wow what a goal it is.
25:28Top drawer from Henry Cartwright.
25:31McLean applauds as do the Folkirk supporters.
25:36That is an absolute howitzer.
25:39The man on loan from Leicester City.
25:44Squares the game.
25:46In the most spectacular style.
25:49It has taken a little deflection when you see the replay.
25:54And that's what's deceived Butland in the end.
25:58But the long and the short of it is.
26:05That the score line is now Folkirk one.
26:09Rangers one.
26:10The problems continue to mount for Russell Martin.
26:15But you would have to say Folkirk deserved to be all square.
26:21At least.
26:22It comes towards Brian Graham.
26:34Butland holds on.
26:36The old time arc.
26:40Brian Graham.
26:43A chapter in his career that would have been.
26:45The veteran.
26:46He's exactly where he wants to be.
26:50Good stop by Butland in the end.
26:53Kusama losing out to Arfield.
27:03The final whistle will prevent Folkirk going up the pitch to find a winner.
27:08But how many more of these is Russell Martin going to be afforded?
27:11And Cartwright's equaliser cancelling out Mijovski's opener.
27:17Has left Rangers without a victory.
27:21For the sixth time in seven league games.
27:24As the Rangers board look on glum faced as well they might.
27:32And now they may well have a big decision to make.
27:38They finished at the Folkirk Stadium.
27:40Folkirk won.
27:41Rangers won.
27:43I think we were the more likely team in the first half.
27:46We could easily have got at least one goal out of that.
27:49And I think even towards the end Brian Graham had a good chance.
27:52Ross had a header.
27:53Maybe he should do better.
27:55So we were knocking on the door all day.
27:57I think it was a very up and at you performance on the front foot.
28:01Playing forward.
28:02Creating opportunities.
28:03I thought the two wingers started the game really, really well.
28:05Carrier Wilson on one side.
28:06Carver on the other side.
28:07They were delivering crosses into the box.
28:10Sometimes we got something on the end there.
28:12Didn't quite get the goal.
28:13Sometimes we didn't.
28:14Some good defending by the Rangers.
28:17So all in all.
28:19Maybe we could have and maybe we should have took all three points.
28:22The result's frustrating.
28:23We had to weather the storm the first 20 minutes.
28:25Difficult conditions.
28:26Difficult pitch.
28:27I thought we defended the box really well.
28:28Threw bodies at it.
28:29And then we grew into the game.
28:31Scored a really good goal.
28:32Then we have to go and try and score the second.
28:34But actually as the game grew on I felt like we were more and more comfortable in it.
28:38And looked likely to score a second.
28:40Because they didn't have any opportunities until that point in the second half really.
28:43And then we conceded a goal at nothing where we don't compete properly.
28:46And then we have to chase the tail again and it becomes an open game.
28:51We're trying to score so we have to leave space open.
28:54That's happened too many times this season.
28:55So that's frustrating.
28:56So yeah, disappointing not to win.
28:58How much more time do you need to get the wins that you're looking for?
29:02And do you think you'll get it?
29:04Do you think you've got the backing above you to give you the time that you want?
29:07It's really difficult when you guys ask this question because ultimately it's not in my control.
29:11So what I can control is we need to win more football matches.
29:14We need to work harder than we are right now to try and achieve that.
29:17And that's it.
29:19And there were chaotic scenes after the final whistle as angry Rangers fans surrounded the Rangers coach
29:27preventing the players and Russell Martin from getting on it.
29:32They had to come up with an alternative arrangement.
29:35Moving the coach partially into the stadium for the players to get on board.
29:41But alternative transport was made for the Rangers manager Russell Martin.
29:47And as you can see, he was eventually given a police escort from the stadium.
29:54Michael Stewart, when you take everything into account here,
29:59do you see Russell Martin still being imposed after the international break?
30:06Well, I mean, to be perfectly honest, Jonathan, I think, you know,
30:10sort of normal circumstances and assessments have gone out the window long ago
30:16when it comes to the Rangers and Russell Martin because it's clear that, you know,
30:22it's not getting any better and that it's really pretty much just delaying the inevitable.
30:27But by all accounts, it seems like, you know, the board are, you know,
30:31they're not pressing the ejector button and it seems like they're hanging on there.
30:36So I would say under normal circumstances, you know, be very surprised for him still to be in position.
30:44And the international break coming up here, you would think that it's a gap, a window that they would maybe look to make a change.
30:50But for all the reasons I've just explained, I still wouldn't be surprised if he was in charge after the international break either.
30:57It's really bizarre and I think unprecedented sort of times.
31:01And when you look at those pictures of the manager being escorted and almost smuggled out of the stadium.
31:06Yeah.
31:07It's not a good look.
31:08Now, for whatever reason that he's going out in the car, I still think he should be leading and on the bus with his players.
31:17There may be other, you know, arrangements or he might have engagements that he needs to go to.
31:21I get all that.
31:22But still, the optics aren't great.
31:24You are not on the bus with the team.
31:27You're the leader, you're the manager, you're the captain of the ship, the tanker.
31:31You should be on there and you should be leading, not getting smuggled out in a car.
31:36Russell Martin, Scott, trying to send out the message that he thinks things at Rangers are improving a lot, is what he says.
31:44When you judge the first half, especially how dominant Falkirk were, what's your take on that?
31:50I felt first half Rangers were second best in all aspects of the game.
31:54Whether that was competing, the duels, asking questions of each other's defences, shots and target, all of it.
32:01For me, Rangers, obviously, Cornelius coming in at that left back position.
32:05And ultimately, yes, he did have a hand with a fantastic assist in the first half.
32:09But he just didn't look comfortable in that area whenever someone was running at him.
32:12He was giving them the space inside to create.
32:14And Falkirk just, for me, were superior in the first half.
32:18Thought they were excellent.
32:19Keelan Adams getting down that side was a constant threat.
32:21And Rangers just couldn't get to grips with it.
32:23And the amount of times a Rangers player came off second best, whether that was a first or second ball was incredible for me.
32:29You know, when you listen to the manager's assessment of the game, it really sort of beggars belief, you know, as to what it is that he's been watching.
32:37I thought, you know, for him to come out and say that Falkirk didn't look like scoring, apart from a deflection, I think that's a little bit disrespectful.
32:45They were the better team, Falkirk there.
32:47You know, they're the ones that had 14 shots to the Rangers 11.
32:50They had four shots on target.
32:52Rangers only had two.
32:53Their expected goals was higher than Rangers as well.
32:56So whatever metric you use, Falkirk looked like far more of a threat than Rangers did.
33:00And you also have your two eyes.
33:02And you can see quite clearly that Rangers defensively, they're not open at the end because they're chasing the game.
33:08In the first half an hour, first half, Falkirk got in behind them so many times.
33:13Down the wings, in behind them.
33:15Yeah.
33:16It looked like every attack Falkirk were potentially going to be testing Jack Butland.
33:19Rangers have only got two teams in the league that have scored fewer than them.
33:22And we also can clearly see the issues they've got defensively as well.
33:25There is not one aspect of Rangers' team that looks like it's functioning properly here.
33:30And it doesn't matter what the manager says, everybody can see it.
33:33This is a case of the Emperor has no clothes on.
33:35Like, it really is quite apparent.
33:38They are in a really bad place.
33:40And as you mentioned, Scott, it was strange to see centre-back Derek Cornelius playing at left-back.
33:47Obviously there were issues in terms of how that all worked, in terms of Falkirk creating chances.
33:51But to his credit, he was obviously pivotal in terms of Rangers actually going in at the break 1-0 in front.
33:57Yeah, just before I get, I think that's the indictment of where Rangers' recruitment was in the summer.
34:01The fact that he's playing in that left-back position.
34:04I think you see here, obviously, yes, he gets forward.
34:06I think Wilson's got to track him.
34:07But it's a fantastic pass.
34:08Some will say a cross.
34:09I would say that's a pass.
34:10A great pick-out.
34:11And we offer you, obviously, in the six-yard box when he tucks it home.
34:15But in terms of Rangers' attacking play, I think that was as good as it got for them in the first half.
34:20And Falkirk probably felt themselves very unfortunate to be a goal down at half-time.
34:24Good goal.
34:25There's no getting away from that.
34:26But when you're in such slim pick-ins, I suppose they have to accentuate the positives there.
34:32But that is a good goal from Rangers' perspective.
34:34Sure.
34:35But it's few and far between in terms of openings and opportunities that are created.
34:39Not as good a goal as Henry Cartwright's.
34:42Well, yeah.
34:43I mean, that's a very, very good strike.
34:44And granted, obviously, that does take a slight nick off of John Suter's thigh.
34:48And it's probably quite an important nick as well.
34:50But look at that.
34:51The desire, the determination to get in there.
34:53And then he's got his eyes lighting up, thinking an opportunity to go and have a strike.
34:57As I said, it is a slight nick.
34:59But I do think it's quite important because there's a little bit of a bend on the ball.
35:02And I think it probably would have been going close enough to Jack Burton for him to at least be attempting to get to it.
35:09But that was no more than Falkirk deserved, really.
35:14They really, really were worthy of at least a point there.
35:17Just a point there on Connor Barron.
35:19You talk about having desire and wanting to get close to people with tracks.
35:22The runner of Brad Spence.
35:24And then the ball, I think it goes to Cartwright.
35:26He's the guy now pressing to try and get a block in the shot.
35:28And I think that's just where Rangers are in terms of that middle of the park area.
35:32Guys who really want to close down, really want to stop Rangers conceding goals.
35:35And he's the guy pressing two guys at the same time.
35:38So I think he was the only one for me.
35:40He had real pass marks today.
35:41All the talk is about Rangers for obvious reasons.
35:44But how much credit do Falkirk deserve from today's showing for you, Scott?
35:47Yeah, I felt they were brave.
35:49They obviously pressed on the front foot.
35:51Listen, they know that Rangers in terms of mentality-wise aren't in a good place.
35:54I felt they could ask them questions.
35:56They certainly have done that the first half of the amount of cross balls they put in the box.
35:59But I feel if you were John McGlynn, you would be a wee bit disappointed coming away from a point today.
36:04But for me, I thought it was an excellent performance.
36:06OK.
36:07Next to Aberdeen's seemingly never-ending quest to score a goal in the Premiership this season.
36:13Dundee, the visitors at Pataudry commentary comes from Andrew Petrie.
36:19It's been 21 long years since Dundee last won at Pataudry in the league.
36:24But perhaps there is no better time than the present.
36:27Aberdeen are still without a win in this league season and still incredibly without a goal.
36:33Jimmy Tillin rings the changes from Thursday night's game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
36:38Alexander Jensen and Emmanuel Giamfey come in as wing-backs.
36:40Graeme Shinney is in the midfield.
36:42Adil Awashish and Kevin Nisbet come in.
36:44Just two changes for Dundee from the one they lost to St Mirren.
36:47Jan Danda returns from suspension.
36:49And skipper Simon Murray starts up top and a huge boost for Steven Presley's side.
36:54Two managers under pressure who can relieve it this afternoon.
36:57This is Armstrong.
37:01And the edge of the box tries to fire it to Carlsen.
37:06It comes across Giamfey keeping it alive.
37:08And John McCracken down to hold.
37:11A bit harem-scare-em at the back there for Dundee.
37:15It looked like the chance had gone from Carlsen,
37:17but he somehow got the ball across to Giamfey.
37:21But he couldn't get a clean connection.
37:27Shinney chasing.
37:28Clark Robertson clears away.
37:30Of course, a former Aberdeen youth player.
37:33As Milne pings one over the top for Carlsen.
37:36Lovely touch.
37:37And another.
37:38He lays it off for Nisbet.
37:39And it's cleared off the line.
37:41But when you've not scored a league goal in six games,
37:46those kind of things just don't go your way.
37:50Aberdeen coming closer and closer to opening the scoring.
37:53That was brilliant from Carlsen.
37:55But Astley back on the line to deny Aberdeen.
38:04Armstrong dropping deep to try and deliver.
38:08Straight through the middle.
38:09Again, a lovely touch from Carlsen.
38:11And again, he's worked it onto the left foot.
38:14Straight at John McCracken.
38:16But what a start Jesper Carlsen has made to this game.
38:21He looks really exciting.
38:23That's a lovely little cut back onto his left.
38:25But didn't quite have the accuracy.
38:29Curled into the middle.
38:30Congreve.
38:31A shout for hand ball as the Dundee winger tries to clear away.
38:38And in fact, Don Robertson is going to go across to the screen
38:41to have a look at this.
38:43There was a strong appeal from the Aberdeen players
38:46and the fans behind that goal.
38:50Let's have another look at it now.
38:53Oh, that does look to strike the forearm of Cameron Congreve
38:59with no Aberdeen players around him.
39:01The ball going away from goal.
39:03It's not a decision he had to make, but it will be punished.
39:07And Aberdeen will have the chance from the spot
39:10to get this monkey off their back to break the duck.
39:14Jesper Carlsen, who scored from the spot against Shakhtar Donetsk
39:20on Thursday night in the Conference League.
39:22Can he do it in the Premiership?
39:24Yes, he can.
39:26He fires it under John McCracken.
39:30And Aberdeen have scored in the Premiership for the first time this season.
39:34And could the goalkeeper do better there?
39:37Dandup curls in, Jack Milne with the header.
39:42It was an important one.
39:44Astley back in, it drops back to him.
39:46Well, he caught that.
39:48But so did Dimitar Mitov.
39:50It was straight at the Bulgarian.
39:53Anywhere else.
39:54And that could have been an instant response from Dundee.
40:01The visitors trying to play it out from the back now.
40:03Samuels into Danda.
40:05Into Danda.
40:06It's a poor touch.
40:07And Armstrong picks his pocket.
40:08Nisbet doesn't shoot.
40:09Lays it off instead.
40:10Awashish in there.
40:12It's a bit of a scramble.
40:13And the ball's gone in!
40:16Adil Awashish puts Aberdeen 2-0 up.
40:22They've waited so long for a goal.
40:25It was 690 minutes this season without one.
40:30And just a couple in the first half.
40:32They've found two already.
40:34This one.
40:35As scrappy as it gets.
40:37A bit of a stramash.
40:38And now Ashish.
40:40On the deck.
40:42Just sticks out a leg.
40:43And pokes the ball towards the bottom corner.
40:46That doesn't matter how they go in sometimes.
40:53Picked up by Guamfi.
40:55Striding forward.
40:56And Stuart Armstrong's made the run.
40:58It's a lovely lobbed ball over to Armstrong.
41:01Who picks out Guamfi in the middle.
41:03That's 3-0.
41:07Aberdeen can't stop scoring.
41:10How long has it been since we've said that?
41:14Emmanuel Guamfi with his first goal for the club.
41:17And it's a 1-2 in the end with Stuart Armstrong picking him out at the front post.
41:26He sticks his weaker right foot out.
41:28And just tucks it in to the bottom corner with the aid of the back post as well.
41:33Carlsen over it.
41:37Can this first half get any better for Aberdeen?
41:42Carlsen delivers.
41:43It's nodded on.
41:44Good save.
41:45McCracken.
41:46Milne puts it in.
41:48And he looks across to the linesman.
41:49It's going to be ruled out.
41:51Milne is offside in the first instance but it's Nisbet with the header.
41:58Is he offside in the second?
42:00Does he use his arm to guide the ball into the net?
42:04Either way it's been chalked off.
42:07And there's the confirmation.
42:09He is offside from the header.
42:13It's not been the first half Steven Presley would have wanted.
42:18Shinney cuts out.
42:20Aberdeen flowing forward again.
42:22They're cutting Dundee to shreds at the moment.
42:25Shinney to Armstrong on the edge.
42:27He takes a touch and it's blocked behind.
42:31Could Stuart Armstrong have hit that first time?
42:33Could this so easily be 4-0 to Aberdeen by the break?
42:39They have been relentless in this first half.
42:48Lobbed forward towards Marko Lazatic.
42:51He's just come on for Kevin Nisbet.
42:53Lovely touch away from Robertson.
42:55And there is Jesper Carlsen.
42:57He's forced a little wide.
43:00Oh, that's a lovely shimmy.
43:01And a lovely shot!
43:02Jesper Carlsen.
43:08Makes it 4-0 to Aberdeen.
43:12With a bit of magic.
43:17Well, Jimmy Tillin's not cracking a smile,
43:19but that'll get you out your seat.
43:22No matter who you support, that's just unbelievable.
43:26Sublime from the Swedes.
43:29Look at that footwork.
43:30Not a bad finish either.
43:34Not sure about the celebration though.
43:40It's been the afternoon of Jimmy Tillin's dreams so far.
43:44What a way to respond to all the criticism and pressure they've faced this season.
43:48They have to defend here.
43:50Emil Acqua.
43:52With a stinging drive.
43:53It would have been a magnificent goal, but a consolation goal nonetheless.
44:00Just how close was it from the big number nine?
44:02Oh, it wasn't far away.
44:04And there is the full-time whistle.
44:05Averdine have their first win in the Premiership this season.
44:14They'll remain 12th, but they're only two points off Dundee.
44:18A magnificent Aberdeen performance.
44:21And magnificent from that man, Carlsen.
44:23It finishes Aberdeen 4, Dundee 0.
44:28We saw some signs against Shakhtar on Thursday night.
44:33And also the connection between the team and the fans started growing.
44:37And the energy was back.
44:39And today again, I think we start the game really well.
44:42And the connection with the fans was there.
44:44Because they see that the players put effort into the pitch.
44:47And trying really, really hard.
44:48So that's how we grow stronger and also get the result today.
44:52A really disappointing afternoon.
44:54My thoughts are that it certainly wasn't for a lack of effort from the players.
44:59I thought they ran hard.
45:01They worked extremely hard out of possession.
45:05But we just didn't get things right.
45:07And that's on me.
45:08You know, the distances weren't right.
45:09We jumped to press at the wrong time.
45:12And opened ourselves up.
45:14And at times the gaps between us were enormous.
45:17And Aberdeen exploited that.
45:19And ultimately, you know, as a manager, I'm responsible for that.
45:23The Dons Dam is finally burst.
45:26Dundee, the victims at Pataudry today.
45:29And Scott Allen.
45:30Aberdeen were sublime.
45:32The Pataudry faithful would have absolutely loved that today.
45:35They've been hard-suffering for a while.
45:37Yeah, they have been.
45:38Listen, I think they took massive confidence in the Shakhtar game,
45:40obviously getting their goals.
45:41And today, once you obviously get that penalty,
45:43I think it just took the nerves away.
45:44And after the penalty, I think it's called Congreve here,
45:47gets caught with the handball.
45:49For me.
45:50Listen, it's a clear handball.
45:51And Carlsen, obviously, who took one away on Thursday night.
45:55Better get Michael's verdict as well.
45:56Like it?
45:57I get it.
45:58It's not a controversial one, I think.
46:00They're two pretty straightforward penalties, Jonathan.
46:03Yep.
46:04And Carlsen doing it once again for the penalty spot like he did midweek.
46:07Michael, you were there as well.
46:08Were the green shoots in evidence for this sort of performance midweek?
46:12Yeah, they were.
46:13They were.
46:14I mean, not in terms of obviously the attack and prowess that they've showed here today
46:19because Shakhtar were a very good side.
46:23But the desire, the determination, the will to, you know, work their backsides off
46:29and try and get something from the game.
46:31And they almost did Aberdeen.
46:33Fantastic ball, that from Schoenheim.
46:34It's an absolutely brilliant ball.
46:35But, you know, you look at the situation that Hibs found himself in last season.
46:41And the game against Aberdeen, 3-3, chaotic.
46:46And it seemed like it was the catalyst for Hibs last season.
46:50I bring that up because I'm trying to compare and contrast, obviously,
46:54how Aberdeen have found themselves at the start of this season.
46:57I look at that Shakhtar game and as much as obviously they've come away with a defeat,
47:01they were against top opposition, but they showed a real desire.
47:05And now, the game here today against Dundee, you start to see some of the quality,
47:10Carlsen in particular, coming to the fore.
47:12Stuart Armstrong there as well, who's always been a quality player.
47:15As Scott was talking about, great ball through for Jamfie.
47:18And the change of system, the same things as, you know, Hibs.
47:22It got to the stage where you felt like they had to change something,
47:25almost just for change sake, to try and initiate something.
47:28And it's brought them a little bit more stability at the back.
47:30I'm not 100% sure that it's the right balance for all of the forward players,
47:34but at the moment, it's got them into a position where they're feeling a bit better about themselves
47:39and it gives them a bit of time and a bit of momentum.
47:41Yes, Aberdeen looking much more comfortable playing the back three right now, Scott.
47:45In terms of Jesper Carlsen, we saw his goal there at the end, a thing of beauty.
47:49Swedish international, obviously bought for big money by Bologna on loan at Aberdeen
47:54and he does look like he has that extra level of quality, doesn't he?
47:58Yeah, he does obviously coming into Aberdeen at a time where they weren't scoring goals.
48:01I think now you're seeing the fruits of him and Stuart Armstrong obviously getting up to match speed.
48:05You see that second goal today and he has this with a bit of skill and then obviously puts it in the top corner.
48:11But he looks like someone that wants to take the game with a scruff of the neck.
48:14He's going to be that real creative source for Aberdeen, so long may it continue.
48:18Aberdeen remain bottom for the time being, Michael.
48:20Dundee, second bottom of the table.
48:24What can you say about Steven Presley's side today?
48:28Not too many positives.
48:30No.
48:31First and foremost, you see it with your own two eyes.
48:34They were lacking any real intent to get forward or real ability to be able to hurt Aberdeen.
48:41It showed up in the stats there as well.
48:43I think it was 0.22 expected goals.
48:45Now, that's just reaffirming what you could see.
48:48They didn't look like they were going to score today.
48:50And defensively, obviously, they've conceded four goals as well.
48:52And that's the concern I've got with Dundee sometimes.
48:54It feels like they're taking one step forward when you feel that they've got a good result, good performance.
48:59And then they revert back to one where it feels like they've not got an attacking threat and defensively they're looking a bit fragile.
49:06On the whole, that's probably where I'm expecting them at the moment to be, but they need to try and find a bit of a rhythm and a bit of momentum to make sure they don't get caught in a relegation dogfight.
49:19OK, the domestic game takes a little bit of a break for a little while, but there is plenty of football on the way.
49:25Do not worry about that.
49:27HB Koji take on Glasgow City in the Women's Europa League on Wednesday night.
49:32That's 20 past five on BBC Alapa.
49:35And then it's all about Scotland and their quest to try and reach the 2026 World Cup.
49:41Join us on Thursday night from six o'clock on BBC Radio Scotland as the national team take on Greece at Hampden Park.
49:50And we are on the telly.
49:51Half past seven on BBC Scotland.
49:54Do not miss it.
49:55And of course, reaction on BBC Radio Scotland with off the ball at half past ten.
50:01This weekend, Storm Amy did her best, but she couldn't stop the Premiership from happening.
50:07Plenty of good stuff happened on Saturday.
50:09Kilti pokes that one through.
50:10Bruce Anderson's onto it.
50:11Big chance for Kilmarnock, their first of the game.
50:12Shamal George saved.
50:13David Watson's in there.
50:14And Kilmarnock score with their, well technically second shot, but their first real chance.
50:16And it's David Watson who fires in from close range.
50:18Well, St Mirren have dominated possession so far.
50:19Kilmarnock have done very little.
50:20But they've punished that high line.
50:21Stealing the ball in midfield.
50:22And Shamal George just puts that in there.
50:23And it's David Watson who fires in from close range.
50:24Well, St Mirren have dominated possession so far.
50:25Kilmarnock have done very little, but they've punished that high line.
50:27Stealing the ball in midfield.
50:28And Shamal George just puts that back onto a silver plate for David Watson.
50:34who fires in from close range
50:37well St Mirren have dominated possession so far
50:40Kilmarnock have done very little
50:41but they've punished that high line
50:43stealing the ball in midfield
50:45and Shamal George just puts that
50:48back onto a silver plate for David Watson
50:51they're coming forward again here
50:57Bruce Anderson keeps that in
51:00James Brown will cross
51:01Dakers is there
51:02and he powers in the header
51:05to make it 2-0 to the hosts at Rugby Park
51:09and he runs straight over
51:13to the bench to hug Kettlewell
51:16and Stevie Frail as well
51:18it's a good touch from Anderson
51:20and he does well to play in Brown
51:23first time cross
51:24picks out Dakers
51:25and he uses every inch of his 6'7 frame
51:29and finds the top corner
51:30John to the back post
51:33oh that looked to hit an arm
51:35and then there's another appeal
51:38a loud St Mirren appeal for handball
51:40let's have another look here
51:42Richard King with the header
51:44well it does strike the arm or the elbow of Robbie Dees
51:48the follow-up hits David Watson straight in the face
51:51well Nick Walsh and the VAR Andrew Dallas
51:53not interested
51:54is that too close to Robbie Dees for him to move his arm
51:57the slip
52:07sees Livingston through
52:09and Pittman
52:10with the easiest of opportunities
52:12to slide Livingston into the lead
52:15United get it all wrong at the back
52:18Livingston take advantage
52:20and you have to say
52:22the Lions deserve it
52:24all the way through
52:30and Kereshtes
52:31United are level
52:34and it's Christian Kereshtes
52:38with his first Terrors goal
52:39but United
52:42give Jim Goodwin
52:44and the home support
52:45that quick second half start
52:47they were looking for
52:48Ferry takes
52:51it's high
52:53the drops for Stevenson
52:55pushed away by Prior
52:56Chan still there
52:58it's out wide for Sapsford
53:01headed back across
53:04cleared off the line
53:06and that one cleared away
53:11by Mo Silla
53:11off the line
53:13it's scrappy
53:20and it's the Lions
53:22who come out on top
53:23and that one
53:24off the crossbar
53:25Kucherenko
53:28on his heels
53:29what a way to win it
53:31that would have been
53:31from Mohamedou
53:32to Soho
53:33Obita
53:37forwards
53:38Martin Boyle could be in
53:41here
53:41Martin Boyle is in
53:42Martin Boyle off the bar
53:44comes back to Cadden
53:48Malkit gets it
53:50half clear
53:51Obita
53:51and Hart survive
53:53just a couple of inches
53:59too high
54:00he's the radius again
54:03well
54:04Hanley and
54:05Salinger getting in
54:06each other's way
54:07it's going to come to
54:08Shankland
54:09who really should have
54:11done better
54:12good strength from Bowie
54:14as Hemp's trying to
54:16take it to the other end
54:17Boyle
54:18as he beat in the
54:18offside trap
54:19it's Martin Boyle
54:21who sees the flag
54:23go up now
54:24and I think that
54:26is the correct call
54:27let's just double check
54:30just didn't quite
54:31manage to hold the run
54:33as Finlay
54:34stepped up
54:36to the left foot
54:44this time
54:45swings a dangerous
54:45looking ball
54:46in
54:47Craig Halkett
54:49to win the
54:49Edinburgh Derby
54:50in injury time
54:52it's a wicked
54:56ball in
54:57and Craig Halkett
55:02arriving late
55:04at the back post
55:05wonderful finish
55:07what an incredible
55:10weekend
55:11it has been
55:12hearts
55:13are on top
55:14of the William Hill
55:15Premiership
55:15with 19 points
55:17Celtic
55:18in second place
55:19two points
55:19behind on 17
55:21and Kilmarnock
55:22up in third place
55:23right now
55:23on 10 points
55:25Rangers
55:25are down in
55:27eighth position
55:28Aberdeen
55:29getting a big win
55:30today but they are
55:31still bottom
55:32of the table
55:33two points
55:34behind Dundee
55:35Falkirk
55:36and Livingston
55:37and Scott Allen
55:39I know
55:40you used to
55:41play for
55:41Hibbs
55:42but it is
55:43the big
55:43talking point
55:44of the weekend
55:45hearts
55:46last gasp
55:47victory
55:47against the
55:48former side
55:48are you ready
55:49to concede
55:50that hearts
55:50are title
55:51contenders
55:51this season
55:52not yet
55:54no
55:54I think
55:55the runner
55:56form
55:56they have been
55:56outstanding
55:57it is not
55:58the first time
55:58they have scored
55:59a late winner
56:00and obviously
56:01they do it
56:01in the derby
56:02I think
56:02for any
56:02hearts player
56:03and hearts fan
56:04it is the best
56:04way to do it
56:05and I think
56:05they will take
56:05huge confidence
56:06from it
56:06but there was
56:07moments where
56:07Hibbs could have
56:08took the lead
56:09but Martin Boyle
56:10obviously goes
56:11through
56:11comes off the bar
56:12but hearts
56:12just keep pushing
56:13it and it is
56:13a fantastic goal
56:14from a hearts
56:15point of view
56:15in terms of
56:15that finish
56:16from Halkit
56:16obviously we heard
56:17David Gray
56:18speak about
56:18how disappointed
56:19he was
56:19in terms of
56:19defending
56:20but how do you
56:21really need to
56:21start winning
56:22games
56:22hearts
56:22on the other
56:24hand
56:24it is if
56:25they are motoring
56:25Michael it was
56:26a quite incredible
56:27finale
56:27at Pinecastle
56:28yesterday
56:28and I haven't
56:29heard any
56:30pundits really
56:31break rank yet
56:32in terms of
56:32describing hearts
56:33as potential
56:34title
56:35contenders
56:36nobody is
56:38really saying
56:39that hearts
56:39are title
56:40contenders
56:41do you think
56:42that they are
56:42no
56:43because you are
56:44talking about
56:45there are 31
56:45league games to go
56:46I think where
56:47the realistic
56:47debate is that
56:49second place
56:50and when you
56:51look at the fact
56:52that there are
56:5211 points ahead
56:53of Rangers
56:53who you would
56:54regard as
56:54obviously the
56:55second team
56:55are Rangers
56:57going to be
56:57overturning that
56:5811 point lead
56:59that hearts have
56:59got at the
57:00moment
57:00now there was
57:00a similar sort
57:01of gap that
57:01they had with
57:02Aberdeen last
57:02season
57:03Aberdeen fell
57:04away
57:04dramatically
57:05don't see
57:06hearts doing
57:06that
57:06and Rangers
57:07are not as
57:08strong as
57:08they were
57:08last year
57:08so I think
57:09that's a far
57:10better opportunity
57:11and if hearts
57:11were to do
57:12that
57:12that would be
57:13massive progress
57:14Celtic are a bit
57:14below par
57:15yes they are
57:16but I mean
57:16that's another
57:17level that you're
57:17talking about in
57:18terms of being
57:18able to win a
57:19title I'm not
57:20sure that hearts
57:20are quite there
57:21yet but certainly
57:22I think they're
57:23in a battle for
57:23second place and
57:24I think they
57:24could definitely
57:24do that
57:25do you think
57:25the hearts
57:26fans believe
57:26Scott it
57:27certainly looked
57:28like that in
57:28terms of the
57:29the closing
57:30scenes there at
57:31Tyne Castle and
57:32the belief was
57:32surging through
57:33that stadium
57:33yeah the belief
57:34is because they're
57:34winning games of
57:35football I think
57:35it helps when
57:36Tony Bloom obviously
57:37comes out and
57:37says that he
57:38obviously wants
57:38to split the
57:39old firm and be
57:40that club but
57:40Derek McKinnis
57:41obviously got into
57:42hearts he's done
57:42a fantastic job so
57:43far and if they
57:44can keep up come
57:45January I'd
57:46imagine they
57:46would look to
57:47strengthen again
57:47Michael are you
57:48telling me that
57:49after the final
57:49whistle last night
57:50there weren't
57:50hearts players
57:51they're dreaming
57:52of a title win
57:52no they're not
57:53thinking about that
57:54as a player but
57:54you know the
57:55important thing is
57:55here I think the
57:56manager spoke about
57:56this you want to
57:58let the fans dream
57:58and believe that's
57:59for them to do the
58:00players and the
58:01management team can
58:02focus on trying to
58:03get second
58:03Michael Scott thank
58:04you very much
58:05indeed Scottish
58:05football never ever
58:07ever stops being
58:08fascinating thank
58:09goodness for that
58:10join us for the
58:10Scotland game
58:11midweek from all of
