00:00Well, I hope with all those superpowers, they at least have the ability to breathe in small spaces.
00:04Here's your look at the brand new Kinder Surprise Playmobil Superheroes.
00:14I'm going to be honest with you.
00:15I didn't think I'd have any chance at all to find these in the wild.
00:18Yet I went to my local Walmart one day and obviously going through the checkout line, like everything else, there's the impulse items.
00:25These would be the impulse items, of course, that kids would then look to their parents and say,
00:29Mom, while we're here, can we get some gum?
00:31And you're like, oh, we don't really need to get gum.
00:33You already have gum at home, but I don't have this gum.
00:36So, of course, sure enough, as I looked over to grab some gum, funny enough for my daughter,
00:40I looked over and happened to have come across the new Kinder Surprise Playmobil Superheroes.
00:45Now, I know it's been a while.
00:46Certainly, we've looked at Kinder Surprise here on this channel.
00:49I mean, I think the last time, in fact, we looked at anything Kinder Surprise related was possibly around the Simpsons days.
00:55Sure enough, though, I wanted to, of course, have a look at these because the fact that we get ourselves Kinder Surprise figurines inside
01:01and that they're superheroes, how could I miss my chance to grab these?
01:05Not only did I not miss my chance to grab one, I not missed my chance to grab two,
01:09but in fact, I got three of these.
01:11And I hope that with three of these, I get myself at least three different characters from one another.
01:15It would suck royally if I end up getting myself three Wonder Woman.
01:19Not that I don't have a thing against Wonder Woman,
01:21but just the fact that you don't want to get three of the exact same figure.
01:24Now that I, of course, have jinxed myself.
01:25It's a milk chocolate with, I think it's milky lining.
01:30That's sort of like the stomach lining.
01:32That kind of keeps everything from burning through your stomach.
01:35Sort of prevents, then, the superhero from being able to break out of this chocolate prison.
01:39Of course, this is a two-half system, so essentially the front half is a chocolate,
01:43the back half is a chocolate.
01:44And when you open that up, normally you'd find yourself like a little capsule.
01:48I don't know, though, how a Playmobil figure is going to be able to sit inside of a capsule that small.
01:54I know assembly generally is required.
01:56That's, you know, to go in and buy a Kinder.
01:58Expectation should be there that you know you're going to have to put together anything,
02:01anything that you end up opening inside.
02:04Halfway, hopefully, a lot of times you get yourself an instruction manual.
02:06I know, I know, I'm talking way too much.
02:08On the back, though, warning, a toy not suitable for children under, was that seven years?
02:14Uh-oh, I've given Kinder surprise to my daughter when she was a lot younger than seven years.
02:18In fact, that actually does say not for zero to three years.
02:21So we sort of have somewhat conflicting instructions.
02:26One is telling us not to be giving to, oh, maybe that is three.
02:29Let me just look at that again.
02:30Oh, wouldn't you know what it is, three?
02:32I think it's coming time to the point where this guy's going to have to look into getting,
02:35investing in some glasses.
02:37But I don't think I need myself any glasses to open up the foil on the outside here, of course.
02:43Now, I'm not going to go sitting here eating all three eggs of chocolate.
02:47I'll give the chocolate a try, even though I already know what Kinder tastes like.
02:51And of course, if you aren't familiar with Kinder, because I know there are some places
02:55that don't really let sell in stores surprise eggs, just because there was some notion that
03:01kids would be swallowing these things whole without realizing there was chocolate,
03:04and then there would be a toy sitting inside of that.
03:07But the idea, though, with a Kinder is that if you open it up, there's a capsule inside.
03:12Now, we're going to put the capsule right over here for right now.
03:15And just in case, I mean, if anybody was really curious what a Kinder surprise looks like,
03:20it's essentially, though, a chocolate layer on the outside.
03:22The milky stomach lining interior, just to kind of keep everything contained,
03:27it gives an extra little bit of oomph to the taste of the egg as well.
03:31Well, let's just break off, though, a piece, a small piece.
03:34We want to be, like, be subtle here.
03:37We don't need to be downing down an entire egg.
03:41It's chocolatey.
03:42It doesn't have really the highest quality of chocolate.
03:47If you ever get, like, cheap chocolate, I don't want to really say that Kinder is cheap chocolate,
03:52but it doesn't certainly have a premium, like a Hershey's chocolate.
03:55Of course, the milk interior does give a little bit of added sweetness to that as well.
04:00So I'm going to just put the eggs to the side.
04:02I don't think it's likely that I'm going to be eating any more of these
04:04because the main reason why I really actually got these was to see if what figures I was going to get.
04:11And again, like these being Playmobil, it's kind of cool.
04:14How often would you, like, Lego.
04:16I think Lego would be fun to have Lego minifigures sitting inside these little canisters here.
04:22So the first one that we have, fittingly, though, enough, we have Superman.
04:27Superman.
04:27Now, before we, of course, assemble the Man of Steel, a couple of things we want to go through first
04:33is there's the warnings in different languages.
04:37Some of the language you may be able to read.
04:38Some other languages you may not be able to read.
04:41We'll put those off to the side.
04:43Usually then you get yourself the instruction booklet on one side
04:45or the instruction sheets on one side.
04:48And then on the other, it tells us all the characters that you can get.
04:51So we have Cyborg, Mira, Aquaman.
04:55Kind of weird that we got Mira in there.
04:57Wonder Woman, Superman, Supergirl, Flash, and Green Lantern.
05:04Now, the reason why I sort of hesitate saying all that,
05:07advertised on the front of the package or the foil,
05:10you can clearly see there's the Caped Crusader.
05:12So I'm not sure why, of all this, Batman is usually never left out of the mix.
05:18And yet, funny though enough, they pair, sure enough, the male and female equivalent of each other.
05:24Of course, meaning that you got Superman and Supergirl.
05:26You got Mira and Aquaman.
05:29Nowhere, though, to be found is the Caped Crusader Batman.
05:32Kind of really weird.
05:34What's also kind of interesting, too, as I was wondering these,
05:36and I think I probably have answered my own question.
05:39The first thought I had when I heard that Playmobil was going to be put inside of Kinder eggs,
05:45the first thought I had was,
05:46I don't think a Kinder could really actually fit inside of a Kinder egg.
05:50So will it be an actual sized Kinder or an actual sized Playmobil?
05:56And I think I've now just answered that question.
05:58I'm looking at the size of Superman here.
06:00Granted, though, to be fair, he still has to have his cape put on the back of him.
06:03And I'm going to, when I eventually build all these figures,
06:07I know I have a couple of Playmobiles set aside.
06:10I'm just going to test this theory of mine.
06:12I don't think these are regular sized Playmobil.
06:15Not at all.
06:16I mean, if you're looking at this Superman,
06:18that Superman is pretty tiny.
06:20I just looked behind me to see if I could actually,
06:23no, I can't reach it from here.
06:24I'll have to come back to that in a second.
06:26So from the assembly standpoint, there's not really much that's involved.
06:30Does it have like the bend that Playmobil has as well?
06:34No, it doesn't have that either.
06:36You can't bend the legs.
06:39So they're only legs by name only.
06:41I mean, they're obviously,
06:42they deliver exactly what legs need to deliver.
06:45I mean, they're allowing the figure to stand upright.
06:48There is some arm posability.
06:50You can, you know, you can't move.
06:51Oh yeah, you can move the hands.
06:53You can move as well the head.
06:55The wig or the hairpiece does not look like it's removable.
06:59The Superman emblem there on the front.
07:01Superman, I guess, is more in his new 52 outfit
07:04as he's clearly not sporting a pair of super trunks.
07:07They do seem small though.
07:10They do not seem the size of a regular Playmobil.
07:14Let's just put Superman down here for a second.
07:16We're going to open up the next egg
07:18and see hopefully that we get a different one inside.
07:20Still kind of misleading.
07:22I got to say,
07:23I kinder the fact that you put Batman on the front of it
07:25and Batman's nowhere to be found inside.
07:27I mean, it's not though to say
07:29that Batman may not appear in a series two of these.
07:32But I kind of feel like
07:33if you're going to put him on the front like that,
07:35he has to kind of be on the inside there too.
07:39So let's see what we got here.
07:40Anybody in here?
07:42Hello? Hello?
07:43Let's open up the egg and see exactly the canister
07:45and see who we have inside.
07:48And it looks like we've got ourselves.
07:50Yeah, Cyborg.
07:51I don't want to say that like that's a bad thing.
07:54Cyborg's pretty cool.
07:55But I got to say like my interest in this has depleted.
07:59It's depleted just a bit by knowing
08:01that these aren't really the size of Playmobil figures.
08:05And actually, by the way, I want to also show you
08:06when you are putting the legs in,
08:08you don't snap them in place.
08:09You kind of have to put them from the front
08:11and wedge them to the back.
08:14So you get something that looks like that.
08:17I mean, for what it is, it's not a bad looking.
08:19It certainly is one of the better looking toys
08:22that we've gotten in Kinders
08:23because Kinders tend to be tiny little things that do stuff.
08:25I mean, that's fun.
08:27Rolling wheels or they like roll up things
08:29or it's like a butterfly that flaps its wings.
08:32So if you want a fuller, full size figure,
08:35and it's a little bit bigger than obviously
08:36like a Lego mini figure,
08:38but it's, I don't think it's the size.
08:40No, it's not.
08:41Like Playmobiles tend to be about this size.
08:43These are kind of mini Playmobiles.
08:47Anyways, let's see what we got for the final egg here.
08:51Somebody right now is asking me in the background.
08:54Hey, buddy, do you have plans to go back
08:55and pick up any more of these?
08:57Likely no.
08:57Oh, likely no.
08:58Just because, again, like my hopes were going in pretty high.
09:03But again, like to look at the size of the egg,
09:05looking at the size of the canister,
09:07I said there's no way at all
09:09a Playmobil figure is going to fit inside any of these.
09:12And sure enough, I was right.
09:14The final figure that we have inside is...
09:16Is what?
09:19Hold on a second.
09:20Hold on a second.
09:21We've got Catwoman.
09:24What just happened now that we've introduced brand new characters?
09:27Let's open up the pamphlet and see if anything has changed.
09:30Oh, okay.
09:31So apparently it has changed.
09:33Okay.
09:34Now I'm totally confused.
09:35Let me just look at the foil here.
09:36The foil, from what I looked at,
09:39I think the foil is exactly the same.
09:42So for one reason or another,
09:44now all of a sudden we've got ourselves an entire Bat family.
09:47And for no other reason,
09:49Black Adam's there as well.
09:51So we've got Harley Quinn.
09:52We've got the Riddler.
09:53We've got Joker.
09:54We've got Robin, Batman.
09:56Batman looks kind of a little weird there.
09:57A Batgirl.
09:58A Catwoman.
09:59And again, Black Adam.
10:01Why is Black Adam just hanging around with the Bat family?
10:05And sure enough though,
10:06as again,
10:06I went in being now surprised.
10:09I'm surprised even more the fact that I was getting a character that
10:11I had real no idea that I was going to be getting at all.
10:15Of course,
10:15the assembly again is nothing really new.
10:17So what we're only just going to really do is take the legs,
10:20snap them in place like that.
10:23I mean,
10:23at least for Catwoman,
10:25one thing could be said,
10:25they spent the budget to at least give her goggles.
10:28I mean,
10:28it's not just that they gave her the frames.
10:29There's actually lenses on those goggles.
10:33It's funny though,
10:34that we're talking about her being Catwoman,
10:36and yet there's no tail on the back of her body.
10:38What's actually kind of also interesting too,
10:40is if you look at the back of both Cyborg and Catwoman,
10:43they've got these kind of canals,
10:45like they're leading water away from a village.
10:48It's got Playmobil printed on the back.
10:50I know Playmobil has to brand themselves somewhere.
10:53I don't know though,
10:54if I would have branded it in like a ravine on the back of the figure's body.
10:57Again,
10:58like the articulation is pretty limited on these.
11:01Does the,
11:02no,
11:02the cowl does not even come off on Catwoman.
11:05The head does rotate,
11:06barely though.
11:08I almost even feel like as I'm turning the head,
11:10like I'm stripping almost the plastic away where the head's going to break off.
11:14The arms rotate all the way around.
11:16There's hand articulation,
11:18nothing in the waist,
11:20nothing in the legs.
11:22So,
11:23you know what?
11:23I'm just going to put these down here for a second.
11:24Let's see if I can find myself a Playmobil,
11:26and we'll compare the sizes between the two.
11:29And I'm sure by no surprise,
11:31as I grab myself a regular size Playmobil,
11:34you can clearly see that there's a big size difference between the two.
11:38I mean,
11:39it wasn't that hard to look at a capsule,
11:41for example.
11:41Let's just bring back in one of these capsules.
11:43Look at the capsule and then look at a Playmobil.
11:46Even if,
11:46well,
11:47these are,
11:47these are impossible to disassemble,
11:49but if,
11:50let's say logically they had found a way to disassemble the figure,
11:53you'd,
11:54if anything,
11:54be able to probably fit the torso and maybe the head.
11:57The arms and the legs would have been next to impossible.
12:00Plus two,
12:01like these guys do have a lot more possibility.
12:02This just happens to be a Ghostbuster.
12:04I pulled from an Ecto-1.
12:06There's more head articulation.
12:08I think also these wigs,
12:09they come off.
12:10I feel like they do.
12:10So arm articulation,
12:12the hands,
12:13nothing in the waist,
12:14but at least like the legs can flip up.
12:15So,
12:16you know,
12:16again,
12:16like it's suggested by the design,
12:19I suppose alone,
12:20Playmobil was represented in a Kinder.
12:22It just wasn't represented in the size that you'd expect,
12:25which again,
12:26I,
12:26I guess one thing that really Kinder could have done is they would have just released Kinder sized Playmobil figures
12:32and a larger sized egg.
12:34Yes,
12:34though,
12:34it would have cost more money for any collector out there to source them out.
12:38But I think any collector that really is wanting to collect Playmobil would probably want still to get their figures the size that normal Playmobil figures would be,
12:46not these miniaturized versions.
12:49Let me know down below in the comments section if you guys have had the chance to pick up any of these.
12:54Again,
12:54what a weird surprise.
12:55I grabbed three of these of the Kinder Surprise,
12:58thinking again that I was only going to be getting like the super folks here.
13:02I ended up getting two of them from this line and I got one of them from this line and then Black Adam again is just randomly there.
13:09But let me know if you guys have had the chance to pick up any new Playmobil Kinder Surprise characters.
13:14Are you also a little bit miffed the fact that they're clearly not the size that a Playmobil figure really should be?
13:19Or if you don't mind at all that they're a little bit smaller.
13:22If you guys did also enjoy this video, do it a solid, throw it a like.
13:26If you guys want to stick around for more so, and I certainly hope so,
13:29certainly there are going to be more videos coming your way.
13:31As always guys, thanks for watching.
13:33See you guys next time.
