Colombian people mobilize in defense of democracy and the government of President Gustavo Petro. From the city of Ibagué, citizens took to the streets in a large popular mobilization to defend democracy, human dignity, and social justice. In this context, Colombian President Gustavo Petro rejected the unfair treatment of Colombians and Latin Americans in the United States, denouncing the anti-migration rhetoric and accusing U.S. authorities of seeking to turn Latin Americans into slaves of an imperialist regime. The head of state also emphasized that the U.S. government is complicit in the genocide being carried out in the Gaza Strip by the Zionist regime of Israel.
