00:00The one that we're all anticipating ACC matchup, number three, Miami,
00:04number 18, Florida State at Florida State.
00:07Ben, break this down for everybody because this is the one we want to watch.
00:11Yeah, Schlegs, it's an interesting spot, right?
00:13Just from the betting and handicapping perspective, let's start there
00:16because I think if you have one of these two teams,
00:18Miami looks like maybe the best team in college football
00:21and really the improvement defensively has been key for the Hurricanes.
00:25Florida State loses in overtime against UVA last week in Charlottesville,
00:30but they were pretty hyped as the number eight team in the country
00:32and three-week number five as well.
00:34So as we could expect, most of the public betting handle on Miami early,
00:39but the line on Sunday opened at five and a half in favor of the Canes
00:42on the road in Dope and Campbell.
00:44And now despite most of that public betting handle being on the Miami side,
00:49the line has worked back to Florida State.
00:51Now just a four and a half point spread, that total 53 and a hook.
00:56Again, it's kind of the spot like Illinois last week.
00:58They get hammered against Indiana.
01:00USC has many of the same ability to kind of expose some of that for the Illini,
01:07and yet the line worked back to Illinois despite more than 80% of the handle
01:11being on Southern Cal.
01:13I think Florida State stays within this football game,
01:16and here is how FSU from the football side of things, Schlegs,
01:19pulls off the upset.
01:20Can they make Carson Beck the Carson Beck of 2024 and not the Carson Beck of 2023?
01:26Or the Carson Beck of the Miami-Notre Dame game,
01:29who was turnover free and very in command,
01:32or the Carson Beck of the last few weeks,
01:34who has thrown three interceptions in the last two?
01:37Kind of lost in the sauce last week when you lose in double OT against Virginia,
01:42is the fact that Noles' defense turned Chandler Morris over three times,
01:46three interceptions.
01:47They can be a ball-hawking team, one of 24 in FBS college football with at least six interceptions so far in 2025.
01:54Can Florida State, in that raucous environment in Tallahassee on Saturday,
01:59create some chaos for Carson Beck?
02:01If so, I think we might see an upset for Florida State.
02:04I still lean Miami because of how great they have been defensively,
02:08and if you are going to beat Florida State, you must contain the run.
02:11Welcome Reuben Bain Jr. and Akeem Mesidor up front for Miami,
02:15and this Corey Heatherman defense that has been outstanding so far this year.
02:20But if Florida State pulls the upset,
02:23it is putting Carson Beck in a turnover-worthy circumstances and taking advantage.
