00:00We'll turn our attention to a noon kick in Athens, Georgia, fresh off their loss to Alabama.
00:06The 33-game home winning streak is snapped, a chance to get back.
00:11They're laying 20-and-a-half against a team in Kentucky, Coach, that is 0-2 in the conference.
00:17They sit at 500, and this is a team in Georgia that has knocked off the Wildcats 15 straight times.
00:24Last year, this game went down to the wire, and Georgia prevailed 13-12.
00:30I think it's a different atmosphere, a different outcome this year.
00:33I think Georgia dominates by three touchdowns or more.
00:38I'm with you.
00:39They got Georgia at a bad time.
00:41They aren't used to losing.
00:43They're not used to losing at home in front of their fans.
00:46It's been a pretty miserable week over there in Athens, Georgia, so I think they have a great week of practice.
00:53They know what they've got to do, and they take it out on Kentucky.
00:57Kentucky lost their quarterback.
00:59They've got a backup that's inconsistent.
01:02Just hoping he plays well, but I don't think they can.
01:06With the quarterback, with Gunnar Stockton and the way they can score points, I really don't see them holding Georgia back,
01:13and that 20-and-a-half is not enough for Kentucky to stay in this ballgame.
01:17I agree.
01:20I think when you look at the last four games in the series, Georgia has won those games by an average margin of victory of 16-and-a-half points per game.
01:28The last four games played in the series in Athens, Georgia has dominated.
01:34They've won those games by an average margin of victory of 26.2 points per game.
01:39Georgia coming off a 227 rushing yard performance against Alabama.
01:45They averaged 6.8 yards per carry.
01:48I expect a very physical effort out of the offensive line.
01:51I think the rushing attack will continue.
01:53And to your point, the biggest thing about the Wildcats, going with inexperience at the quarterback position,
01:59when you have a freshman going on the road, going up against Kirby Smart in this type of atmosphere,
02:05knowing that Georgia's coming off a very disappointing home loss, bad recipe for Kentucky to potentially cover this line.
02:13If it gets out of hand that Georgia scores 30 or 40, there's no way Kentucky can keep up with that type of tempo.
02:20No.
02:21No, Kentucky's going to try to slow it down.
02:23They're going to go as slow as they can.
02:24They're going to take every second off the clock.
02:26They're going to hope Georgia will do what Georgia likes to do is run the football.
02:31And as long as they don't let them have a 40 or 50-yard explosive run, they'll take time off the clock, too.
02:38This won't guarantee Kentucky a win, but it'll keep the game close.
02:42It'll give their kids some confidence to build on.
02:45That's the only way I think it could be close if you have a Georgia driving, driving, driving,
02:51and maybe fumble the football or get to a field goal.
02:54And then Kentucky play as slow as they can.
02:57But I think you got Georgia on a bad night.
02:59That's what I think you got on a bad day because Georgia has got blood in their eyes,
03:03and Kentucky's who they got to beat bad to make them feel better.
03:08From the coaching perspective, what is Kirby preaching to the team right now?
03:14Eye on the prize is obviously to win an SEC championship.
03:17That's still within reach.
03:18To get to the college football playoff, that's still within reach.
03:22But you want to see consistency on both sides of the football.
03:25It seems like right now their offense is a little bit more consistent, at least running the football,
03:31than maybe their defense is right now.
03:34Yeah, I mean, offensively, I mean, the defense, again, they've got to live.
03:37They're not quite holding against the run.
03:39Didn't get the sack pressure against Alabama that they literally like to have.
03:45So they can play better on defense.
03:46But I think the key is that they just got to put that one behind them.
03:51You can lose a goal.
03:52Your goal is to win the conference championship, to get to the playoffs,
03:56and they're still right in the hunt as they keep on playing for those things.
04:01So put that one away.
04:02I do think if he's running the ball well, he needs to go over top and get some explosive plays.
04:07He can put this game away pretty quick.
04:09If mixing in his passes are over the top or explosive pass plays to go with a strong running attack.
