Cuba rejects actions against Venezuela

00:00In this context, the Cuban Foreign Minister also released an issue and statements warning

00:06about the recent military actions of the United States and alerting about the serious repercussions

00:11they will have for peace and stability in Latin America and the Caribbean.

00:16In a statement, the Foreign Ministry asserted, the extraordinary build-up of military resources

00:22in the Southern Caribbean, the recent illegal incursions by U.S. combat aircraft into Venezuela's

00:28flight information region, the repeated destruction of civilian vessels and the murder of their

00:34crews and the announcement that such military actions would be extended to land areas are

00:40now accompanied by the notification that the United States will be engaged in non-international

00:46armed conflict against illegal combatants.

00:49They also denounced that a direct military aggression against Venezuela would trigger an armed conflict

00:57that would have incalculable consequences for the peace, security and stability of our

01:02Americas.

01:03And to conclude, they reiterate, Cuba's firm and unwavering support for the Bolivarian

01:08and Chavista government of Venezuela and for the popular and military unity of the Venezuelan

01:14people, military aggression must be stopped in order to preserve peace in Latin America

01:19and the Caribbean.
