00:00The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the report published in July 20
00:04by the U.S. Department of State regarding Cuba's alleged subversive influence against the United States.
00:11In a statement, the entity said it is hypocritical for the State Department to accuse Cuba of promoting subversive actions
00:17when it's well known that it is the U.S. government that allocates tens of millions of dollars from its
00:24federal budget
00:24every year to subvert the internal order in Cuba, cause hunger and despair, and bring about the overthrow of the
00:33Cuban government.
00:34This is done by the very same government that has a sordid history of interference and violations of international law,
00:41that carries out extrajudicial executions in international waters, engages in political assassination,
00:47and sponsored acts of genocide, attacks sovereign countries on every continent,
00:52and interferes in the electoral process of sovereign states.
00:55The Ministry added, it is also hypocritical to resist in the lie of labeling Cuba as State Sponsor of Terrorism.
01:02It is evident that neither this report nor any other can present evidence,
01:07not even the slightest indication to support such an illegitimate accusation,
01:13as it does not exist, as is well known to the specialized agencies of the U.S. government itself.
01:19It is, however, common knowledge that those who finance, organize, invest, and instigate violent authorities
01:25and acts against Cuba have found protection and total impunity on U.S. soil.
01:30It continues by saying that, in particular, the aims to repress and attack the American people themselves
01:36and to intimidate those who express solidarity, including those who denounce their government's unjust aggression against Cuba.
01:44It is recognized that opposition to the energy blockade, the strangulation of the Cuban economy,
01:50and the threat of military aggression is growing in the U.S., including among Cubans living there and their descendants.
01:56The statement ends by saying, as it has always done, Cuba will continue to foster friendly relations with the American
02:03people and institutions
02:04in strict accordance with international law, the United Nations Charter, and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
