00:00Mac Jones was stupid good. He's 3-0 now as a starter for San Fran as Brock Purdy nurses his turf turf thing, right?
00:06Yeah.
00:06But I was thinking about this, you know, this morning when I heard the Mac Jones comments,
00:11because I didn't hear them last night because I went to bed right after overtime,
00:14so I didn't get to see his postgame stuff until this morning.
00:16But I want you to listen to Mac Jones, who's the current starter for San Francisco,
00:21but he's number two on the depth chart behind Brock Purdy if they were both healthy.
00:25And I'll just say one thing. Disregard the ugly, stupid suit that Mac Jones chose to wear to this press conference.
00:34Just disregard it because it's stupid. But listen to what Mac Jones said after the game. Go ahead, guys.
00:39You know, they brought me here to play as a backup, and that's my job.
00:43And Brock's the starter of this team, and right now he's dealing with something.
00:47And for him to go out there last week and play when you know he probably wasn't at full health,
00:51like he cares about this team.
00:52So I'm just trying to get some wins for him so it helps us down the line.
00:56And at the end of the day, that's what it's all about.
01:00All right, Brock Purdy, I'm just trying to help the team out.
01:03I'm sorry, Mac Jones saying I'm just trying to help the team out.
01:06Brock Purdy's the starter. I'm just trying to get him some wins so that when he comes back,
01:10we're in a great position.
01:12That is called textbook answering a question when you're the backup quarterback
01:17who's being given an opportunity to now start because of an injury.
01:21That's textbook. It's perfect.
01:23It's why I'm sure the guys in that locker room love Mac Jones.
01:27Mac Jones wasn't like, look at me. It's all about me.
01:30I told you I could play. Anyone that doubted me was stupid.
01:34I'm finally with a great coach. It's my team now.
01:37I'm going to lead. None of that.
01:39None of that braggadocia. None of that arrogance.
01:41None of that cockiness. Here's a kid that's 3-0 who just threw for 340 yards
01:47in an overtime win against a division rival to go 4-1 on the season.
01:53Juxtapose that against the Shadur Sanders crap miming in the locker room
01:58because he doesn't like the fact that he's still a third-string quarterback.
02:03Mac Jones will always get a job if he doesn't stay in San Francisco.
02:08Ten other teams will reach out to his agent after this year
02:11and see if he's available or interested in playing for them
02:14or maybe even competing for the starting job.
02:18Nobody is going to call Shadur Sanders
02:21because on one side, you've got a mature quarterback
02:25who understands his role and is a team-first guy.
02:29On the other side, you have an immature guy
02:32who's never thrown a pass in the NFL
02:34who still believes it's all about me.
