On October 3, the Russian Ministry of Defence released footage showing the small missile ship Buria, Project 22800 Karakurt, firing during naval exercises in the Baltic Sea amid rising tensions in the region.
According to the official statement, the Buria used the Pantsir-M surface-to-air missile and gun system to repel simulated enemy aerial attacks. Target missiles launched from the Kaliningrad coast were used as objectives.
The exercise was successful: the live fire hit the targets, as confirmed by objective control data.
In addition to the firing drills, the ship’s crew also carried out a series of complementary exercises at sea, including electronic warfare actions, survival procedures, and counter-sabotage defence measures.
The full video was released on the official channel of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
