Storm Amy Strikes Northern Europe

A powerful storm, named Amy, is moving across Northern Europe. Currently over the UK, it is expected to cross the North Sea and reach Denmark and Norway by evening.

Meteorologists warn of hurricane-force gusts up to 40 m/s along Norway’s southern coast and mountains, with heavy rainfall of up to 100 mm by Saturday. Some areas in the mountains may see snow.

Denmark and southern Sweden will also face strong winds over 30 m/s and heavy rain exceeding 30 mm.

The storm will continue southeast, reaching Finland by Saturday evening with rain expected on Sunday.
