00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Pitania.
00:04Over the next few days we hold on to unsettled conditions with low pressure dominating.
00:08Low pressure currently set out towards the west of the UK but gradually making inroads from the west
00:12and notice tightly packed ice bars indicating pretty blustery conditions
00:16with outbreaks of rain never too far away. So looking at things in more detail for
00:20today now then, we've got a pretty unsettled picture across the UK with bands of showers
00:24moving in from the south west, moving north and east across pretty much all parts as we go
00:28through the day. Could be a bit of winterness at times across the hills of Scotland and wherever
00:32you are those showers will be accompanied by pretty blustery conditions with gales
00:36particularly down towards the south and south west of the UK with parts of Wales perhaps seeing some of the
00:40heaviest bursts of rain. Temperatures on the face of it not too bad, close to the seasonal average
00:44in fact in the range 6 to 10 Celsius, 10 down towards the south west
00:48there is 50 in Fahrenheit. But if we add on the effect of those showers and those brisk winds
00:52it's certainly going to feel much colder out and about. Heading into the evening
00:56through the overnight period then, low pressure still anchored pretty much towards
01:00the west of the UK so we'll see further shower bursts of rain moving pretty much
01:04across all areas from south to north as we go through the overnight period. Again there could be a bit of
01:08winterness across the mountains of Scotland but given the blustery conditions with gales
01:12in some parts and those showers too, the temperatures will tend to hold up so most
01:16places will be frost free, lowest values in Scotland down into low single figures
01:20but for much of the UK holding up around 5 to 7 Celsius.
01:24On into Tuesday now and low pressure will be pretty much slap bang across the UK
01:28so the winds will start to ease down gradually but notice from the chart there there's lots of
01:32showers still to contend with. Again some of those showers could be quite heavy in places
01:36emerging still to give some longer spells of rain. There will still be enough of a wind
01:40to take the edge off the temperature, highs of 6 to 10 Celsius, 10
01:44down towards the south west again as it's around the 50 Fahrenheit mark. That's pretty
01:48much it from me but of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast by following us on social
01:52media and by subscribing to our YouTube channel. I'll see you soon.
01:56Take care for now. Bye bye.
