Storm Amy Slams UK and Scandinavia

Storm Amy brought chaos across the U.K., Ireland, and Scandinavia with heavy rain and winds up to 96 mph. Over 200,000 homes in Ireland lost power, and one man died in Letterkenny in a weather-related incident.

In Scotland, ferries, roads, and rail services were disrupted by fallen trees, leaving around 62,000 customers without electricity. London’s Royal Parks, including Hyde Park and Regent’s Park, were closed due to dangerous wind gusts.

The storm also battered Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, where tens of thousands of homes were left without power as rain and high tides hit coastal regions.
