00:00Gabungan Rakyat Sabah has rubbished claims it offered to allocate 23 seats for Pakatan Harapan
00:06to contest in the upcoming Sabah state election.
00:10GRS Secretary General Masidi Manjun said seat negotiations had not even been finalized,
00:16which meant that there was no such thing as the ruling state coalition offering 23 seats to PH.
00:22He added that GRS wants to contest 55 of the 73 seats that will be up for grabs
00:28and allocate the remaining 18 to PH.
00:32He said he believed the 23 seats being mentioned are what PH is trying to ask for.
00:37Masidi also brushed off Party Solidarity Tana Ayurkou's contention
00:41that PH should only be allowed to defend the seven state seats it currently holds,
00:47stressing that genuine partners should be treated as friends.
00:50Earlier today, Star Information Chief Anwar Ghani claimed GRS offered to allocate PH 23 seats,
00:57which he described as excessive and contrary to the sentiments of Sabahats.
01:03Anwar was seeking to justify Star's departure from GRS
01:06after the party maintained that it should go solo in the state election
01:10rather than see GRS continue its pact with PH.
