00:00Hey, Hollywood Reporter. I'm FKA Twigs, and these are my top threes.
00:15So my top three red carpet looks.
00:18I once wore an archive bird of paradise dress by Alexander McQueen to his museum gala opening.
00:26I just loved wearing something from the McQueen archives.
00:29I know it's hard to get in there.
00:31And yeah, it's just a very major look.
00:34I wore a Jean-Paul Gaultier blazer from the Tribal Collection and a huge big green fur hat to the NME Awards a few years ago.
00:42And I love that look because I collect a lot of archive fashion, and it was from my wardrobe.
00:48And then probably my third favourite, not in order, is the VMAs look that I just wore on the red carpet by Fecal Matter.
00:58My hair stylist, Louis, made me headphones out of braids.
01:02I've been wearing a lot of headphones recently because I cut all my hair off and I've needed something to hold my hair back.
01:07I guess as a result of my team and I being really close and us just observing how we're working together.
01:13So he came up with this amazing idea to make me headphones with these amazing braids hanging on.
01:20My top three artists, I would say, at the moment are Andre 3000, the Cocteau Twins and Prince.
01:29I think for me Cocteau Twins, I can play any time of day, in the morning, on a shoot, in the studio, at night.
01:35There's something about their music, it just sets me free.
01:38From whatever I'm going through, I'm just set free as soon as those guitars and heavenly vocals come in.
01:44Yeah, that's probably my go-to favourite, I'd say.
01:46Obviously, it's hard to do movies and artists because it does change.
01:51But at the moment, my top three movies would be Silence by Scorsese and Avatar, The Way of Water.
01:59That blew me away and when I went to sleep that night after watching it, I had dreams that I was in the sea and I could move like the Avatar.
02:08And it was, I'd say it was like top three dreams because I was going through the water with all the sea creatures and it felt so real.
02:14It just really inspired me and my imagination.
02:17And then the third one, The Boyfriend by Ken Russell.
02:21I love the choreography and the way that he interchanges the theatre scenes to the real life scenes.
02:28And there's so much joy in the movie and obviously Twiggy is incredible.
02:36I just went to Seoul in Korea for the second time and it topped even my first time.
02:41So my team are trying to stop me from moving to Korea right now.
02:44I just want to change my number, move to Korea and just be there amongst the incredible culture and the amazing people, all the amazing artists there.
02:51So I'd say Korea, I'd say Ghana.
02:54When I went to Ghana when I was 19, I had a really life changing experience.
02:58I went to this castle where they held all the slaves before they went across the sea.
03:04And I went in the rooms.
03:06I'm Jamaican and my surname is Smith.
03:08So obviously that meant so much to me knowing that my ancestors are from slavery.
03:12And I felt just when I was 19, it made me really connect to where I was from.
03:16And it blew my heart open to my ancestors and all the generations that have come before me and what they've been through so that I can be here.
03:25So I'd say Ghana.
03:26I would say Paris, which feels obvious, but I love going there.
03:31I love how unbothered everybody is.
03:32I love the beautiful architecture.
03:34I love how on one hand it's grand and luxurious.
03:37On the other hand, it's like a bit rubbish and run down.
03:39And I love how it's all intertwined and so chic.
03:43Okay.
03:44Wow.
03:45Top three pieces of advice.
03:46I think a famous actor said, and we can fact check who it is.
03:50Don't believe them when they love you.
03:51Don't believe them when they hate you.
03:52Yeah, well, everyone has an opinion now, so it doesn't mean it's real.
03:57For good or for bad, you know.
03:59Another piece of advice would be, I guess, like to treat your body like it's a temple.
04:04I think the more I just lean into that way of living, the fruit of the labor behind looking after myself resonates tenfold throughout my life.
04:14And then the third one would be, if you look after the pennies, the pounds will look after themselves.
04:19It means that the small choices that you make financially add up to being able to feel financially secure.
04:26Those matcha lattes.
04:28They'll get you.
04:30Those matcha lattes.
04:31You'll keep it going.
04:40That way!
04:41Come.
04:42bad, you контр, you know.
04:47what?
04:48I don't want to be yet like it's when you write it up.
04:54You
