00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday, October the 1st, so certainly autumn's with us now.
00:09Let's bring you some of our headlines this morning that are doing well.
00:13Right, first of all one from the council that came out yesterday.
00:18They are telling people now that they are introducing a new user-friendly tool on the City of Doncaster Council website,
00:29which is helping to streamline the process for making planning inquiries and in turn should yield faster responses for the public.
00:38You can read all about that on the website this morning, like I say that is doing well for us today.
00:43The other two that are doing well are both from the police.
00:47One contains a video and it's officers acting on intelligence who were executing a warrant to property in Doncaster,
00:56which led to the discovery of a dangerous firearm, a shotgun actually,
01:02and the jail sentence that he got for the man that actually possessed it.
01:07It was found stored in bin bags under his stairs.
01:11And then another one that was sent out, which relates to an incident on Monday night that members of the public asked us about.
01:18A man suffered serious injuries after a petrol bomb was hurled at him in an attack on Monday night.
01:26Officers have launched an investigation after the incident, which took place in intake.
01:32They were called at just around half past ten with reports of a man found injured outside a property on Westminster Crescent.
