00:00Good morning it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Tuesday May the 20th

00:04just bringing you some of our top headlines this morning. First of all

00:09something that I put out yesterday, a driver fled the scene after crashing a

00:15car into a garden wall in a late night incident. So he made off, he was

00:23seen on CCTV, obviously thought better of it and returned the next day to face the

00:28consequences. So you can read that, there's a couple of pictures of the damage

00:32that he caused. It looks like he was a drink driver and he's facing a number of

00:38charges so like I say that's on the website today for you. Another piece that

00:43sent out yesterday that's still doing really really well, a woman had to be

00:46hospitalized after a reported robbery and assault at Lakeside and basically there

00:54was a couple who were allegedly stealing from a shop at Lakeside and a woman tried

01:02to intervene and in doing so ended up being assaulted and sustaining some

01:08injuries so that's also still on the website again today. And then one for you

01:13COVID lovers, again this is another one that's been going well for a couple of

01:18days for us. The question is asked is how does the new COVID variant which is

01:24called LP.8.1 compare to the previous strains of the virus. There are some
