00:07What was the thought process?
00:08Were you thinking about maybe draining the clock or did you just want to score right

00:10I mean, yeah, we thought about it.
00:12I mean, we knew they were probably going to try to be aggressive and, you know, it was
00:16just kind of a base, you know, quick game play for us and Jayden made a great read.
00:19And, you know, in that moment when you're down five, it's not like you can just sit
00:23there and be too cute with it.
00:24I mean, you're playing a really good defense on the road.
00:26Like scoring, scoring is not easy, you know, and so, yes, I mean, you know, would
00:32it have worked out great if we'd have been able to bleed some more clock?
00:34Yeah, but if you bleed clock and don't score, it doesn't matter anyway.
00:37And so you got to score.
00:38Obviously, we made a, you know, great play and you got to live with those.
00:42I've been in that situation a lot as a coach and I've seen it play too conservative
00:45too, where you say, all right, well, I'm going to bleed clock the first couple
00:48downs and all of a sudden it's third down and that place is going crazy and you
00:51only got two shots.
00:52So at the end of the day, you got to score.
00:54That's a decision that we made and our guys did a really good job of executing it.
00:57On that subsequent Illinois drive, what did you see going wrong?
01:02Yeah, I mean, we gave up a couple of, obviously a couple of runs and then I, I
01:05mean, obviously the pass interference, you know, was a big play.
01:08I mean, I, I'll be, I'll look forward to seeing that one again.
01:12I thought that was a pretty competitive play.
01:14I mean, I, I don't have the best angle out there, but I, you know, in that point
01:18of the game, I hope it was really, really egregious for them to throw that in
01:21that moment. So we'll, we'll, we'll check that one out, but yeah, I mean, they, we
01:25knew they had a good field goal kicker, you know, he's kicking downwind. So, you
01:29know, field goal range was not that far out, but we've got to go out there and, and, and
01:33play better. I mean, we've got to, we've got to affect the quarterback more,
01:36obviously stop the run more and we just never, never really got them going
01:39backwards there, which obviously is disappointing because we feel like we got
01:43the group to do that.
