USC Trojans head Coach Lincoln Riley discusses the versatility of the Trojans

00:00Obviously you win a game that everyone expects you to win.

00:03What did you like about the fact that you scored with nine different guys?

00:07I didn't know that, that's pretty cool.

00:10Yeah, I mean, I just, I think shows some of the versatility of this team.

00:14You know, we scored, we scored on defense.

00:17You know, we were able to get a lot of different guys involved.

00:20And so that was exciting to see.

00:22I mean, this is what I anticipated that we would play something like this.

00:27I just, it's kind of what I've seen on the practice field.

00:29I've been telling the media that's been coming out to practice.

00:31So, like, we have not had one day where we feel like we had to, like,

00:34beg them to practice.

00:35And I just, that does not, I've been through a lot of camps, man.

00:38And typically there's one or two days where it's just like, man,

00:41you feel like you're begging these guys.

00:43And, you know, it's kind of the dog days of camp, right?

00:45And it just never felt like that with this group.

00:48And so I expected that we would come out and play well on all sides

00:53and be complimentary, and we did that.

00:55Coach, you talked about, you know,

00:57the SoCal guys being on the depth chart earlier this week.

00:59What do you have to see from them on film to make sure, you know,

01:01they can really secure those spots and keep on starting in the same center?

01:05I think the same for everybody.

01:07I mean, obviously, you know, those guys are important to our roster

01:10and always will be.

01:11But it's the same for everyone in our program.

01:13I mean, once they get in our program, it's all about, you know,

01:17their performance.

01:18You know, do we trust them?

01:19Are they reliable?

01:21And so, yeah, we try to treat everybody the same when it gets to there.

01:25So obviously a lot of guys from this area making a lot of big plays for us tonight.
