00:00Walton Goggins is responding to Pete Davidson after the comedian predicted fans will soon
00:04turn on the White Lotus star. Last week, The Hollywood Reporter posted a story on Davidson's
00:10comments, which were made on Theo Vaughn's This Past Weekend podcast. Davidson compared how quickly
00:15audiences can embrace an actor, then get tired of them. He pointed to Pedro Pascal as an example,
00:21saying,
00:30The former Saturday Night Live star mentioned Goggins as the next actor who may endure the
00:46same kind of treatment, saying,
00:47They're going to do it with, Walton Goggins will be next. They'll be like,
00:50You know, it's like we build everybody up and now it's so fast. It's like so fast to turn.
00:56Goggins later saw the THR story and shared his thoughts on Instagram, saying,
01:00I saw this article and had to respond. Pete was talking about his own experience.
01:05Pete, we don't know each other, but I appreciate the heads up. We agree on one thing. Pedro Pascal
01:09isn't a good man. He's a great man. A dear friend of mine. As a 53 year old, I'm acutely aware that
01:15every experience has a shelf life. I appreciate so many of you going on this journey with me.
01:20I imagine a lot of you, and I don't blame you, are tired of hearing my homilies. He went on to say,
01:26See to me, being included in this headline isn't a curse. It's a blessing. How lucky am I that this
01:31is even a possibility? Goggins also reflected on whether Davidson's prediction might come to
01:36fruition and how he'd feel about it if it did. If this headline is a possibility or an inevitability,
01:41if this is my fate, well, okay, I'm going to enjoy the fuck out of it. For more on this story,
