Palauan President Surangel Whipps Jr. said China has misinterpreted UN Resolution 2758 to silence Taiwan’s 23 million people. Leaders from Paraguay and the Marshall Islands also voiced support. Meanwhile, Czech President Petr Pavel warned that rising tensions in the Taiwan Strait threaten global security and trade. The General Assembly continues through next Monday.
