00:00You know, normal, nice conditions, the golf course plays one way.
00:03Beth Page Black is already an absolute bear.
00:06With rainy conditions, maybe can't hit the golf ball further,
00:09but who gives the advantages here?
00:11Is it Team USA or is it the Europeans that would get this benefit
00:15from maybe a soggier golf course?
00:17Well, the weather's going to be perfect during the event.
00:20So maybe if it was going to be bad weather while they play,
00:23you might say Team Europe.
00:24But the fact that we're just going to soften the surfaces
00:26and create more scoring chances, it undoubtedly favors the USA side.
00:31We are much better at scoring.
00:33It's proven.
00:33I mean, we play over here on the TPC PGA Tour where, you know,
00:3730 underwins tournaments.
00:38Our guys are conditioned to go low.
00:40We've already established that they've moved a bunch of tee boxes up
00:43to make the golf course shorter.
00:44They've lowered the rough.
00:45They've widened the fairways.
00:47They want this thing to be a shootout because it favors the Americans,
00:50and that's part of that home course advantage, Donnie.
00:54So weather won't be an issue.
00:56And I'm glad you mentioned that, Keith, because I was going to say,
00:59what's the advantage for the Americans using
01:02and setting up the course to there?
01:05What do they think their edge is here,
01:07and how did they set the course up to help them?
01:10Joe, there's a couple things, but probably the most obvious one
01:13is about six weeks ago I played the golf course,
01:15and I was comparing it to the 2019 PGA Championship,
01:19which was the last time these guys played in an event here
01:21on the black course.
01:22And the scorecard is 107 yards shorter.
01:25That doesn't sound like a lot, but over the course of 18 holes,
01:28it's substantial.
01:29They've shortened some par threes.
01:31They've shortened a couple of the longer par fours,
01:33and the reason being is that the U.S. side is much better hitting wedges.
01:37We are much better at scoring shots.
01:38We're much better at scoring irons and mid-irons.
01:40We do not want to get into a long iron fest like we had over in Rome.
01:44You're going against guys like Rob, Hoblin, Rory, Hatton.
01:47You know, those guys are some of the best long iron players in the world.
01:50We have the best wedge players, Ben Griffin, Russell Henley,
01:53Scotty Scheffler, Sam Burns.
01:55Like, that's what we want to do.
01:56So the biggest setup key you're going to see is that all of the tees,
02:00where they can, the PGA of America has moved them up to give us an advantage,
02:04and it's very similar to what they did at Whistling Straits,
02:06which is you lower the rough, you let our guys bob away,
02:10and then you let them just absolutely attack the pin.
02:12It's like a Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson mentality
02:14that we've shared for, like, decades.
02:16And we're going to keep going.
02:18And I'm going to set the pin up.
02:20And I'm going to set the pin.
02:21Let's go here and renew as you start.
02:23Now, do you guys want to take a break?
02:26I'm going to cut the pin.
02:27I'm going to put it out.
02:28And just,
02:29I used to cast the pin.
02:31And check it out,
02:33and turn door.
02:34People will see the знаCE-
02:37And if you put it together,
02:38we're going to keep it in the hotel room
02:39and get it up.
02:40I'll release this time with youifer to see
02:42the Water stand back.
