00:05think is a phenomenal tournament the history behind it the same golf course it's just like

00:08right to spring here but every two years the rider cup like the guys aren't playing with the

00:12competition hey you know it's nice to win that we put an extra 10 to 20 million in our pocket

00:16it's not about the money it's about the pride and the team you know the teammates that you have and

00:21going out which europe does a fantastic fantastic job of but also understand this some of the times

00:25like yes you're in europe or you're like whistling straights or kiwa island the fact that the back

00:30of that page which means you get the most vocal gallery that you can possibly get with national

00:35pride on the line it's the perfect cocktail of exactly what we love with golf and also the fan

00:40pageantry talk to me about the expectations not for the team itself right now keith but what are

00:45we expecting from beth page this year well donnie it's funny you use the word cocktail i would use

00:50molotov cocktail the roof is going to come off of this place and here's why we all love the masters

00:55we absolutely love the masters but joe might root for a guy i might root for a guy and you might root

01:00for a different guy all three of us are rooting for team usa and there's a whole nother continent

01:05that's rooting for their side they're going to come together in the center of the universe at a place

01:09that we already know is a little bit on edge almost every single day and i tell you what everyone's

01:14talking about oh the ticket prices you're not going to get the everyday man in there everybody's going

01:18to show up for this thing i mean cue the psa for the pga of america at what like noon on friday like

01:24everybody's got to calm down i mean it is going to be completely out of control i've been on site a

01:29couple times already this summer people are lining up two three days in advance to try to play this

01:33golf course i mean everybody i mean it is a powder keg ready to blow love it so it's interesting too

01:42because i know when they lost in rome a couple of years ago the the feeling was that the europe squad

01:49was in much better form they you know they had continued uh to continue to play afterwards

01:55are ready to go whereas the america a lot of the guys took off is that a big reason as to why a lot

02:00of these guys are playing in this tournament now and what are the european guys doing right now

02:04well the european guys are overplaying in the dp world tours flagship event the bmw championship they

02:11did that before rome they've got 11 of their 12 playing sep straka who you know he skipped a playoff

02:17event at the bmw he's not playing this week but the other 11 are we've got our 10 out at the pro

02:22core you know it's been three weeks since i've seen you guys you know this break is not good for

02:27where the rider cup lines up on the calendar now it's a perfect time of year to have this event

02:32because it's featured and even on a football weekend i know donnie it sounds sacrilegious but

02:37even on a football weekend we're gonna get some action here in golf and i tell you what like

02:42people are learning you know you watch all these old rider cup you know films and everything and

02:48these guys are like oh i was too nervous to play on the first tee and alternate shot so i let my

02:52partner do it we're not doing that anymore we have analytics that says donnie you're on the odd holes

02:57keith you're on the even and that's what we're doing we are learning addition by addition now you

03:02gotta remember it only happens every two years so it's not like every week you get to learn but the

03:06u.s side is learning and i know i've talked to their camp intimately and the way we're setting up the

03:11golf course we are going to be much better prepared than we were in rome and even though

03:16it might be a buddy's trip to beth page right we are bringing back the cup
