00:00At any time that Scotty Scheffler is in the field at any PGA Tour event,
00:04certainly at major championships, his price is going to be incredibly short.
00:08That is the case this week, plus $2.80.
00:11It is more than $4 shorter than anybody else on this list.
00:17Scheffler plus $2.80, the reigning United States Open champ Bryson DeChambeau,
00:22who won last year at Pinehurst, a 7-1 number.
00:26And Rory McIlroy, who completed the career Grand Slam earlier in the year at Augusta,
00:31a 12-1 number alongside Jon Rahm.
00:34Yeah, it's good stuff here.
00:35I mean, the superstars come out for the big events and none bigger, obviously,
00:38than the U.S. Open here.
00:39It should be a great test of golf.
00:40But understand this, players that have won it in the past, that have won majors,
00:44they pop up on the leaderboard because it's, hey, anybody can, yeah,
00:47we understand anybody can win it.
00:49But my goodness, if you're in your spot for a first championship,
00:53it's probably not going to be the U.S. Open at that point
00:55because of how tough it is to handle the rough
00:57and handle all the pressure down the stretch it goes.
00:59But it just, it's wild.
01:00Like, we're going to talk about how tough this golf course is this week
01:03and the way it sets up, which means, Ben,
01:06you should have like 25 guys all stacked up on top of each other saying,
01:10well, I don't know who's going to win because of how hard that golf course is
01:13and how good these players are.
01:14And yet there's Scotty Scheffler in a U.S. Open at a plus 280 price
01:20and the next competitor is Bryson DeChambeau,
01:22who won it last year at a 7-1 price.
01:25It's always crazy.
01:26And then I say, well, all right, that's the price.
01:28I don't want to, well, who do you want to take outside of Scotty Scheffler
01:30when you know he's going to be there when it's all said and done
01:33with a legitimate chance to win this?
01:35But the price point, plus 280 in a major insanity,
01:40and probably Scotty Scheffler will win it again.
