Panama: Groups Denounce Political Persecution Under Mulino

In Panama, social and trade union organizations denounced political persecution by the government of José Raúl Mulino against their leaders and directors in an attempt to silence social protests against his administration. Social organization leaders have been sued for protesting against neoliberal policies that undermine Panamanians' social rights.
