00:06in the capital on Saturday.
00:08The move comes a day after an appeals court handed jail terms of up to 45 years to a group
00:13of opposition leaders, businessmen and lawyers.
00:16In a ruling seen as a sign of President Kaye Said's increasingly authoritarian rule, they
00:21were charged with conspiracy to overthrow him.
00:23Moments before her arrest, Issa and two other convicted politicians urged Tunisians to continue
00:28protesting and reject tyranny.
00:31During a power grab in July 2021, Said suspended parliament and expanded executive power so
00:36he could rule by decree.
