00:00Well, once again, we saw some fog this morning. That fog should become a little bit more patchy as we head into tonight.
00:04As warmer and drier air moves into the area, temperatures will be near 80 on Thursday, and warm weather is sticking around.
00:21So, yet another morning where we had some dense fog advisories from northern Minnesota across southeastern Minnesota
00:26into western Wisconsin through the mid to late morning hours, and just like the last couple mornings, burning off by the mid to late morning.
00:33So, visible on satellite, though, again. And this time, we did see some fog in western Minnesota.
00:37This is a patch of fog there all across the Red River Valley and also across parts of the North Metro, Lake Superior, southeastern Minnesota.
00:45Again, all burning off, though, pretty quickly.
00:47And I think overnight tonight, that fog will be more patchy, confined to mostly northeastern Minnesota into western Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota again.
00:54Once again, much of the metro kind of avoiding the denser fog, at least.
00:59We've got that high-pressure park to our north still.
01:01Continue to pump in that cool, moist air clockwise off of Lake Superior, which helps to produce some of that fog with these light winds and clear skies in the overnight hours.
01:10Back in the mid-70s today, some upper 70s off across western Minnesota.
01:14And then tomorrow, temperatures will be even warmer.
01:17We're looking at highs near 80 in the Twin Cities, probably in the low to mid-80s across west-central and southwestern Minnesota.
01:22This will be our eighth one this month, and we're probably not done.
01:26We've probably got a couple more, at least, on the way, too.
01:29Jetstream continues to be roaring to our north across southern Canada, and that means that's the track of all the systems of any weather note.
01:36We've got a clipper system here across parts of west-central Canada right now, trailing cool front with it.
01:42And we're going to see a couple of these move by, mostly to our north, but that trailing cool front will drop the temperatures a little bit here across the northern third of the state by Friday and Saturday.
01:51You can kind of see that cool air just brushing northern Minnesota.
01:54That's number one clipper.
01:56Number two clipper comes through Friday night, again, kind of keeping some cooler air in place across northern Minnesota.
02:01But overall, a warmer air winning the day here.
02:04But that first clipper goes through largely quietly, but the second one, this is going to bring some showers across Manitoba and Ontario and maybe far northern Minnesota here.
02:13Friday night could see a few showers out of that.
02:16But overall, this upper-level ridge that's been moving back and forth across the west and the central part of the country remains largely in place.
02:23That keeps the cold air to the north, and it's going to keep things pretty warm and dry overall, too.
02:28So we've got at least a couple more 80s, probably near 80 tomorrow, and then potentially Sunday, Monday, some 80-degree readings.
02:34That would bring us up to about 10 80-degree readings here for the month of September, which is above even the modern average.
02:42I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but September is a dramatically warmer month than it was a few or five decades ago.
02:5075 today, partly cloudy skies, another nice day, very similar temperatures to the last couple of days.
02:56Even warmer these next several days, though.
02:5880 tomorrow, sunnier skies because I think that fog will be patchier, more shallow.
