00:00Well, the stretch of warm, dry days continue with a little bit more patchy fog here in the overnights the next couple nights.
00:16So you can see that fog on satellite imagery this morning. It's that white haze that doesn't really move.
00:22Much of eastern Minnesota had some fog, dense fog, even early this morning, and we'll probably see a little bit of that fog again tonight.
00:27And tomorrow night, gradually less and less fog, though, I think, over these next few days as conditions stabilize and things get a little dry around here.
00:35But early tomorrow morning here, 7 a.m., forecast visibility shows that much of eastern Minnesota probably will see fog again.
00:42But then by early Thursday, fog confined more to Lake Superior and north-central Minnesota probably.
00:47So I don't think we'll see as much of that fog here after tonight.
00:50One of the culprits is high pressure, which we normally associate with clear skies, sunshine, and we do have that during the day.
00:56But that also means light winds and winds that are coming out of the northeast here as that air flows clockwise around that high pressure.
01:03And that northeast wind is kind of a damp, cool wind from Lake Superior and Ontario.
01:08And also, high pressure keeps those winds very light.
01:10So light winds, clear skies in the overnight, the fact that nights are longer now,
01:14allows those temperatures to drop more towards those dew points, all leads to more fog.
01:18So back in the low to mid-70s, though, this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon, despite the fog.
01:23But western Minnesota, both today and tomorrow, will be the warmer spots because they'll have less or even no fog.
01:28So upper 70s there.
01:30By Thursday, we start to warm it up across all the regions here as we see less of that fog to start.
01:35So temperature is close to 80 in the western part of the state.
01:37And by Friday, it looks like we will see low 80s in the Twin Cities, too.
01:40And we may have one or two more yet before September ends.
01:44So a very warm month here continues.
01:47Yet another September that will be warmer than normal.
01:49And over the next 10 days to two weeks, these are forecast temperature anomalies,
01:53continuing above normal temperatures overall.
01:56Some fluctuations.
01:57But keeping in mind, the normal high now is in the 60s.
02:00All of these temperatures are above normal.
02:02This is the European model.
02:04And it even has us hitting 80 degrees a few times in October still.
02:07So we're not done with the warmth just yet.
02:09And it's going to be overall pretty dry, too.
02:11This is a seven-day rainfall forecast.
02:13All the precipice staying to our south and east.
02:16You can see a big donut hole of dry weather here across the upper Midwest into southern Canada or so.
02:21So 73 today.
02:22We'll continue to see those low clouds.
02:24It's the leftover fog bank decreasing.
02:26More patchy fog overnight tonight, probably across much of eastern Minnesota again,
02:31with those temperatures dropping back to the upper 50s.
02:3373 again tomorrow afternoon.
02:34And as we see drier air work in here, we'll see more sunshine.
02:38And that means some warmer temperatures.
02:39Upper 70s Thursday, probably near 80.
02:42On Friday, too, a beautiful last weekend of September.
02:46Upper 70s for highs.
02:48Those readings are 10 degrees above normal.
02:50Lots of sunshine.
02:52And, yeah, continuing Monday, the second to last day of September, still close to 80 degrees.
02:55And you can see in the upper right there, normal high for this period is in the upper 60s.
02:59And the normal low at 50 degrees.
03:02And we've only had a handful of nights below that 50 degree mark.
03:05That tells you how warm these overnights have been as well.
